See, for YOU it was an anti-climatic ending. But for US it was entertaining. When you played yarn chicken with the super bulky, when you skipped 96 and best of all you did 45, we were all entertained. And one of the best parts of your videos is your reaction when things go sideways. 😂🤣😂
I'm glad you found it entertaining! I think it would've felt slightly less anti-climatic if I'd been able to crochet/film most or all of the video in one go but because it was so fragmented, it felt more disappointing than it actually was (....if that makes any sense lol).
Omg that could be fun. Could do a dice game 1- Row of single crochet 2- Row of double crochet 3- Row of treble crochet 4- increase every stitch 5- decrease every stitches 6- increase in Row ( can be as many as you want) 7- decrease in Row ( can be as many as you want) 8- change colour 9- texture stitch Row 10- short Row Brain isn't giving me other options. And could make it as big or small as you want.
I'm loving The Hook Up - it's great to the see the work of so many talented crafty people I likely wouldn't otherwise see and it's inspiring me to continue practicing my various crafts 😊
I love your playful approach when setting yourself crochet challenges 🤗 When you said childhood games, I initially thought of Twister. Then I realised how boring that would be as a challenge, repeatedly making coloured circles with a white background. That's why you're a crochet content creator, and I'm just a bell end 😂👍🏽
Leigh, you are absolutely brilliant and beyond creative!!! Love this series! In the states, we have “Chutes and Ladders” - it’s sliding boards (like at the playground) & the ladders up to the top of the slide! “Snakes” is WAY COOLER; our 4 boys would’ve LOVED that much more! Cheers! ☺️🫶🏻🧶
Family rule if you roll a number that takes you over 100 you have to go backwards by the amount over. Must hit 100 exactly. Makes the game last longer.
What a great concept. A couple of my granddaughters have started crocheting and this would be a fun way to discover increase their creativity. The six dice might be more difficult to succeed. I hope you do this again. xxJane 🐑🌼
If you play again instead of each tile being a different challenge the challenges should be on cards (spin wheel) that you drawl from because some tiles are going to have a higher chance of landing on them where others have practically no chance. Also some of the challenges could be to Move Back _ Spaces, Move Forward _ Spaces, Move to the next Frog/Chain (does it have to be the start of it or can it be where you would land if you took the Chain/frog, sounds like a house rule choice). Maybe some spots require you to drawl multiple or no challenges. if playing multiplayer then # of completed octos should play in to the winner so challenges can include swapping or stealing an octo, or a communal octo to work on and who ever does the last row get its ( maybe in the place of the Crochet up to _ row and become crochet two rows of the communal oto).
I know it didn't go how you wanted, but this was very fun to watch. I was thinking of other games that would be fun. Maybe battleship with someone else and random instructions when you miss? Either way, I love your content whatever you do! Thank you :) (also the octos also reminded me of ice cream, not gonna lie)
I think if you land on a frog or chain you should have to combine both square numbers challenges. I noticed when you went up the chain you didn’t do the first squares challenge just where you ended up.
The octopus with the picot stitches looks like a real octopus called a Dumbo octopus!! He needs eyes and to be saved!

The picot stitching on the one octopus reminds me of the alien O from home!! So cute

I'm so happy to hear that!! I love being able to make The Hook Up segment, I'm really lucky to have the opportunity to give back to the community 💙.
I love the idea of combining games with crochet ❤️ always really fun to watch
Your octopus from challenge 11 reminds me of Professor Inkling from Octonauts :) he’s meant to be a dumbo octopus which another commenter suggested x

I love your bonkers crochet games.
Gotta say I loved 45 🥰🥰. This was awesome ❤️🥰
Definitely the best square 💙.

......it's funny you should mention Battleship 😉.
I love your crochet games. ❤
You Are so Creative! I love your ideas

That's a good idea! I'll try and remember that one for next time.
love the creativity never wouldve thought of putting snakes and ladders ans crochet together
Your reaction to square 96/98 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This could be fun if each square was a different part of random patterns. At the end you have to create something with all the pieces you made.
Love all your podcasts 😊
Love this. I so enjoy watching you. Where can I get your patterns? I would love to make some. Thanks for sharing hugs to you
The octopus from challenge 11 looks like Pearl (small pink octopus) from Finding Nemo 🤩
Hi. Have ever crocheted a groot?
😂😂😂
I need the pattern to the octopus, my 6 year old sister in law would love it. Please someone help
