Nice video but inaccurate, at least for the aerial part: Roland Garros indeed approached the problem of the bullets hitting the propeller when firing forward mounted machine guns on planes, but it was Saulnier (of Morane-Saulnier Works) that studied and designed it, however the mechanism was not working (apparently due to the inconsistent rate of fire of the Hotchkiss machine gun on which it was tested), so Garros used the (malfunctioning) interrupted gear with a slimmer propeller and a blade deflector and he indeed obtained the first ever victory in a plane while shooting through the propeller even if not the first victory ever. In April 1915, Garros had to land on German controlled territory due to engine failure and was taken prisoner while the plane was captured. Anthony Fokker (of the Dutch Aircraft Manufacturer) studied the plane and constructed the first functioning version of the interrupted gear mechanism which was mounted on German planes and gave Germany a period of aerial superiority in WW1 known as the Fokker Scourge. Can't say for the tennis and personal life part of this video but I hope is more accurate of the aerial part.
It’s an aesthetic choice. The images/footage is a moment in time, a coloured splash, but not the focus of the video. It’s there to provide context but not steal the show.
I am left impressed every time you make an amazing video of the history of tennis! Absolutely amazingly
Really love your videos

Not only tennis. Special edition Peugeot cars are also named Rolland Garros.

Why do you ‘paint’ over real images and videos.
