- This episode is the final in our series on quantum mechanics and its presumed relationship to metaphysical ideas, religion, theology, and the paranormal. As in Part 1 and Part 2, our panel welcomes Dr. Rob (“Putty”) Putman, who holds a PhD in theoretical quantum physics, but who is presently pastoring a church in Illinois. In this third and final episode, we focus on the phenomenon of quantum entanglement and ask questions about quantum computing and what metaphysical statements are reasonable to make on the basis of entanglement. Is everything in the universe connected? Is the statement “all is one” scientifically valid?

48:26, Observation is not related to consciousness. Dean Radin has shown that meditators do affect the double slit experiment by visualizing the photon's path through a slit. The experiments show a very high confidence level.
Wouldn't Mr. Putty Putman say that a Wave Function is entangled with it's Complex Conjugate ? If Neurons are made up of Electrons , neutrons and protons , which are them self entangled into Atomic states , then you can have Collection of Neurons with an entangled state that is large enough to carry a memory , Just thought I would add that since you said you didn't know . Entanglement is much deeper than the way it was described here . Your Physical Body is an entangled State of Atoms , and it is due to that quantum entanglement that at the Macro level , a Human cannot express themselves in a Wave state rather than a Matter state . Try running through a brick wall ... Theoretically it may be possible to quantum Tunnel , but I pretty much guarantee your just going to hurt your self ...By becoming "ONE" with the wall . LOL Quantum Entanglement actually prevents some of the claims made by New Age thinking . :)
