I love my MKE 94K and wouldn’t trade it for anything. By far my favorite gun and was definitely a bucket list item.
I am issued an H&K Mp5 A3 for patrol duty as Leo in Germany. I also own an Mke t94 and t 94kn known as zenith sp5 and sp5k in the USA. I totally agree with your comparisons. I train a lot with both guns an my patrol Mp5. The ergonomics are the same and you would not know the difference. I can totally recommend the zenith firearms. They are really H&Ks.

I opted for the PTR version, American made and just as close to the original! After a few FTE’s during break-in the guns been flawless.

This is one of those guns I think works best with just irons. Love the diopter rear sight.

Finally found a Z5RS ending my month long relentless search. Apparently, the whole darn country is "out of stock" for this firearm. I somehow found one hiding in Brownell's inventory and ordered it. I got a call from them yesterday to confirm my order. I haven't been this excited about a new firearm purchase in a long time. I can't wait to take delivery so I can get the paper work started to add a can and SBR it. I'll probably go with the Dead Air Wolf 9SD per your video. Thanks for stoking my excitement on this awesome pistol!

Eleven months later, and I'm still waiting for the ATF to send my tax stamps for the suppressor and SBR. I'm frigging baffled as to why this is taking so damn long......

Another excellent review. Prior to 2010, B&T produced an MP5 under licence from H&K. When production stopped, we had to wait for somebody to import MKE MP5. Like you, I am very pleased with the MKE MP5, but I use it less and less as I prefer the B&T APC 9. And as others have noted in the comments, looking forward to the day, when MKE produce an MP7!

OK, You asked me to update you on the problems I had with my Z5RS.
The gun was not ejecting. So I called them. The warranty tech said send it to them and they will fix it and return it to me within 30 days. If they can't fix it they will send me a new gun. They immediately emailed me a prepaid return label from UPS.
So, I sent it on 9/12/17. I got it back today 9/29/17. They technical report said the bolt face was dirty/rough. The cocking tube was binding. They cleaned and polished the bolt face and adjusted the cocking handle/tube. No test fire was conducted. That seemed odd to me but I went with it and conducted my own test fire at my FFL dealers back yard range. Very common up here in Idaho. 50 rounds and no problems so far. If there are any more problems I will let you know. So far my opinion is that Zenith stands behind their products and their warranty staff is on line.
Really glad to hear that they took care of your issues. I don't know the guys personally, but I've met them at events like the NRA show and they always seem like really nice stand up guys. Hopefully you won't have any more issues out of it and you can enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine. Thanks for watching and please spread the word.
One last item. When I fired the gun more extensively the other day after getting it back, I discovered one of the mags was no good. Failures to feed almost every round. I called them about it and within a couple of hours I had a prepaid UPS shipping label in my email. They agreed to replace it with no shipping charges. Other than that, 300 rounds out of the other 2 mags without a hiccup. Not bad in these days of crappy customer service.

This is the gun that brought me to your channel years ago. It has been a great ride since. I have right at 3000 rounds through my SBR'd Z-5RS. I put the A2 on mine. Did you get one of the German A3's? I will be adding more Zeniths down the road.
It's an awesome gun, and yeah it's a German A3, I figured I was already in this deep might as well go the rest of the way. I'm also hoping to add another Zenith in the near future. As always thanks for watching man!
I have a Z5P. I installed a M4 adapter end cap with a SFU, KAK Industries pistol tube & Tailhook brace. It wobbles a bit. I shoot suppressed with 147 grain Speer and American Eagle 9mm. While shooting, my front nylon recoil guide rod ring broke. Took it to a Smith with experience on MP5s. He said that 147 grain 9mm suppressed might have put too much pressure on the nylon ring, and the rollers might need upgraded. So, he's going to do a deep cleaning, upgrade rings with enhanced rings, upgrade rollers ( all from HK Parts) and fix the wobbling M4 adapter end cap. You guys have any experience & advice with this issue ?
I've said this elsewhere, there's a lot of US folks that won't buy Turkish because of politics, but had no problem buying American during the Obama administration. People continue to buy Smith and Wesson products despite them being manufactured in and paying taxes to a state that's 2A hostile. The list goes on.
Buy what you like, from who you're comfortable with, that's your prerogative, but I feel compelled to point out the hypocrisy.
And people continue to buy glock which supplies the nypd who hate the 2nd amendment.

