‘Monkey Man’ Feeds Hundreds of Primates A Day

A 79-YEAR-OLD man has become famous in India after single-handedly feeding hundreds of monkeys every day. Self-proclaimed holy man, Shyam Sadhu has been feeding wild rhesus monkeys in the town of Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh for over 40 years. Shyam started feeding the monkeys in 1975 and his love for animals sees him helping cows, dogs, donkeys and any other animal he finds in need.

this isn't compassion - it's stupidity caused by paganism. if they had the Judeo-Christian truth of the Gospel, they would be industriously raising those monkeys and turning them into livestock feed, and thus getting themselves out of poverty, but instead in their human pride they make feeding monkeys seem "holy" thus leading the rest of the community into stupidity and squalor, all the while being overrun by monkeys eating their food.

I love this guy!
I like that he feeds the monkeys way in the background to make sure they get a little food also. The monkeys that come forward and run up to get the food are high ranking monkeys in the troops. The lower ranking monkeys have to stay far back until all the higher ranking monkeys have eaten. This is what makes what he does so special, he make sure the ones that are in the background or far back from the pack get food also otherwise the higher ranking monkeys would get everything and the lower ranking monkeys would have to try for leftover scraps or get absolutely nothing at all it seems he spreads out the food in a way That’s a higher ranking monkeys get their food but he make sure that he throws food way in the back to the monkeys that are too afraid to come forward because of their low standing in the troop. If a low ranking monkey ran forward to get food they would get beaten up and bitten by the higher ranking monkeys.

You bet they'd do that. It happened to me with the precious wild animals I take care of every day. Somebody came to hurt me and they formed a tight barrier to protect me. They paid me guarding me from harm. God bless them

"Even if the weather is bad, I go out and feed the monkeys " he is a real animal lover.... Animals are fed everyday but when it rains no man is loosing their comfort zone while animals are cold and windy get wet and get sick...we can cover ourselves umbrella, boots and shelter. But they dont.

You are right this man supplies 1 group of monkeys every hour of the day everyday with EVERYTHING they need so they become reliant on him!!!. Where do you get these ideas from. This is the problem with you people who are used to zoos where regular feeding is essential as caged animals cant hunt & feed for themselves.
Here it is a supplement, a treat that they look forward to. It does not mean they become reliant and starve if the man doesn't turn up.

there's 2087 weeks in 40 years that would be over 10,000 days if he did this 5 days a week that would be like 1,043,500 bananas if he gave out 100 a day
