    Hello Jessie--
Like a good sniper or mortar man....I appreciate your cool & calm (click-click) responses/ replies to negative commentors, and the way you typically deal with sellers
Your military training serves you well, dude-- !
If I have my history right...I believe it was a famous WWII commander-in-chief(?) that said something about - 'walking softly and carrying a big stick'?
In buying & reselling, I see the 'big stick' as.... 'knowledge & a wallet ($)'
For most 'deals'...I agree,... 2 adults agree to a price = a solid deal.
Basically, out in the 'buy & re-sell jungle'....It's Seller beware or...Seller does not really care...or...Seller needs to do their research! lol
Lots of sellers are not equipped and/ or have no desire to deal with the: work/ hassles/ fees of re-selling this stuff on-line, which takes hours--
So, they sell a load quickly, for fast cash, often at a wholesale price....
    OK,
So, If that Disney transaction took an hour of seller's time, he got $800.
(yes, the seller indicated that it took a lot of time & money to acquire the Disney lot, but-- it really nothing to do with you, being the buyer, on that day)
Well, I'm guessing it probably took something like, at least 30-40 hours, all-in, for you to sell everything, for the $1,852 you made, which comes out to about $50/ per hour-
    I sell on-line too,...
But, given the choice....I would rather be the wholesaler, who sells a load 'quickly' for a smaller profit, per-piece, to an on-line re-seller...and... let the
re-seller spend hours, etc., selling each item, for a higher $ return.
    2nd comment---
Regarding taking Google or ebay photos, in front of a seller....
Here is an easy technique to prevent offending a yard-seller or a commentor below....
    1) First-- It doesn't hurt to 'ask' seller if it's ok to take a photo(s)... it is a kind of a nice ice-breaker...of course 99.9% reply from seller is 'yes. sure'
    2) While taking the google or ebay photo, you say..."I 'shop' for others, so I'm going to send the pic(s) to... brother/ cousin/ biz-partner/ or neighbor...
10-15 seconds later... you are deciding if it's a yes or a no, to buy it.
--This is not being dishonest... it is simply a disarming tactic/ so no one gets 'offended'...---
Yes of course, a reseller shops for others, ....on-line and in-person, too!
A re-seller also buys things that I will be splitting $ with a partner...
And also buy gifts for others, etc.
    OR-
Maybe keep it for myself ? !
    3) Besides,...
WHO CARES WHAT I"M GOING TO DO WITH MY PURCHASE?!!!
(Pssst....THE SELLER JUST WANTS THE CASH! ) Tax-free, no less! Lol
So, why do some folks take these reselling things too personally and / or get negative? IDK!!
As long as you are pleasant and polite, while seller & buyer agree on price = all should be good here.
**--The goal here is to make win-win-win transactions--**
(One thing I would have done a little differently--- When the seller forgot that he offered $30 price each for the whole bunch,....and yes, he checked with the relative, who said yes- $30 ...
I would have slowed my roll, backed up a bit and just asked if the $30 he offered, was still OK...(99% of the time- the deal will stay, as was first agreed)
And then I would add re-assurance/ reminder that...
    a) I'm buying a lot / you are getting rid of a lot
    b) I got cash
    c) I want this to be a win-win situation here)
Oh-- Here is the proof that I was not being dishonest when I was taking pics of the yard sale stuff--
Yes,.. I will be sending pics to either; my brother/ cousin/ biz partner/ or neighbor,....
But, I will send the pics later, after I buy it, of course ! And hopefully, I will get their approval... !
I always send purchase pics to my peeps, to get their input, etc !
    p.s.-
Nice work on your adventure-picks/flips, soldier Jess!
Nice job on the videos you produce!
Keep up the good work, dude !

My fiancé and I subscribe to your channel and others and I've never commented on any video before. First, thank you for your service. We have no problem with your negotiating skills. We get so angry that people are so clueless on how a free market economy works. They've been programmed to hate profit based businesses. Please don't feel you need to explain yourself to the haters. Keep up the good work in support of yourself and your family.

One of the crazy things I had happen was I was at a yard sale chatting with the guy running it and I mentioned I collect movies and he said "Well I used to collect movies too, but I don't any more and I need space. So if you want them they are all yours." That guy gave me roughly 10,000 movies and tv series for free. Took me 3 trips to drive it all home.

Jess, You do this for a LIVING, haters don't ! You get your BEST price they are willing to sell at , that's business ! Last year at the coin show I bought a coin for $500 . He was asking $525 . I went down 2 Dealer tables and sold it 2 minutes later for a $275 profit ! This helps to make up some bad deals I have gotten also . But I don't do this for a FULL TIME JOB you do . DON'T EXPLAIN YOURSELF you don't have to . I watch another Picker show and they go to garage sales in Florida . Many Sellers are elderly and don't know what they have . They get GOLD jewelry for $2 -$ 5 that is worth multiple hundreds of that and don't think twice about it . KEEP TRUCKING MY BROTHER & HAPPY THANKSGIVING...

Some people are pushy trying to barter. You are very polite and if they don't accept your offer, you're still polite 0:02 and kind as you should be. There's no reason for anyone to hate on you. Sounds s like jealousy to me. I resell a little to pay for my hobby of yard sales lol Through the years I've had a few pretty good flips. An old recorder bought for a dime i sold for $80. An old hat stretcher bought for a quarter I sold for $160. $10 Rogers snare drum i bought for $10 & sold for $340. Vintage Christmas ornaments and vibtage perfumes are my favorite things to find though. Easy flips and great profit.
Ignore the haters. They don't pay your bills...

