    Beautiful mid-century design. It makes use of natural cooling and ventilation that is essential for India. The rectangle look might not be in vogue right now but I like it.
    The usage of breeze block is not only a cooling feature but it's also a good security feature and provides privacy. More residential buildings should be using breeze blocks

    US & South Korean embassy are the best in terms of architecture

  • @technofaisal

    This video is testimony that Indian architecture is Muslim architecture. Even the concept of gardens and fountains is a uniquely Islamic innovation brought to India. The US embassy was inspired by the Taj Mahal and Akbar’s tomb in Fatehpur Sikri and Agra fort.

      More like only the Mughal part is glorified, there are equally amazing architectural monuments down in the south as well, but it’s sad they aren’t given as much attention.

    • @technofaisal

      @@shrithannarayan1045 I’m from the south too bro, but those temples are just very ugly with beastly characters drawn on them. Not saying it shouldn’t be, just saying that the world did not find it aesthetically pleasing. When was the last time you heard temples being referenced in any architecture documentary?

    • @shrithannarayan1045
      @shrithannarayan1045 3 года назад +13

      @@technofaisal I just think you’re being blatantly ignorant about the temples, look at the level of precision and architectural marvels they were able to achieve so many years beforehand. Taj Mahal is relatively a new monument compared to other temples here down at south which are amazing as well. Maybe you haven’t seen documentaries referring to them, but I have. Moreover you can’t being saying that it is “ugly and beastly”, in fact I can say that Taj Mahal isn’t even a symbol of love cause it is something built for one of the rulers many wives.

    • @technofaisal
      @technofaisal 3 года назад +1

      @@shrithannarayan1045 ok that’s true that there might be some temples with complicated work on them, am not disputing that. Taj Mahal is one of the wonders of the world :) please correct me, but I don’t believe a South Indian temple is designated on that list. I’ve seen chola temples which are in south, they seem to be more primitive, with more tribal influences than any world class aesthetics. I don’t know why Indian Hindus don’t just accept that Mughal architecture is the next generation of Indian architecture and celebrate it rather than trying to compete , as there is no competition :)

    • @shrithannarayan1045
      @shrithannarayan1045 3 года назад +9

      @@technofaisal it is very concerning to see you bring a religious angle to this, why can’t it just be about two people discussing various architectural monuments? Does this also imply that you only appreciate the Mughal architecture because you’re a Muslim? I most certainly hope not, I really do hope that you actually did bother to care and appreciate about the work done on those monuments and you weren’t praising them just because you were Muslim. I completely agree, there isn’t any competition at all, after all all monuments are part of the country, but I just felt as if Hindu architecture are underrated and the planning of cities especially in Madurai, where they had everything planned from rain water collection being sent to a nearby lake (which is still functioning) to designing the temple in a geometrical way, I felt they were well ahead of their time considering some cities in India even lack them today.

      Mr. Gill what I meant is the architecture looked more like Middle East style and not US. US architecture is more modern/ contemporary. I never have mentioned anything like attack or something. But to answer you, Yes US consulate in Kolkata was attacked by terrorists.
