I know this you might consider this a sacrilegious question. But are these old Goldwings "fast" (right now I have a '81 Suzuki GS650GT) I want to get a big ol' motorcycle but don't want to pay a whole lot but don't want to be disappointed by speed.
Too many lights, you're overloading the Alternator/stator . Look at the volt meter it's not keeping up with the demand. Nice bike though. I have an 83 standard, that's right no extra lights, no radio, intercom, CB ect. Totally old school. I have a name for road sofas. Das Boat

Nice. The stator and starter covers are notorious for burning those items up for lack off cooling air. Looks good, I took mine off

I have a 83' GL1100 too, and that 83' GL1100 Goldwing you have is very Nice, super clean. they are a Great bike

Bad idea, my 79 1000 survived a Horrific crash engine saved by crash bars. Put the back on. Goldwing owner since 79.
