Folks just had to say a few words about Gary the owner of this collection and his wife Mitzi, after talking to them only a few minutes you feel like you've knew them your whole life. We cannot thank them enough for allowing us to share just a small part of this wonderful collection with you guys, we hope in the future We'll be able to show you much more.
Gary worked for decades with my father in Law Charles Prewitt. WBIR Heartland series done a show on those men at the Benham Mines. ruclips.net/video/BVSuPyfBIX8/видео.html
Hey buddy talk good to see you on video and you and I are probably around the same age I remember that old stuff but I was very young at the time. Tks for taking us back in time to truly the good old days. We love ❤y’all
It was fun stepping back in time for a little while and it is comforting to see that Gary has a phone booth for Superman to change in if he is needed in Benham. Thanks Coyotes.
Awesome video Coyote's! Thanks for introducing us to Gary! His collection is awesome! My kind of stuff! Awesome video! Thank ya'll so much for sharing!
I was born on Schoolhouse Hill in Benham. I can recall my mother telling me about life as a wife of a coal miner. We moved away to look for more permanent work to Michigan in the late 40’s. My uncle retired after 42 years in the mines at Benham. My Dad is buried in Big Stone Gap, Va. I am proud to be a coal miner’s daughter. They were all proud, hard working men. Thanks for such an informative video.
He truly loves to share these things with people and talk about them. He and his wife made us feel like old friends after the first 10 minutes of meeting them.
Omg! Talk about going down memory lane! Wow so many things from my childhood there. It is amazing. I could spend all day there reminiscing about old times. Lord I remember being at the drive in and my step dad drove off with the drive in speaker still attached to his driver door. 😂😂😂😂😂 The coke machine omg! There was nothing like pulling an ice cold coke out, popping the top off and getting a little brain freeze on a hot day. The jukebox..so many things there from my childhood. Blows me away. I have been spending time with my grandson that I haven't seen since he was born. He turned a year and half old 2 days ago. It has been wonderful spending time with my baby girl and her family. I will be a great grandma come November this year to my first great grandchild. I had 15 grandchildren but only 13 are alive. Loving my time with my family. I really enjoyed the video loved seeing things from my childhood. God bless
Thanks for watching Catherine, and congratulations on becoming a great grandmother! Driving out with the speaker on the car sounds like me, I drove off without taking the guys pump handle out one time 😆🤣😆
I was a miner operator that cut through the mountain into slope hollow that Benham (IH) wanted completed before they shut down i believe in 79. Great video's
Sorry we're a little late in getting back to you Kenny, but response to this video not only on RUclips but on Facebook too has kind of overwhelmed us! The song was teenager in Love. I would have loved to let it play cuz it went with all the stuff he had so well, but you wouldn't believe how diligent record companies and publishing houses can be when it comes to knowing when and where their copyrighted material is used, no matter how old it is. You can use it but the record company takes the revenue ☹️ thanks for watching Kenny!
Awesome Video, and I have used a lot of the things he showed to you today, but I learned about a lot of other things in there that I didn't know what it was or how to use it... Thank you, and Thank you, Gary for showing us around.
Love the video I just want to say that the miner s work really hard what a dangerous job it is God bless all the people of Kentucky TN. And Virginia God bless america 🇺🇸 and 🇮🇱
Thanks Willie, I agree with you! And The news about you being cancer-free is so wonderful we're going to shout you out in our next video. Sorry about your comments about it disappearing we also had almost 200 views on one of our videos disappear we've sent a message about it to RUclips hopefully they'll fix it. Thanks and God bless you!
Dear sir:Just a note on Henry Ford.He had a fleet of ships on the Great Lakes that hauled iron ore from his mines in northern,MI. too his factory in River Rouge. He had a lock.⚓
That kettle pot is a proof of the worldwide flood. I have a good friend who works at the Ark who teaches the biblical version or creation. That piece is amazing!

We're never bothered by the people who watches our videos, if it wasn't for you guys we would just be walking around talking to ourselves. 😆

Is this exhibition open to the public?
It's not public but Gary loves to share it with people when he has the time, and there's a lot more I wasn't able to show.
