But there a lot of games out now where you don't have to buy the season pass to have the full game like Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank, Dying Light, DOOM, and while its not complete Overwatch deserves to on here because all the DLCs are free
Memories come rushing back! Got this one during its release and man did I almost flunk my majors in college because I'd rather stay home and play this game. Can't wait to get my hands on Second Son.

Infamous one was hands down the best game in the series and yes I have played all three. It did have its problems but the story was possibly the best in the series and it DEFINITELY had the most content. It had far more missions than 2 and second son even though to be honest it did have some pointless missions like the rest of the games in the series.
I honestly thought that Infamous 2 was the best one that one had the best story not to mention the characters were a lot more believable and emotional and there was more of a difference between being good and bad
Kaeden Ngai-Natsuhara I also had some trouble understanding at times, although I think that the voice isn't the games fault, just the software they had at the time of releasing it.
There was this guy on metacritic that gave this game a zero because (WARNING, STUPIDITY OVERLOAD MAY OCOUR) cole's pants SQUEAKED. I'm not bullshitting you! Go look it up for yourself!
People give games on metacritic zeros literally every minute for stupid reasons just to bring down the game's overall rating. Nothing remotely significant there.
This was my first ever PS3 game and I still love it. I really liked infamous 2 as well and gameplay wise it is better than this one but inFamous' plot and style are the best out of the two (that ending! ). All in all this is my favorite new series out of this console generation, together with The Last of Us, of course.
infamous one was the best in the series. Infamous second son was the worst; shorter story, lame side missions. Not free dlc. nothing to do after done. no dead drops and you can only listen to it once (the recordings) .
jfpbman Well it depends what kind of games you like. If you like free world games where you can do your own stuff with people not forcing you to do something at the moment they ask, then this is the game for you.
This is one of those games which I picked up while not really knowing what to expect (since I mostly play racing games). And I have to say that this game is just pure fun. You can blow up stuff by using electricity.. how could you not enjoy that! Certainly a 9/10 game. And I still have to play inFamous 2. :D
I'm on my second playthrough now. My only problem with the game is that the side missions are too spammed and there's too many of them. They should have stuck with the 15 good or 15 evil, and then expanded on them to make them interesting. The story is fun and the main protagonist is pretty cool. Forgettable. But cool.
Gettin a ps3 now that they're gonna be super cheap. So far I'm getting TLOU, Uncharted 1,2,3,, Infamous 1,2, MGS4, mgs had collection, resistance 3, journey, heavy rain, and mlb the show. I missing any exclusives must plays?
I liked both voice actors and while I liked Coles original voice actor his voice actor in the second game had more character in which they way he sounded
2:28 "Amon Tobin...no idea who that is." Oh yeah, you mean the guy who did all the soundtracks for the Splinter Cell games and for The Italian Job? This is why I don't watch IGN reviews -.-
Been playing xbox/PC for a long time and picked up a 250 gb PS3 with Uncharted 1/2 and infamous 1/2/blood festival over black friday all for $200. Went and bought uncharted 3 beat all Uncharted games and absolutely LOVED them!!!! Started playing infamous yesterday. Got to the second area and really... I'm not liking it as much as i had hoped. Hopefully infamous 2 will be better
Ive Just started a Playstation Plus subscription cause of all the great and free games. Started downloading this one right away, thought it would take about 3hrs. 3.5hrs and 28% later and the frustration starts creeping on me. The 15GB game will probably take the duration of my 3 month PS+ subscription...great.
It's cool when the reapers and dustmen fight and battle it out. Dustmen usually win cause they're stroger but it's still cool. Also like how the pedestrians through rocks at the enemies when I'm fighting the enemies. And I also like how the cops shoot at the enemies.
what was awesome is that i didn't even start the first one until the 2nd one was down in price a bit. so i got the 2nd one for 39.99 and then i started playing the first so i could go straight into the 2nd one.
I made my hard playthrough without collecting Blast Shards and clearing NO SIDE MISSIONS. It's quite doable, and it's in fact pretty easy. The only instance in which your complaint makes sense is if you somehow tried to go thorugh the powered down areas by the streets or something.
