OMG are you kidding? The guy looked and sounded like a CLOWN with that goofy assed big ol FAKE sombrero. I will say that NONE of those 3 "cooks" on that show cooked brisket or ribeyes worth a crap especially the bearded goofball that smothered the steak in peppersons. HaJHa.
Absolutely awesome. Thank you for this video, Chef. I have a barbecue spot in PA, which I started in 2020 when coronavirus laid me off. You are an inspiration. We won best barbecue last year 2023 for our are “Lehigh Valley”. It’s hard work, but worth it. Thank you! Your barbecue looks amazing and based off of your accomplishments, its the best.
This place is THE BEST - a BBQ that EVERYTHING is great - not only one specialty. If you are in Seguin you MUST COME here. Ernest knows what he is doing! Ther open THU-SUN.
Love this dude. He knows what the hell he's talking about. He's got a mind for not only the basics and fundamentals, but can be creative and can think outside the box when needed.
Earnest, thanks for sharing your story from humble beginnings to a great success story. You reminded me of some of the hard times in life I faced. I joined the US Army just after my 18th birthday & with the attitude that I can change, I can learn and I won’t quit I have been able to live a good life thanks to my humble beginnings and my career, now that I’m in my senior years.
That's where I'm at....walk in brisket....a walk in ribs....but not all 4 at once.....couldn't step off the ledge from a steady job into the catering/ restaurant business Mad props brother
Bottom line is it is a JOB when you are selling to the public. Nobody gives a sh#t about winning ribbons and trophies at "competitions". The ONLY real winners at those "events" are the PROMOTERS, Ha
True Pit Master , smokers like ol days , tradition through years of practice and family influence, my wish is for your success, mouth watering in N.Y. . Thank you for your desire to be real...
Your awesome bro I wish when I was younger I would have had your ambition instead I just went into construction and now I'm 59 I want to cook for a living bbq is my passion and cooking anything taco's etc I bought a concession trailer trying to get a business going here in Conroe Texas
Buen Dia. Que Video Tan inspirador. Me Gustarias que lo hicieras en Español para poder compartirlo con mis Amigos parrilleros. Saludos desde Guadalajara Mexico. Felicidades👍
Young people take note, you get out of life what you put into it. Is it hard? You bet! Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! It's not easy being successful, but it's not easy not being successful, the choice is yours.
3:20 - That's really good looking brisket but not worth $28/lb. I'd rather buy a couple TWO pound sirloins and cook them on the pit for LESS money than ONE pound of brisket. Simple math..
Apples to oranges......They are wet aged and you loose upto 40% after the trim and cooking, also don't forget your time and wood costs. Plus most likely this is eaten on rare occasions, definitely worth that price!
@@texasowl5356 You are obviously either too lazy or not smart enough to smoke/grill your beef. go ahead and throw away a hundred bucks or so for lunch, I really dont care.
I pass through Seguin weekly . Never stop . I’m stopping now .
I remember when he won chopped grill masters back in 2012. So happy to see him successful!
One of the best dudes I have ever met. He was the chef in our cafeteria. Was so happy to see him succeed in his calling.
Dream Big and WORK HARD. great message. Never forget the WORK HARD aspect.
Mr. Servantes, I love your heart. Keep it up.
Ernest, you were my favorite pit master on BBQ PitMasters! GLAD you're doing it big man. Hopefully I can get to TX to try your restaurant.

Great interview Ernest. If I ever get down to Texas I will drop in.
Bring your wallet because lunch wil cost you $50, or about 3X what any other place in town
@@jaysantos536 I believe it might be worth more to my taste buds and my tongue than run of the mill chain outlets.
I've been to EVERY BBQ place in Texas, but this place is SPECIAL. It should be in the tlk when asked "who's the best?" They are that place.

That’s the difference between cooking for your self and purchasing a product with sunk and variable costs. Don’t be a jackass.

@@niuean3000 You cared enough to make an ignorant statement, right? So go spend your money there on a $50 lunch, I REALLY don't care.