I bought one of these Z-5RS things last week. It looked great. I took it out to the range for a shoot. I had one of the worst experiences of my shooting life. When it ran, it shot very accurate groups. When it ran. I experienced numerous stoppages. Sometimes every other round. With all 3 mags and 3 different kinds of ammo. Rounds would chamber but when I would pull the trigger, click no bang. Then I could not pull back on the charging handle. Weapon was locked up solid. I had to smack on the handle with a 2x4 piece or wood. Or I had to tap out the round with a rod down the muzzle. Looking at these trapped rounds I could see they were slightly bent. The bullet was now seated at an angle in the case.
I can say one positive thing. I called the Zenith warranty folks yesterday. Today I received a shipping label with instructions. The tech told me that they would fix it with a 30 day turn around time or THEY WOULD SEND ME A NEW GUN. The tech said he believes the problem is receiver to barrel alignment and that it would be an easy fix. I'll let you know.
Really hate hearing that, I hope that Zenith makes it right for you. Keep me posted, it's a shame it's a great gun.
So far they have been great. I will definitely let you know.

I compared a zenith and new PTR side to side and theyre on the exact same level for the most part.

I love my PTR. I put a standard foregrip on mine and start the SBR process this week. It’s only drawback is the single pin lower.

That's a good looking gun, and I trust that it shoots as good as you say. But, for the $1,800 price tag, I can get a couple of "good shooting" AR-15's. But, if you're an MP-5 fan, I can see why a fellow would go this route. Excellent review. Thank you for the video.
That's true, but it's not an AR, it's a pistol caliber carbine which makes it comparable to the Sig MPX or Scorpion EVO.

I'm curious as to why the ATF didn't try to stop these due to the dual pin receiver.
Awfully reminiscent to the few push pin conversions the ATF decided we're machine gun conversions in themselves.
I'm assuming the difference in this case is a full auto trigger housing/group won't be a drop in despite being dual pin?
The MP5A2 is my iconic MP5. Though I'd go with the 10mm version or even a .40 regardless of the Turkey politics in a heartbeat, my 9mm sub gun right now is waiting for PSA's Vityaz.
All of us older guys say investment, but in reality we don't really have any desire to sell them off. Our kids will have that burden, while we had lived with the toys we were blessed to have and that made us happy.
I didn't know they imported the 5.56 versions too. I'm really interested in one, now I wish I could drop about 2grand for one.

Alabama Arsenal thank you for linking me that. if I may say something about collecting firearms, I will not personally own a firearm I will not shoot or enjoy shooting, it's like with guitars, the real players and collectors don't look at their guitars, they play and enjoy them. With that said the guitars that are sought-after are the ones that have been played and loved not the spotless ones but this is my opinion and philosophy only thus should be taken with a grain of salt.

I am still trying to buy an SP5K, and I will have the paddle release from HK Parts put on by my gunsmith. Then I'll buy a 3 lug barrel and pop a B&T suppressor on it. Then I will marry it.
Lol! the SP5K is an awesome gun and the paddle release isn't too hard to put on, you may however want to look at what it takes to swap a barrel in one of these. It may be a bigger job than you think. It's always better to buy an MP5 variant with the barrel you want in it. Thanks for watching and please spread the word.

The Turkish MP-5 are the closest thing to the Actual German MP-5 because Turkey licensed the tooling process from Germany.
Pakistan's MP-5 aren't built like Turkish ones. Maybe the United States should call Heckler & Koch and make an American version for Americans; in fact, HK should redesign many of their guns for the US market......

I mean im over here in Germany and working with the Polizei there telling me hk doesn't even make the mp5 anymore the Baden-wutemburg polizei I work with use the mp7 now anyway really only the federal ones use the mp5 still and Berlin lol thats cuz there poor tho.anyway though im seing them starting to phase it out.

I hate it when I see people leaned over there guns with a completely flat back. Stand and lean in about 10 degrees and start shooting but don't try and over power the recoil by leaning in too much you'll fatigue alot faster

I relise im late to this post. But I've got two questions. One is how how do you compare the the PTR mp5 clones. I really like the rail on the upper reciver. And how do rate the ar9 pistols on the market today. And I absolutely love the preformance and accuracy of my 16 inch barrel carbine. And I'm considering a ar9 10.5 inch barrel pistol. And as a retired federal law enforcement officer. And firearms intructor. I trained and instructed on the mp5 selective firearms. And my ar9 carbine has preformed as well as issued mp5 s. And to be honest I'm leaning towards the ar9 pistol. But the ptr mp5 clone has some features I like. Anyway o will have to decide on with platform to buy. And truthfully I'm leaning to the ar9 10.5 inch barrel ar9 pistol. And the availability of magazines for the ar9 platform. Especially those that use glock magazines. It's nice to have options and there are so many now.

