Imho, this should be fitted with 7840U since they shared the same socket compatibility with 6800u where zenbook 13 got refreshed to 7840u. A wasted opportunity by asus. Even competitor also came out with 7040U processors.

my asus zenbook 15 ux533 completely died on me just after 2 years. sent for quotation of repair and it'll cost me $2k. Decided not to. Will never use or recommend asus again sadly

The laptop can run GTA V at very high settings at around 50-60fps. This is great considering its not even a gaming laptop. And no one buys a zenbook to play games. What youre saying is like buying a ford fiesta to compete in F1 racing. The laptop is not “seriously underpowered”. Have you looked at the benchmarks? For the price it’s really good value.

In Romania is already for sale for around $1400 but is the 16GB one. I did some research and there is no 32GB version, such a pity...
