Call of the Void is ambitious and features ancient leviathan's we only hoped to see years ago. Some of them are already modeled which amazed me, Give me your thoughts on what you've seen here, It's a very different take on what i normally do being out of game reacting to a trailer and discussing behind the scenes so hopefully you enjoy it even if it's a dramatic change of pace :)
Yeah, but they look really out of place in the game. Why would something like that exist? It fails to make use of the 3D environment that the ocean provides, making it very immobile. With Sea Treader Leviathans look like they sacrifice the ability to move 3 dimensionally in exchange for a lot of armor but not these smaller relatives.
I love the idea of a submarine that fills the gap between the seamoth and the cyclops. Also the peepers sort of remind me of volcano snails who have an iron sulfide coating, possibly for protection
Please tell me I’m not the only person that thinks that if the giant creature at the end IS in fact some kind of leech, then that means that there is something big enough for it to attach too.
With this idea stuck in my head now, the whole thing becomes way more unsettling... not even the Garg could handle one of those beast as a parasite! A potential host would have to be much, MUCH, larger
@@rycardawor6306 Nah that thing is tiny compared to the Garg. Remember that sub is smaller then the Cyclops and the Garg can suck it in like a person eating pasta.
The way the worm looks makes me think it's going to be (lore wise) a relative to the Ice Worm, they share some very similar traits other than just being worms. It could possibly just end up being named Void Worm, but I think it might end up having it's own separate name, as well as lore.
The part where the voice tells u to come closer is the giant leviathan. The cut to that pyramid is to show what importance stuff u discovered beforhand. But yah it’s a mesmerizing worm.

It's not a mod. It's just a movie that the creator hopes modders will make real and so insists it's a "pOtEnTiAl MoD" Basically he's an ideas guy trying to trick people into thinking it's a real mod when it's just concept art.

I love this, it feels like we're getting transported to an even more ancient part of the planet with alien creatures centuries older than the ones we see in subnautica
Imagine if the Leviathan Worm is just a parasite to something unimaginably bigger and scarier. I mean it even has graspers near the mouth, two of which have bloody tips like they're used as anchors/ hooks. I mean it holds SOME resemblance to lampreys, which are parasitic in nature. They usually feed on fish 2-5 times their own size, but sometimes they will even feed from whales which are waaaay bigger.
Looks wonderful and the leviathan at the end reminds me of either a Bobbitt worm or lamprey. Both are able to get to the size of your average person's arm and most definitely can and will take a chunk out of your body.
Is it just me who thinks there is a huge Modding Boom currently like we have ROTA, Socknautica, Nautilus, The Call of The Void and some other things Edit: the other thing was the FCS mod suite, thank you YaBoiBoris Edit 2: Sea to Sea is another one, thank you minecad2828
This looks so cool. I really hope aci continues working on it. I love how it seems to have an emphasis on crystals too so maybe those would be really crucial parts of the story.
I love the idea of making the concept art into actual creatures, I just love almost all of the subnautica concept art and seeing it come to life is so sick. I cant wait to see the Titano-Bleeder in game (thats what im calling the "worm") this mod looks so cool to me, it honestly has struck more excitement in me than most of the other big mods ive seen, mad repsect for Aci and his team! I hope this turns into the mod we are waiting for!
I haven't really ever played too many subnautica mods but this mod would definitely get me into it, it looks amazing and im hoping that development continues!
6:14 I'm pretty sure the tentacles are based off of a piece of concept art called "Single-celled landscape" which shows a mass of tentacles seemingly not attached to anything grabbing a cyclops.
I love how they made subnautica in a whole different perspective it feels different and how they used old concepts is just amazing I’d love to see all of this in the mod especially the the architect pyramid and the hydra sub

Maybe I've played too much Ark, but these creatures kinda look like prehistoric versions of the current Subnautica creatures. Like somehow the player gets ported back to the land before time. Very interesting.... now if I could only figure out how to add mods to my game 😂

God damn. Guess I missed a few of Aci's videos, because I had no idea he was behind this mod (and I've been watching his vids for... years now? Pretty sure I subed to him during the beta). Anyway, Aci, Anthomnia, yes. All the yes. Please yes. I will gladly jump back into OG Subnautica for this mod without a second thought.
Something I noticed is it looks like there will be an upgrade to the reinforced dive suit, but that might just be the lighting playing tricks on me. In the scene the accents on the suit are purple, but on the actual reinforced suit they’re orange. Just something I noticed in passing

I don't know if i seen correctly but there is 2 types of peepers one with purple fins and red-ish fins also we can see Boomerangs have also purple fins so it might be something to do more with crystals something like infestation maybe that can be more visible on smaller fauna correct me if i am mistaken

This mod looks like it could be so cool!!! Such a creative interpretation and continuation of the lore that Subnautica sets in place. I will say my only real "criticism" is that as much as the creatures are old concept art they where developed further for a reason, they don't really capture the style of a 4546B animal very well, but honestly with some clever animation and sound design that won't be hard to look past. The production value alone is extraordinary, I hope the developers are given enough positive attention to continue :D
It would be interesting if some of the larger tentacles were cast-off bits just there at the seafloor. The real ocean has some wild areas where massive dead whales are host to other organisms feeding on them. So, I could see something like that in the game void seafloor with smaller creatures picking at the remains.
Yeah! Like the subnautica version of a whale fall! Sunken tentacles or maybe even a reefback and a bunch of creatures that would take advantage of the feast

Fun fact , the giant worm may not be even the biggest thing out in the void lore wise , the rounded mouth suggest it is a LEECH-like creature , which would explain the extra mandibles and spikes , in order to grab onto their host better as well as the scars , so , if my theory ends up being correct , this is only one of the lesser creatures in the void ecosystem , after all , parasites need bigger hosts...

i have a bit of a theory (speculation) that giant worm thing is going to be this mod's sea emperor. it kind of seemed to recognize the sub, and the way it came up like that gave me the vibes of the sea emperor climbing on the suspended cube in its tank

I'd guess the tentacles are a reference or direct copy of the single cell biome that was thought about, reacting to the light emitted by the vehicle