It's quite sad really. I enjoyed exploring New Maris in inFamous 2 and Seattle in inFamous: Second Son, but I just really miss Empire City. It's just something about exploring a world that really tugs you at your heart strings and makes you feel really sorry for the people of Empire City. And the colours are very vibrant at day time. I really love jumping off the highest point of the game but in inFamous 2 they aren't as high as it is in the first game. Maybe in the next inFamous they will make another post-apocalyptic city to explore.
I like Empire way more than New Marais and Seattle because it actually has a bunch of unique parts, like a big fountain/pool; a big, tilted, tallest structure; a jail; a torn up, "gothic" mansion; a large, rotating, elevated globe; a crater; different styles of houses depending on the island. It's also bigger than them. Empire has a lot more "personality", as one would say, because they actually took time with it. Seattle is definitely the worst, tons of bland, copied and pasted things. New Marais is fine, but I prefer a city and 1 half of the second island is really bland.
Dude , if you like superpowere stuff , i guarantee you that the infamous series is one of the very best , if not the best one out there . The gameplay is amazing and the story are amazing , especially in the first game
Go play the demo and make your impressions off of that if you're worried about bias. This game is open world but it doesn't really force you to do any exploration or side-missions, you can play it as linear as you want and get the same kind of awesome experience, but I would still recommend you give its open world elements a shot, it will make the game longer and add a lot of replay value, and trust me it is really well done as an open world game, it's GTA level. I highly recommend it.
infamous and prototype are defiantly at least spiritual brothers they came out around the same time both action both third person but in my opinion infamous wins hands down LOVE THIS GAME!!!
I choose the PS3 as well, it runs over 2 times faster than the Xbox, has less of a tencency to die out, and has a self-cooling system as well as cooler games. The only games I wanted on the 360 was the Gears of War series and something else I forgot. Man, i really wanted that Gears of War 2
I had to make that choice a few years ago and I chose ps3. It was a damn good choice. I then, earned enough money to buy and Xbox 360 over a year later. It was a damn good choice. They're both great and they both have lots to offer, and while this might seem like a dis, I spend more time on xbox than ps3.
I'm sure there are plenty of people out there (LIKE ME) who love the crap out of both Uncharted and Infamous. They are two different series that offer two different styles of gameplay: one is a cinematic and wonderfully fine-tuned action story, while the other is a very well-designed open-world action RPG-iishhh game. They both rock. It's that simple.
Uncharted 1-3, God of War III, Infamous 1 & 2, Ratchet & Clank A Crack in Time & Tools of Destruction, Metal Gear Solid IV, Killzone 2 & 3, Little Big Planet 1 & 2, Twisted Metal, Devil May Cry, Jak & Daxter Collection, Metal Gear Rising, Sly Cooper 4 etc.
no, they're a hell of alot better. the xbox stick/pad scheme is ripped off of the gamecube's top left is the move analog stick, lower right is the directional stick.
@yungswagg347 Well back in the Atari or NES days every game was exclusive to 1 platform. But now games are mainly multiplatform. There need to be exclusives to sell a game console. Most exclusives cant be done on different consoles, like MGS4 was to big to be on 360. Thats why there are exclusives.
his italian voice is much more gravely, it sounds like he has lungs cancer, but other than that, the series is great and inspirational, expecially the second one
I still play games on my NES, SNES and Mega Drive. They may be old but still great. Infamous may be old but it's still a PS3 game, so it couldn't have aged that much ;)
Not to start more flame wars, but when it was my last birthday, i had to make a choice about what system i wanted and i came to the conclusion that ps3 not only had the better variety of games, it was actually affordable. Sure the quality of internet of Xbox is somewhat better, but Ps3 is just so much more bang for your buck
I played the second inFamous first because I liked Cole's voice actor more. The voice actor for both games are both really good. I just hope Sucker Punch will get some consistency going into the 3rd inFamous. Still gonna get this game.
I don't see why you guys don't see inFamous 2 better than 1 though. If you ask me inFamous 2 had so many gameplay improvements, the new powers were solid and the story was just as simple as the first with some small depth moments. And the city wasn't as grayish and the sunny feel made the city alive.
thats actually pretty logical explanation, i think i am gonna accept that explanation when i play the game and not think that they changed the voice actor
did you actually take points off for having a gravely voice?
OutaExtinction Then he probably liked the second one better.....I was bummed out by the change in voice but whatever