    ***POSITIVE COMMENT***
    Great score.
Don’t worry about negative comments. You can’t please everyone. You provide great videos. Thanks for sharing!! My first flip was one of my best. It was a VCR new in box. I paid $29. It sold for $500. No apologies. 😂
I recently bought 27 books at a yard sale for $10.
One of them just sold for $250…I paid .37
    ($10 divided by 27)
You’re right. The hunt is the best part.

Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family! Keep doing what you’re doing because we love to watch your videos. Not sure why people feel impelled to pounce on every little thing…it is your business and $$ being invested, not theirs. I think you did great on that deal. You more than doubled your investment after fees and expenses. I don’t know if others realize how hard resellers work…it’s a lot of time, energy, manual labor, and money.

I agree 100% with check everything before buying. I have been buying/selling comics for over 30 years and it is a fact that you must check before handing over the money. I've purchased a few comics where there was a detached page inside, water stain in the middle or staining on back cover. Some sellers do not disclose this and it affects the price drastically. Money doesn't grow on trees to be throwing it away on something you won't make your money back on at least.

All of the resellers I watch, all of them use their phones in front of the sellers but... you share your information much more freely with the sellers. You are one of the nicest, most honest resellers on RUclips. INHO you're the most kind, most honest. Try not to worry about the criticism. It's the nature of the beast, there's always going to be someone that's going to pick you apart. You are actually giving resellers a good name one video at a time. Cheers

Great scores again Jesse. 14:21 haters people are just simply jealous! when they see others making hard earn money. before retiring, I work w/ 400+ city workers. almost everyone knows I was a big buy /sell guy who's into everything especially cars/ motorcycles. so, many work O/T & I don't - I rather go home & do my thing like you & on weekends search to buy. you won't believe how many are envious of me. I tell them you can do the same - no one stopping you. but they are lazy & don't want to put in the work. Lol - people need to motivate themselves instead of being envy if you want to be the next millionaire next door.

What do you think your totals hours spent on these items were? From point of purchase to final shipment. Divide that by your profit. Also good for you, you found them at a Yard Sale so the gentleman was looking to move them, you worked the deal and both agreed and seemed happy with it. Nobody made him sell them. My best finds were actually old school BMX bikes, a pink 80’s GT performer at a thrift store for 5 bucks sold and shipped to Japan. A National Pro cruiser (1983) for 10 bucks at another thrift store went to a private collector in California and a Hutch Pro Racer ( 82-83 (pre serials number) and all Hutch components, at a garage sale for 10 bucks. I made a great return on those. "Hooah" Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I run my money just like you man. If I can get something worth 1k, and the seller is asking $5 well that's what I'm gonna pay. No remorse....as a seller you should know what something is worth when going to sell it. Anyways I don't want to write a huge paragraph, but wanted to mention one of my best flips. I've been reselling for 15 years. Full time for just 3 now. Just this summer I walked into a goodwill. As passed the racks on the wall that they throw all the lunch boxes, wallets, little random bags in. I grabbed a huge bag like 8 lbs of what looked like gi joes, but it was double bags and really cloudy. It said $4.99. I didn't even think twice. I Figured even if they were modern or knock off joes it was worth it. Didn't think much of it until I got home. I kid you not it was hundreds of pieces of weapons, heads, arms, legs, torso. I still wasn't 100% sure what I was looking at. I was born in 86 so the joes I may of had were 90s. I google lens a couple, and I hit the jackpot. It had to of been someone's collection that passed away. Every single one was taken apart as to change out the O rings. Which I did lmao. Took me 2 weeks to get them all together. In the end it was every single joe released from 82-89 besides around 10 which I had but were broken or missing parts. Including all the straight arms, and color variations it was wild. Paid 4.99 and grossed around 7k.....but was worth waaaay more than that in Nostalgia. It was great

Great job it’s all about making money if the person you’re dealing with is happy with the deal that’s all that matters. Quit letting the haters rent space in your head. This is how you feed your family.

As a reseller I have one question to ask. Why do you give a flying shyt about haters or jealous people that have a 9-5 job. 😂😂😂
I love your videos and your scores. People say on eBay it is selling for not it sold for. My husband is a veteran I spent time overseas with him. Your attitude is why I watch your straight forward and honest don’t care if you like it reminds me of my husband. You lose some big mouth uneducated viewers SO WHAT. Keep doing you.
My best find in the wild was a reel to reel new in the box. Gotta love the haters 😂😂😂

      @TheVeteranFlipper  24 дня назад

That's awesome. I used to buy and sell a lot more reel to reels. I would still buy them but just for the right price. Awesome score!

Great deal between 2 adults! Isn't that was garage sale hunting is for? The shopper is looking for the bargain and the person selling the items are looking to get rid of them. If the seller wanted top dollar then they could have did the work to sell online. It was a win/win... Some people are just born to complain...

Jesse, been going to say this for months....you focus and explain and criticize the negative comments. I don't care what people say and you don't either. You know how to run your business. You are coming off way too defensive. Answer these people by message NOT on the video with a dark cameo inset screen. We just want to watch you find, buy and sell. You are letting a bunch of shut-in wannabees bug you and are ruining our experience. You are getting more paranoid about neg comments. I would drop that content. I think you can see that no matter how fair you are and no matter what you do, they find a way to get under your skin. IGNORE IT. Present a happier attitude that you enjoy what you are doing, move along. Buy low, sell hi.....or don't do that business. you are supporting your family and trying to improve yourself. You are in an American Freedom Business. An entreprenuer doing commerce that is 3000 years old. The honest way. Everybody wants to find something cheap that is worth a lot of money....so.........where's the beef? The education, the search and research, risk, win-loss, filming the friggin thing, storing, packaging, marketing.Family day. It all takes work and continued education. Trash the nay sayers, they know nothing. Social media is full of those people on every issue. Don't give them their 5 min of fame.
