I would like to say props to Jackalope's voice actor because his acting really scared me this time! And also, the writers of Jackalope's dialog here really knocked it out of the park.
What I'm really liking from this is Kotoko's development. Not in the sense that I like what she's doing, but that she's truly living up to the namesake of MILGRAM. The original milgram experiment was, to summarize, about seeing how far "innocent" people would go to hurt someone if ordered to by an authority figure. She's doing just that; hurting people under the reasoning of "they deserve it" and, as Jackalope said, the impression that she's our deputy. She thinks we, the authority figure, are warranting her actions. This makes my little rat brain VERY happy
I find it interesting that, in a way, we’re doing the same thing. All we have is the statement of a little bunny and a few music videos to say that they’re murderers. But it’s accepted as the truth. We technically don’t know any of the hard facts about each of the circumstances and details behind everything. So, if you think about it, you could say that we’re also blindly following what jackloupe says and punishing the prisoners.
It also makes me think of that experiment in a fake jail (stanford prison experiment). Some students were given the role of jailers and some were given the role of prisoners. They were not asked to do anything specific, but after a little while, the jailers started to behave very worryingly. Beating, neglecting, insulting and assaulting the prisoners. Even though no actual crime was committed and even though the roles were given randomly. The experience had to be stopped after 6 days because it was dangerous for the prisoners. That experiment is often studied in parallel to Milgram experience, as they complete each other. (Contrarily to the Milgram experiment, though, the stanford prison experiment results are not considered reliable.)
good take op!! she's taken our innocent vote as support for her plans, and whether she gets voted innocent or guilty next, i'm sure the results from other are going to be a sight to see. love this terrible girlboss
But i hope she will be voted as guilty in the second trial since i don't want anyone to die and not reaching the 3rd trial and i want to see what will happen to her because i'm sure that alter mikoto will get his revenge for softy mikoto, since mikoto is exempted of the rules of milgram then even if he is voted guilty he can still move freely unlike kotoko who will be restrained if voted guilty
@@KuroAn29 same. and now, knowing that he’s basically necessary to keep the others safe? Innocent until trial 3 (because I’m assuming since that’s the last, it will be like a final verdict.)
It's terrifying to think that if the community hadn't forgiven Shidou, Mahiru mightn't have made it to the second trial. That 1.97% voted on innocence saved a character.
Oh jeez- I didn't even realize it was that close. It kind of scares me to think what may happen after the second trial verdicts. After all, I want to get a full rounded idea of their crimes through all three trials.
I doubt they actually would've gotten anyone killed off in round 2 - it's more that they decided to come up with interesting character dynamics with the result, but I definitely think they wanted to threaten that it's a possibility in the third round. I'm sure without Shidou's innocence Mahiru would've been fine, but the reasons why would be different.
Also, if we didn't vote one more person guilty. In Kotoko's second voice drama, she said she'd attack Amane but ran out of time. What if she didn't? I'm 999999% sure Amane would've died.
"Milgram allows for morality, ethics, ... or sexual inclination as the basis for judgement. You have done just that in the first trial, and you have my gratitude" They'll never let us forget what happened with Mikoto huh.
@@marydah7392 I mean, given how overwhelmingly guilty his vote was, I don't think people fangirled enough by the looks of it In the words of a wise youtube commenter (someone called Eluen) from the MeMe comments section: "And if you think it’s disrespectful to the creators to vote for such shallow reasons, just look me in the eyes and tell me that the animators had no idea what they were doing when they made Mikoto undress three times in a four-minute video."
The fact that they’re actually willing to kill off prisoners is a bit scary, I was thinking they’d wait until the last trial to decide whether people should die or not. If anything happens to Shidou they’re screwed and I’ll be upset I really hope everyone is able to last through the second trial
@@dumbmonkey1313 On the other hand, who will restrain Mikoto in case his sleeping, blood-craving persona wakes up? If nobody gets hurt because Kotoko is restrained, then Amane will probably not attack Shidou (unless Shidou continues to tend the wounded, which is a definite trigger), but when it comes to Mikoto who has multiple personality disorder, then wouldn't it be better to have a guard dog be alert in case the ticking time bomb explodes?
