Finally- excellent info re one cause of high blood pressure..... no other health person has shared before. Thank you because I want to find out the cause and fix that rather than treating the symptoms. Thank you so much.

Also see if you have a tumor on your adrenal gland. That is another cause that can elevate your BP

Brilliant explanation. My mom has resistant hypertension, everyone says RAS could cause High BP but nobody explains why/how.
    Brilliant illustration here.

You mentioned medication to manage hypertension. If the dr manages (lowers Distolic BP) hypertension by reducing the flow of blood to the Kidney doesn’t that result in more kidney damage?

What are the average numbers of blood pressure with such condition? Also can it be possible cause of hypertension in a young guy. I've had high blood pressure - 150-170 since i was 13.

My blood pressure shot up to 207/90. I admitted to the hospital that same day and was kept there for 4 days undergoing scans and tests. They were able to bring my blood pressure down to between 124-160 (upper number) with medication. Ultimately, the ONLY cause for the swift and out of the blue rise to an upper number in the 200 range is a 60% blockage in my left renal artery. My hospital usually doesn't do stents until the blockage is over 75% (or so I was told by a nurse). I also have 3rd-stage chronic kidney disease caused by meds from afib in Nov. 2022 after a bout with covid. I've only been home from the hospital for 4 days. My blood pressure briefly went down to the 120s on my second day home. But, is mostly in the 140s to 150s.

@jolynna2 did they do a ct scan to see if you have a tumor on the adrenal gland? Sometimes an adenoma or Conn's disease or a pheochromocytoma can be the culprit
