The problem with league right now (and why i havn't played a summoner's rift game since season 8) is that one player's actions can cause you to LOSE a game almost guaranteed, yet one player (yourself) performing well doesn't guarantee you a win. Your individual performance seems to mean far less than it did in early days of league. I got tilted so easily if one person on my team was playing bad because it feels like even if i dominate my lane, try and help out other lanes, it's meaningless. The other team doesn't have that one weak link. Not to mention the unbelievable amount of toxicity from players, people going afk/inting games, and the general "ff20 gg" mentality is why league is so tilting to me.
EXACTLY! This: "The problem with league right now (and why i havn't played a summoner's rift game since season 8) is that one player's actions can cause you to LOSE a game almost guaranteed, yet one player (yourself) performing well doesn't guarantee you a win. Your individual performance seems to mean far less than it did in early days of league." I feel like its just a new generation playing and they're more emotional, less team oriented and have little to no commitment to ranked queue. It's so harder to climb nowadays compared to season 3/4/5, people just int and dgaf, I had less inters and more teamplay in my time.
The reason I feel like I always tilt is because even if you have a team where 80 percent is doing decent that one person can ruin 80 percent of effort if they feed. Of course I cant think of a viable solution since the game is meant to be a team game with everyone having a different important role. Make one role stronger than the others nobody would play it and people would hate riot. If all roles have equal impact the match is decided if 1 person feeds. I just need to accept the fact that matchmaking is a gamble and if I played well that's all that matters. Easier said than done I feel like when I have a good performance but my team doesn't I get really upset regardless.
Bro i have a problem.... I feel like there is always someone that int my games... And i go mental boom min 10.... When i play jng i am 13/0 and all my team lose.... I cant handle my mental... Any tips?
idk how to avoid tilt when you have to play vs unwinnable hardcounter match up where all you can do is AFK especially when everything goes wrong.... the game is coded terribly the game is at fault not meeee
Good video. Coach Kairos, what would you suggest for a player who is overly critical of themselves? Like I take personal responsibility for my actions but I also tend to blame myself too much leading to tilt in the form of a destructive attitude because I feel like an idiot for making that mistake.
For that, I'd tell you to focus on letting your mistakes go once you've corrected them in your mind. ex: you gank a losing lane Self talk "next time I'll play for my winning/neutral lanes instead" then let it go. Don't ruminate on it.
I think the most important thing is to remind yourself to move on. You can't change the past, you can only change the future. So remind yourself what the correct play would've been, then let it go. Holding onto mistakes only hurts you.
He said it in the video, if you tilt yourself from making mistakes(I'm very much like you) then use those mistakes and be a better version of yourself for next game and move on. It's too late and you can't change the outcome of the past.
im so done right now... i was always around silver 3 - 2 for years and i managed to climb to silver 1 70 LP could already see that becoming gold is in reach. but then in a matter of 2 days i drop to silver 4 15 LP by losing almost every single game after game. im not doing anything different then before and it seems i cant climb up anymore...
It happens and I know that sounds shallow, but it happened to me recently. Went from gold 2 to gold 4 in a matter of hours. VERY frustrated, I just said fuck it, ill play tomorrow or another day and guess what, I started winning again. So you can't beat yourself down when you start losing, as long as you play your best or make an effort in every game, then you're fine. Like the video says, it doesn't matter what other do, but only what you do. GL pal :)
what causes tilt. the full hp tank sion that never goes in and wait for assassin to start the teamfight. which makes you lose the teamfight. That shit is tilting
In your video you say that most players tilt off of external factors like teammates or luck, but I actually tilt off of my own mistakes the most. I’ll make a couple mistakes in a row, fall behind, and go on a toxic spiral of, “I’m so bad, how can I play like this, I need to stop playing this game and go VOD review or watch better players,” or whatever. And I get really insecure about my own gameplay and it prevents me from playing well. No clue what to do about this.
Hey I know that is off topic but how can I stop a counter jungle from happening to me? I know that I can ward and if I see him on my top blue camps while I'm ganging bot I can go and take his red bot camps! But I can't think of any other way?
The best way to stop counter jungling is to make sure you've cleared the camps on the opposite side. Ex: if you want to gank bottom into drake, clear from your top side all the way down. If the enemy jungler tries to invade when you show bot, they'll just waste their time cuz no camps are available. This isn't always practical, but it is the best outcome. You can also gank when you know the enemy jungler is in base (saw them recall/on low health) or on the same side of the map as you. That way, you know they won't be in position to counter jungle when you make the play.