Fr like if shidou get guilty on first trial mahiru would be dead already... then again i doubt the same thing gonna happen on 2nd trial since they might expect people to vote shidou innocent again
My favorite part about this is that its core is a test for all of us. True to its name, we are the real subjects being tested on not only logic and morals...but also obedience in the program. Our choice to protect or end lives in this project is what makes it great.
@@apiary_60 idk but i really would love to see it one day ! for some characters i feel like a tie is the best answer possible but the community would have to organise and i don't see that happening
Agh, it's really chilling knowing that because we voted certain prisoners as innocent or guilty, there would have been a chance that one or more would have been seriously injured, or like what would have happened to Mahiru without Shidou. . . dead. I'm really looking forward to how the 2nd trials will go!! But, let's all try to be wary this time!
So after watching the video, first reaction: wtf kotoko? Also, can't blame because it is partially our fault but I forgot how extreme people can become and of course Kotoko goes the extreme route. Second reaction: is domintion and submission going to be a thing in the second trial with Mu and Haruka? Like Mu got rich girl "I'm the queen" vibes and with what Jackalope said, Haurka is a "step on me, use me however you'd like" person apparently. Third reaction: wtf is going on with Amane?
@@frillspring Sorry. I meant like the whole domination and submission thing, not everything else that comes with it. I was running on no sleep and watched this. I should probably go change that.
@@idkonaname1511 oh yeah no problem! with jackalope saying they did the "lovey-dovey" i totally anticipated someone thinking their relationship is sexual (although i'm quite sure jackalope is just being a perv as usual)
So, there are 4 major facts we've learned from this video that I'd like to highlight. 1. Being voted "guilty" restricts a prisoner in some physical way (other than mentally ofc). We've been shown comics where the prisoners could put items that they'd like in the facility on a list to request them, so my guess is that feature is either taken away or more restricted for them. Perhaps they're also forbidden from roaming around and similiar comforts regarding the MILGRAM prison. Mikoto was also mentioned to be beyond restrictions, which MIGHT be related to him being able to fight back against Kotoko, but that's not 100% confirmed. 2. Mahiru would have been *dead* without Shidou's medical attention. It's not even an assumption, that's been stated as a fact. There was even a specific term named for it - "lost". I wonder if we'd still get all 3 MVs if someone was gone? 3. Amane is targeting Shidou. The exact reason is not stated but it's fair to assume it's related to the trauma shown in her MV (she got severely punished for giving proper medical care to a fellow child and later even driven to murder them to prove she's "a good girl"). If Amane gets chosen guilty again while Shidou doesn't, that man's gonna be obliterated. Or alternatively, she might target Mahiru to spite him (or us)...? Later we might see her try to bargain him a guilty verdict, we just have to see. Either way we must be extra careful regarding verdicts for these two... 4. Mikoto has some sort of identity disorder confirmed, meaning him being clueless about his crime was not an act, but in fact having a different set of memories from his "protective" self. (I'm torn about this personally. I believed that he was just being manipulative and disliked the "canon" theory, but maybe his story is just being told backwards. The reason why so many people empathized with Kotoko is because we saw her take down a child predator among other things, believing she might be justified. There HAS to be a reason why Mikoto even split and MILGRAM might be tricking us by showing his violent side first before giving us a "justifiable" reason for it.... Please Mikoto don't be protecting "yourself" only from the fact that you're violent...) 5̶.̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶i̶m̶p̶o̶r̶t̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶f̶a̶c̶t̶:̶ ̶J̶a̶c̶k̶a̶l̶o̶p̶e̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶s̶ ̶g̶i̶r̶l̶s̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶a̶ ̶c̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶a̶t̶t̶i̶t̶u̶d̶e̶.̶ There's more to the video like for example Haruka and Muu's relationship, Mahiru going to die if any other physical affliction happens to her, our accidental(?) alliance with Kotoko but those are pretty straightforward.