Is a sbr tax stamp legally required to put on a stock like that?
Yes, but it is not so much for the stock as it is the length of the barrel. If you want to put a real stock, not a brace, on a firearm with less than a 16 inch barrel then you need to register it with the ATF as a short barreled rifle. Hope this helps. Well for me, still counting, one year and 4 days, no BS.
It's ridiculous that we are forced to pay a $200.00 tax stamp and submit to a mini federal investigation in order to get a damn stock. The fact that is takes 6 to 18 months is a damn crime and should be stopped. The amount of work done adds up to minutes especially once you have been through the process and approved.
@@thegreenman2030 No joke. They act like it's a big deal so it takes near a year, but if I don't pay my taxes I'll have an auditor at my door in 2 weeks.

I still like my MPX a lot, but a little butt hurt that SIG came out with a GEN2 less than 6 months after I bought my GEN1. Also didn't like the way that they announced they would provide GEN2 uppers at a discount for us GEN1 owners... then just didn't. I've been on the phone with their customer service arguing about that probably a dozen times in the past couple years. I've never had a single problem out of my MPX, I just really didn't like how SIG managed the roll out especially on a gun that had been in development for as long as the MPX. SIG does this to me all the time, they come out with an amazing new gun, like a crack head I go buy it as soon as hits the stores, then they change it or recall it. Yet I keep going back to them, I'm thinking seriously about buying that MCX rattler. OK rant over, Thanks for watching and please spread the word.

I have a Z5P. I put a HK M4 adapter end cap on it with a KAK Industries pistol tube and Tailhook Mod1 Brace. It wobbles a bit. I've been shooting 147 grain 9mm suppressed through it. Turns out that I was creating too much pressure for the Nylon / Plasic Bushings on the guide rod, so the front bushing broke. Now I'm having upgrades done on the rollers, bushings, having it deep cleaned and having the wobbling fixed on the end cap. I didn't know that the MP5 was designed for 124 grain, or lighter grain, 9mm ammo. :-(
how are you liking that sb tactical brace on the 5.56 version? I have it and it seems to work great, however there seems to be some different information on the internet about running that 5.56 version with it because it may chew up the rubber h buffer in the stock after a little while. I've shot mine a few times and it seems fine, but have been hesitant to run it more based on that. (I guess they imply that putting shoulder pressure on the brace it what is different for the h buffer durabilty vs just shooting it like a pistol with no shoulder point of contact). Great review. Your tastes are very similar to mine
To be honest I probably don't have enough rounds through it yet to really make a determination, although I can say that so far my buffer looks fine. Are the guns that were imported at the very beginning, the exact same guns that a made today? Or have there been any changes, upgrades, or any other differences?
Should I pick up a Zenith, scorpion, vector, or B&T? I have an infatuation with the mp5, but don’t want to overlook other options.
OK, if money isn't an option, here's my opinion. The B&T, and the Zenith are really the only contenders, but they are the most expensive. With the Zenith youll get everything that is great about the MP5, along with the iconic looks and the nostalgia of the MP5. Most people will just refer to it as an MP5 and it will basically be like you own an MP5. The APC is maybe just a slightly better gun, and that kills me to say because I'm an MP5 nut, but honestly it is. It was designed decades after the MP5 and has some improvements over that time. However almost no one knows what it is, not that it matters, but its true. For me I'd get the Zenith because as far as function and usability it's extremely close to the APC9, and for all intents and purposes, it is an MP5. But if you want strait up the best of the bunch I'd get the APC9. Hope that helps, thanks for watching and please spread the word.

Alabama Arsenal as in the AK Manufacturer? I got so screwed today, had a AK in my shopping cart, called to AKs a question about it because it was a great price and they raised the price over $300 because they had it mislabeled... sucks. Now I’m thinking about building an AR instead unless you think everyone should have an AK. I’ve never really wanted one but now I’m thinking I do...
The Golf Life no it’s just a local guy here that does cerakote and engraving. Do I think you need an AK? Well I don’t know the extent of your collection. I do think that an AK is an important rifle to own if you’re a collector. They’re extremely reliable and one of the most iconic guns of all time, if not the most iconic. That being said I wouldn’t put an MP5 or a Honey Badger on hold to get one. In my opinion.
I may get one of these or a PTR-K3P next week. Still don't like the price point on the Zeniths

Curious if there is a good reliable option that is affordable between these types and some of the cheaper models, been looking hard at the ruger pcc but maybe i could move up closer to something like this.... also im in NJ so maybe im stuck with the Ruger