1st i get lucky when i feel bad not like mad but emotionaly bad and depressed and 2nd i do recognize the feeling of an enemy laner being toxic to my plays and winning beacause of the obvious mistakes my allies make even when im already under control and don't start flaming i still don't get how did i end up loosing to a toxic enemy who is really stupid too expect i also have to try convince my allies to do better plays than the mistakes so they don't repeat and im not used to saying mb too often cuz some time i even predicted my hook and hooked and i can't say mb when i made such an epic play :/
The more I play league the more I think that a stable mental is actually more important than mechanics or macro. When Im on a good day, I just play for the fun of it and even though im not the best player I usually win more than loose. Then again, on bad days, I kind of need the win to feel good, and every mistake I or the team makes irritates me most disturbingly, knowing that this might cost me the win I desperately need. League is definitely not healthy to play if you NEED the win.
Even if i'm still climbing above 50% winrate, Jesus fkin Christ I lose it so hard when I'm getting 3 or more losing games in a row, even if I try hard like there is no possible way of winning a game where you still do more impact than your whole team. I just can't to put myself in a mood to play if i'm really ahead and my team is really behind, those games still give me a negative LP. The losing streaks just break my heart
In my opinion warwick shouldnt have face checked the pixel bush and should have spam pinged help at the crab, if anivia doesnt move / malphite shows up he just doesnt contest it and goes to the other scuttle
I don't tilt because of my teammates, I tilt because of either I make bad/stupid plays which end up costing me a lot, or the enemy players get very lucky and me getting very unlucky. The latter tilts me especially hard and I lose it easily...
Just find a solution to your mistakes and move on, but keep that solutions in your mind so that next game you will avoid it. Another thing you could do is turn off autopilot mode and start to actually think about the game. Best thing to actually implement that is to talk to yourself what will you do every time and just talking in general about the game will make you better at it
You might be right but for the game experience in bronze-gold is different. The thing that annoys me the most is that i would loose because of a 4/1 surrender vote, where my vote seems to be invaluable. That is triggering specially when you know you can win. Another thing is that sometimes the game is not fair, when a fiora/akali/irelia/katarina/fizz/yasuo/yone/quitana/zed/... can 100/0 you under turret and there is no counterplay and your team won't do anything at all in response. You know what I'm just wasting my time, I'm going to sleep.
The state of the game right now, means you HAVE TO duo queu. Solo queu is hit or miss gamble at this point. It's like poker, you can be good at it, but you can just get the wrong cards, wich means you should fold. Unfortunately you can't fold in league of legends. This is why dodging was good and why it shouldn't be changed like it is now. The game is in a really bad state rn for solo queu.
Theres no way you wont tilt in low rank elo. They just plain dumb. I can manage if only 1 or even 2 dumb mate. But 4 all with minus score ... I doubt riot will ban me even if i curse on them
Im done with this game, do not like it, been playing since end of season 3, even if you dont tilt you still cant climbe unless a good duo or find a way to climbe, or play a champ that doesnt die or gets fed somehow and doesnt die
This video helped me. I'm trying to understand why I can't just play League and have fun. I love the game, that's why I keep coming back after I tilt. It turns out I am a sore loser. I hate to lose even in ARAM or just Blind Pick. The games mean nothing. I can spend 20-30 minutes having fun playing a video game with 9 other humans or I can blame my teammates for stupid things I do. I am working to change that mentality. 1. My teammates are not responsible for my play. Not my mistakes, not my deaths, not protecting me, not when I over extend or be too aggressive, nothing. Blaming them doesn't help anyone. It only makes me madder and them think I'm an angry jerk (which I am acting like at the moment) 2. I must own my mistakes. If I'm too far into the enemy that's my fault. Not the enemy. Not my support. Not my jungler. Me. If I get caught and killed then I need to think about what I did wrong, not how my teammates didn't help me. If it happens more than once it's clearly not my teammates. It's me. 3. It's just a video game. I'm not a pro player, there's no rank or money on the line. I can play other games and win or lose and it doesn't upset me. But I need to accept that it's just a game and let it go. 4. I need to stop being a sore loser. I'm going to lose games. I can go 45-0 and still lose. That's life. It happens. If I go 45-0 and lose then I need to think about what I could have done to help the team. That's the mindset I need more of. How can I help the team instead of "why didn't the team help me?" This has helped to open my eyes. Thank you.
Play well every game, and think "If I was on the enemy team and you swap me with the enemy (x), would we have won?" If the answer is yes, you will climb eventually
“I hope that this will help you recognize and stop tilt before it destroys your games”
It already did, that’s why I’m here

okay, understood, when i ping that my midlaner is gone and bot doesnt care its my ok, my mid is now 13/2 and its only 8min

The main problem of most players is that they are actually talking too much instead of playing.
I definitely agree. As soon as you start typing, you're gonna make double the mistakes you normally would.