Mahiru dying is honestly my biggest factor in voting. I may not fully like her, but it's like there's more to her that Jackalope is hinting at, and I'm not letting her off without getting those secrets out.
@@minty111 Its not a theory if dark Mikoto is literally bypassing the rules of Milgram because of the Two Souls thing going on. He's able to evade [Unforgiven] Consequences and physically attack the Warden. Unless it comes out Mikoto's prison garb is conveniently malfunctioned we can assume the two souls of Mikoto are infact two different characters and Milgram bound the wrong soul.
I'm assuming in the unfortunate case someone dies we might not be able to see the remaining MVs because they mentioned that the project takes their memories and makes it into an MV. So if the person itself isn't there, there won't be any videos left to create from the brain. Unless they do some voodoo shit ofc.
this just makes me wonder what would have happened if shidou was voted guilty. if mahiru had died, what would have happened? it would be interesting to see if they would continue to make new songs for her or not, or if they would just drop her entire character.
TBH, I really don't believe there was any voting outcome where any of the prisoners would've been dead for trial two. The creative staff would've found another way to utilize the innocent prisoners to protect the guilty ones. A big aspect of Milgram is definitely making the viewers feel guilty and wonder how things would've turned out if they voted differently-- but I'm positive there is no 'good route' or 'bad route'. Every choice would've led to some horrible angst later on, one way or another. There's no way to 'win' Milgram, but there's also no way to 'lose'; they need those characters alive in order to torment them, after all.
@@TheUndeadNinja A "good route" would be everyone be voted innocent and see the chaos ensue while they are still in prison (well, good in a sadistic way I suppose). And I say innocent because voting them guilty just restrains them and that's no fun.
@@TheUndeadNinja literally a presentation of ‘why are we here, just to suffer?’ including the prisoners, audience and the producers ;) (like how can they keep making all these masterpieces in a short time!?)
So the metavoting actually worked out somehow. By voting shidou innocent, we saved Mahiru's life. It's so interesting how votes on different prisoners can affect the overall situation. Theoretically, if we didnt vote Kotoko innocent we wouldn't be required to vote Shidou innocent to save someone's life. I think this adds a new dimension in the voting process. We need to think about the bigger picture now. Not just if they're innocent or guilty but how it could affect the overall environment of Milgram.
I love the direction the story has taken so far!!! Haruka and Muu's relationship, the hatred Amane holds for Shidou, how Mahiru would have literally died if Shidou hadn't been voted innocent... you get the idea. Just like Jackalope said, this opens a whole new way of judging. We definitely need to play our votes more wisely this time. I can't wait for the songs!!!!
I love how Shidou is helping the others~ He didn't want to be forgiven but now that he has, it seems like he can contribute good. I want him to live. Can't wait for the next videos!

amane being voted guilty in the recent milgram updates always made me incredibly uncomfortable-when dealing with a cult/ex-cult member, the best way to get them out of that mindset is show them care and empathize, and the world outside isn’t as cruel as they were meant to believe. her being voted guilty and being put in a situation like this is not at all unsimilar to the negative reinforcement (re: child abuse) that she went through in the cult when she where she had already felt guilt and doubt as shown in her pv. even if it wasn’t on the surface, and giving her kindness from a rl psychological point wouldve helped break her out of that mindset by giving her the freedom to interact with others more openly and opening her eyes that there ARE kind people in the world. rather than ‘innocent‘ and ‘guilty’ the true deciding factor has always to ‘to forgive or not to forgive’. do you think a child is irredeemable for clinging to sanction after a life of abuse? do you forgive this child for going against the teachings of her cult, briefly? for doubting everything she was raised to believe for a brief moment? in the end, the cult abused her and forced her to kill someone for interacting with the outside world, to Show her what having faith in the outside world brings you, and milgram is treating her no better than how the cult punished her for believing in medicine: this is proving their point, that harsh punishment was accurate to how this world outside her cult would treat her if she went down this path. the cult had divided their beliefs and outside world, if the outside world revers medicine, and shidou was voted innocent, someone who abused his power as a person with medical authority and committed repeated malpractices and Wants to be guilty while at this point in time amane hasn’t currently done anything and has, by her pv, already felt haunted by her actions… her beliefs were punished by the outside world that she was already groomed to believe wouldn’t accept her, wouldn’t love her while hailing something already “diametrically opposed“ to her lifestyle as she’s been taught. in this case punishment hasn’t done anything but affirm that the cult teachings that the outside world is cruel and unkind. those awful awful heathens! refusing to listen to her and treat her as a person! isolating her and keeping her trapped in her own head, where her only comfort are her memories of how the cult was right and these outside beliefs bring nothing but woe and further engraving her teaching into her brain because the cruelty milgram is showing proves that they were right all along. ultimately this is a really hard case revolving her, and depending on how poorly she was treated or how badly she was triggered during her treatment, im not sure if it can be fixed??? a guilty vote won’t snap her out of her rage, and at this point she might even be too closed off that even kindness from others would just not help one bit after the recent trauma of being Fucked Over and not forgiven.
@@lostbutreal I think this mostly has to do with the way the voting system was presented before vs now-rejecting the ideas of Amane was how others thought to convince her out of it, and it wasn’t known until now what the impact would be. (like, affirming her in the beliefs of her cult seemed to be ultimately bad for her, we wouldn’t know of the further impacts of this.) I kind of get why people thought that was the right idea, and I think voting amane innocent in the first trial would be more “meta voting” tbh You see here that unrepentant prisoners get the harshest votes
i agree, im genuinely sorry for her, but the conditions are two: affirm her beliefs or reject them. there isnt much we can do, we cant kindly vote her guilty and send her to therapy 😭 even worse now because i already saw lots of people saying theyll vote her guilty again bc shes. actually dangerous especially if shidou (and kazui) get voted guilty. like. jackalope himself said she isnt herself anymore

one note about mikoto: in his voice drama, the host was the one who was unable to hit es, since his alter wasn’t affected. this makes me wonder that perhaps the host was the one who committed the crime, and that alter is just trying to protect him? but who knows, i am just feeling little a sweaty about the writing and i hope the staff are being very careful about mikoto. also i voted shidou innocent and i feel very vindicated by these developments
@@IzzyD.Anarchy that’s true now you mention it, but if bokukoto ever tries to go for es and his attack’s blocked that will definitely raise a bunch of questions
@@owoowo9782 and if successful, that could bring up two more theories: He is the only innocent person in Milgram, or there was a third personality that did it. Although it's kind of interesting that Jackalope classifies multiple personalities as "souls".
I wrote a theory like that in the comments of his video a while back. Basically, I think his alter roughed up the guy without killing him, but the guy followed him back to his house and tried to attack the host. So the host killed the guy in self-defense, but didn't realize he killed him.
I feel the same abt the writing… of course at least one alter has to be a killer since that’s the entire plot of milgram, but it seems like the stereotypical heartless serial killer alter and innocent good guy alter.
Remember when people voted Kotoko innocent and got pissed off at people who disagreed? Like, she's (was..) my favorite character! But I figured that people had learned by now that vigilante justice- ESPECIALLY from someone like Kotoko- is NOT someone you want to hold up in a positive light! Sadly, we don't have a super awesome real life Batman. Vigilantism, more often than not, doesn't end up well...
@@tipherethscrub982 I don't necessarily have an idea of a favorite, but yeah, the vigilante justice tends to get out of hand. We saw what happened with Futa's situation. Starts with an ideal of taking down criminals, but then starts enacting disproportionate retribution, and then people get hurt or worse. I mean, his was more on the social side of things when he did it, but his actions had consequences, and he had to face them at the end of Bring It On. Very worried about Kotoko overall. I didn't vote because I don't have a Twitter (and I'm too scared to change that), but I don't know if there's a good option for anyone. Originally my thought was "we have to vote everyone inno for first trial" but... I don't know.
Their animations have gone better ! Im really hoping to see and listen to the prisoners second trials songs! I want to know what sins and crimes they all have committed since the first trial was not that clear!
So from what I can tell, Jackalope wants us to vote Amane guilty in order to stop her from attacking Shidou (voting them guilty adds restraints bith physically and mentally it seems) since he healed the characters and went against her beliefs. He also wants us to vote Mikoto guilty to punish his other personality. Or at least it seems like he’s suggesting we do so. Here’s some notes I took, they’re a bit rushed I’ll fix them when it’s not 5:30 am and im not sleep deprived: I’m so scared to vote Muu as guilty due to Haruka’s dependence on her Mus personality is rubbing off on Haruka, keep that in mind for when his song is out Yuno is prolly the least guilty here, she seems to just have gotten abortions Also scared of voting Kotoko guilty because she will prolly fly off the rails and beat up everyone thinking it’s their fault we chose to do so But we can’t vote her innocent because then she’ll continue to harm the guilty ones We also don’t know if voting her guilty will just cause her to shut down tho since she thought she was providing justice and was punished for it Jackalope seems to want us to vote Amane guilty to restrain her from doing harm to the prisoners, but more especially Shidou Shidou must be kept innocent as he can help people, and we should prolly vote him as guilty during the last trial since that’s the one that truly decides their fate iirc cuz Jack The Ripper theory Remember that he apparently doesn’t wanna be voted innocent tho and that may play a part in his actions Kazui is suspicious, whyd he save Fuuta and not I forgot her name but the one who got beat Jackalope seems to want us to vote Mikoto guilty to also punish his other personality No thoughts on Fuuta, he’s more bark than bite really Hurt girl who’s name I forgot needs to be watched over. Any attacks from anyone could kill her, and we’re still not sure if she deserves to be punished as bad
from what I recall, Kazui said he didn't make it in time to help Mahiru (the one who nearly got beat to death). I think she was the first victim of Kotoko's beating and so it probably didn't set in with everyone that Kotoko was seriously intending to injure or even kill the ones who were not forgiven/guilty. but there's a few theories about Kazui that makes me on the fence about him, so I'm also very sus of him but for different reasons. (anyone can correct me if the info is wrong, it's from what I just read up about the events after the results)
Kotoko will 100% fly off the handle if voted guilty, which, considering how many fan favorites she attacked, is basically guaranteed at this point. I'm a huge Kotoko fan, but I'm also REALLY looking forward to seeing how this will affect her psyche. She's gonna be a hoot in trial three, for sure. :)
@@vvillon oh no I haven’t disregarded him, I just hadn’t slept for 17 hours and was so tired I couldn’t think. He’s probably not gonna attack the characters which is what I meant by bark no bite
So this completely confirms Mikoto's weird case. It just seemed kind of farfetched that the system would even take account of a "different soul" instead of just restricting him regardless. Edit: Then again, Jackalope exists.
it's not really far-fetched in my opinion. alters in a system are in fact different identities. like alters are people in their own rights, the only difference is that they share a body with the host and instead of being born like you'd usually be, they formed as a result of trauma. but like mikoto and his alter(s) are different people. so it's just the same as if his alter had another physical body, the rules wouldn't apply to him. he's a different identity that isn't recognized as Mikoto. the only difference is he is within the same mind as Mikoto. Milgram is clearly elaborated and pretty strange to begin with. If they are capable of erecting a physical barrier that protects Es from attacks it isn't that far-fetched for the prison's system to recognize the host and his alter are different people and thus create a loophole in the rules. that's just my opinion tho
@@neidhardt8093 same, so far it all seems pretty stereotypical to me. As someone who’s done a lot of research on OSDD in particular, I hope they don’t end up portraying his disorder in a stigmatizing way.
I’m so late to this, but I love the little egg in there that Amane is hostile towards Shidou because he’s a real doctor. In Amane’s 1st trial music video, she was severely punished for healing someone with actual medical supplies rather than prayer.
Amane's and Shidou's relationship is very interesting. We saw in her song that her cult or clan is against helping others (she was punished for helping the cat). Now that she's even more immersed in her cult's belief, Shidou helping others triggers her. I wonder if she'll try to brainwash him just as the clan brainwashed her? I don't think she'll be successful because she's a small child and he's a grown man, but I'm definitely curious about the whole "hostility towards Shidou". Edit: Maybe the cult is not against helping others (they want to help the cat by praying) but it's against medical attention specifically. Since Shidou is a doctor, Amane disliked him from the beginning because his proffesion is against her beliefs.
one of Amane's voice line is ''I warned him, but if he still continues doing it, i will have to make a move, if you dont want this you should stop him'' idk really what she will do to him but i do hope they dont have access to knifes since her eyer looks like she could kill
Amane will grow to become a very dangerous prisoner if we leave her unchecked and underestimate her because she's a child, definitely one to keep an eye on
It's not that Amane has become more immersed in her cult's belief after the round, it's that she has always been like that by the time she entered Milgram. The extent of her indoctrination is such that voting her innocent in the first round would have reinforced her cult mentality but voting her guilty does not change it because she refuses to accept that what she's been taught is wrong. Either way her brainwashing is still in tact and people like Shidou would likely still be her targets no matter what, she's just more openly hostile about it in the latter scenario.
It’s interesting to think that the second trial songs may not be just about their murder anymore, but also about the things currently going on. Amane could be singing about Shidou in her song just as much as her murder It also makes Mu’s “because he never says no to me” make a lot more sense with Haruka in mind
It might be a bit late to say this, but this video just brought home that this project is freaking phenomenal. The discussion and debate it sparks, the characters, the music - Deco and the team have truly outdone themselves.

The fact that they’re actually willing to kill off prisoners is a bit scary, I was thinking they’d wait until the last trial to decide whether people should die or not. If anything happens to Shidou they’re screwed and I’ll be upset I really hope everyone is able to last through the second trial
i’ll be so distraught if one of my favorites die
though it’s contradicting because muu is one of my favorites and she’s getting a little cheeky right now so…
If Kotoko is voted guilty then she will be restrained and won’t have as much freedom, therefore won’t kill anyone. Simple.

Please Mikoto don't be protecting "yourself" only from the fact that you're violent...)
5̶.̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶i̶m̶p̶o̶r̶t̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶f̶a̶c̶t̶:̶ ̶J̶a̶c̶k̶a̶l̶o̶p̶e̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶s̶ ̶g̶i̶r̶l̶s̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶a̶ ̶c̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶a̶t̶t̶i̶t̶u̶d̶e̶.̶
There's more to the video like for example Haruka and Muu's relationship, Mahiru going to die if any other physical affliction happens to her, our accidental(?) alliance with Kotoko but those are pretty straightforward.
Mahiru dying is honestly my biggest factor in voting. I may not fully like her, but it's like there's more to her that Jackalope is hinting at, and I'm not letting her off without getting those secrets out.
"Did she do sething really that bad?"
Makes me think this was an accident or something that could be considered something equivalent.
I personally think Jackalope is just parroting Kotoko's theory about Mikoto to throw us all off, honestly.

Nope she didn’t have time if she did she would had definitely attack amane
amane being voted guilty in the recent milgram updates always made me incredibly uncomfortable-when dealing with a cult/ex-cult member, the best way to get them out of that mindset is show them care and empathize, and the world outside isn’t as cruel as they were meant to believe. her being voted guilty and being put in a situation like this is not at all unsimilar to the negative reinforcement (re: child abuse) that she went through in the cult when she where she had already felt guilt and doubt as shown in her pv.
even if it wasn’t on the surface, and giving her kindness from a rl psychological point wouldve helped break her out of that mindset by giving her the freedom to interact with others more openly and opening her eyes that there ARE kind people in the world.
rather than ‘innocent‘ and ‘guilty’ the true deciding factor has always to ‘to forgive or not to forgive’. do you think a child is irredeemable for clinging to sanction after a life of abuse? do you forgive this child for going against the teachings of her cult, briefly? for doubting everything she was raised to believe for a brief moment? in the end, the cult abused her and forced her to kill someone for interacting with the outside world, to Show her what having faith in the outside world brings you, and milgram is treating her no better than how the cult punished her for believing in medicine: this is proving their point, that harsh punishment was accurate to how this world outside her cult would treat her if she went down this path.
the cult had divided their beliefs and outside world, if the outside world revers medicine, and shidou was voted innocent, someone who abused his power as a person with medical authority and committed repeated malpractices and Wants to be guilty while at this point in time amane hasn’t currently done anything and has, by her pv, already felt haunted by her actions… her beliefs were punished by the outside world that she was already groomed to believe wouldn’t accept her, wouldn’t love her while hailing something already “diametrically opposed“ to her lifestyle as she’s been taught.
in this case punishment hasn’t done anything but affirm that the cult teachings that the outside world is cruel and unkind. those awful awful heathens! refusing to listen to her and treat her as a person! isolating her and keeping her trapped in her own head, where her only comfort are her memories of how the cult was right and these outside beliefs bring nothing but woe and further engraving her teaching into her brain because the cruelty milgram is showing proves that they were right all along.
ultimately this is a really hard case revolving her, and depending on how poorly she was treated or how badly she was triggered during her treatment, im not sure if it can be fixed??? a guilty vote won’t snap her out of her rage, and at this point she might even be too closed off that even kindness from others would just not help one bit after the recent trauma of being Fucked Over and not forgiven.
@@lostbutreal I think this mostly has to do with the way the voting system was presented before vs now-rejecting the ideas of Amane was how others thought to convince her out of it, and it wasn’t known until now what the impact would be. (like, affirming her in the beliefs of her cult seemed to be ultimately bad for her, we wouldn’t know of the further impacts of this.) I kind of get why people thought that was the right idea, and I think voting amane innocent in the first trial would be more “meta voting” tbh
You see here that unrepentant prisoners get the harshest votes
i agree, im genuinely sorry for her, but the conditions are two: affirm her beliefs or reject them. there isnt much we can do, we cant kindly vote her guilty and send her to therapy 😭 even worse now because i already saw lots of people saying theyll vote her guilty again bc shes. actually dangerous especially if shidou (and kazui) get voted guilty. like. jackalope himself said she isnt herself anymore
Honestly, Amane being voted guilty because people wanted to 'show her that she was wrong' pissed me off so much like-- Sure, go ahead and essentially tell a brainwashed victim that they're wrong, see how well that goes lmao.
@@shy2infinity so people should have just affirmed her believes? "yes science doesnt exist and killing people that dont believe in your cult is right" like? theres not much we could do lmao. also "not forgiving a character to prove them wrong" we did this for mahiru and futa too
@@bothersomeprince I’m not angry that people did it, I’m angry about their reasons behind it. No matter what people would have done, her beliefs would have been affirmed anyways. Because brainwashing just ain’t that easy to break. It was a lose-lose situation all around.

one note about mikoto: in his voice drama, the host was the one who was unable to hit es, since his alter wasn’t affected. this makes me wonder that perhaps the host was the one who committed the crime, and that alter is just trying to protect him? but who knows, i am just feeling little a sweaty about the writing and i hope the staff are being very careful about mikoto.
also i voted shidou innocent and i feel very vindicated by these developments
Then again, the host didn't attempt it, so we don't know for sure.

Now we're gonna keep innoing Shidou not out of morals, but as the dedicated healer lmao
@@draaxus2969 well you can't keep the team alive without a healer so
Remember when people voted Kotoko innocent and got pissed off at people who disagreed?
I WAS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE, but oh my god. oh my god. the sheer gratitude when he healed them. inno-ing him next since they NEED a medic.
Here’s some notes I took, they’re a bit rushed I’ll fix them when it’s not 5:30 am and im not sleep deprived:
I’m so scared to vote Muu as guilty due to Haruka’s dependence on her
Mus personality is rubbing off on Haruka, keep that in mind for when his song is out
Yuno is prolly the least guilty here, she seems to just have gotten abortions
Also scared of voting Kotoko guilty because she will prolly fly off the rails and beat up everyone thinking it’s their fault we chose to do so
But we can’t vote her innocent because then she’ll continue to harm the guilty ones
We also don’t know if voting her guilty will just cause her to shut down tho since she thought she was providing justice and was punished for it
Jackalope seems to want us to vote Amane guilty to restrain her from doing harm to the prisoners, but more especially Shidou
Shidou must be kept innocent as he can help people, and we should prolly vote him as guilty during the last trial since that’s the one that truly decides their fate iirc cuz Jack The Ripper theory
Remember that he apparently doesn’t wanna be voted innocent tho and that may play a part in his actions
Kazui is suspicious, whyd he save Fuuta and not I forgot her name but the one who got beat
Jackalope seems to want us to vote Mikoto guilty to also punish his other personality
No thoughts on Fuuta, he’s more bark than bite really
Hurt girl who’s name I forgot needs to be watched over. Any attacks from anyone could kill her, and we’re still not sure if she deserves to be punished as bad
i kinda wanna see what happens if amane is innocent ngl, like can a 12 year old really pulverize some 29 year old man
from what I recall, Kazui said he didn't make it in time to help Mahiru (the one who nearly got beat to death).
@@vvillon though, all he’s done has been social, so no physical harm would be dealt. I could see him driving someone to 🕴 though.
@@vvillon oh no I haven’t disregarded him, I just hadn’t slept for 17 hours and was so tired I couldn’t think. He’s one of the characters we don’t really have much stuff on since he’s always so guarded during character interactions, so I’m keeping an eye on him. He’s probably not gonna attack the characters which is what I meant by bark no bite
So this completely confirms Mikoto's weird case. It just seemed kind of farfetched that the system would even take account of a "different soul" instead of just restricting him regardless.
Edit: Then again, Jackalope exists.
i find it interesting tbh, like milgram is that high-tech or something… it’s cool how it can recognize the different souls
Yea that's why I'm kinda 50/50 on it. Maybe it's exactly how it's laid out but something feels fishy about it. Guess we'll see with the second MV.
it's not really far-fetched in my opinion. alters in a system are in fact different identities. like alters are people in their own rights, the only difference is that they share a body with the host and instead of being born like you'd usually be, they formed as a result of trauma. but like mikoto and his alter(s) are different people. so it's just the same as if his alter had another physical body, the rules wouldn't apply to him. he's a different identity that isn't recognized as Mikoto. the only difference is he is within the same mind as Mikoto. Milgram is clearly elaborated and pretty strange to begin with. If they are capable of erecting a physical barrier that protects Es from attacks it isn't that far-fetched for the prison's system to recognize the host and his alter are different people and thus create a loophole in the rules. that's just my opinion tho
@@ikeywikeywikey hi offtopic but Ilove yor username! hellchar spreading all over the world🐈⬛
@@neidhardt8093 same, so far it all seems pretty stereotypical to me.
Idk about brainwashing but from her song preview it seems she wanted to strangle him more
one of Amane's voice line is ''I warned him, but if he still continues doing it, i will have to make a move, if you dont want this you should stop him'' idk really what she will do to him but i do hope they dont have access to knifes since her eyer looks like she could kill
Amane will grow to become a very dangerous prisoner if we leave her unchecked and underestimate her because she's a child, definitely one to keep an eye on
@@nao_san She won't do anything with Es present, but I'm worried what might happen after the second trial. The man's in danger
Either way her brainwashing is still in tact and people like Shidou would likely still be her targets no matter what, she's just more openly hostile about it in the latter scenario.

this video gave me so much chills oh my god...the animation ?? and just how jackalope is in this?? just wow,, IM SO EXCITED FOR TRIAL 2
For English audiences, The translate has a lil mistake. At Mahiru-nee intro, It's "Rejected" not "Affirmed".
I'm so Excited!!
Aha, I thought that seemed off. Thanks for the confirmation!
It’s interesting to think that the second trial songs may not be just about their murder anymore, but also about the things currently going on. Amane could be singing about Shidou in her song just as much as her murder
It also makes Mu’s “because he never says no to me” make a lot more sense with Haruka in mind
It might be a bit late to say this, but this video just brought home that this project is freaking phenomenal. The discussion and debate it sparks, the characters, the music - Deco and the team have truly outdone themselves.
