It’s a new part of the paperwork this year because it’s been a problem for a few of my neighbors. I recommend having something similar on file if you're a renter because in an emergency the last thing you want to be worried over is whether a friend/family member can get in to pack you a bag, clean out your fridge, take the trash out, or feed your goldfish!
Geoff needs a monthly or bi-monthly sports podcast so it isnt a huge commitment but he can talk as much about sports as he wants to those of us who want to listen

My brother recently told me he'll arrange that I'll get his passwords when he dies. I responded that I wouldn't want to share my passwords. I didn't understand it at all. I had thought maybe he thought his life had some legacy value, but I'm not big on legacy. Now Geoff brings it up. Legacy aside, what information of value is there in your digital self? I get receiving mail and that kind of thing in the real world, some of that stuff needs to be dealt with, but is there anything in the digital world that really is important? I live on the internet most of my life, but if I got cut off from the internet for a year (and my job wasn't as a software developer where computer access is kinda important) I think there wouldn't be any of my own online information I'd really need access to. Yet from what Geoff is saying, it sounds like this family is having a hard time with not having that access...
codingkriggs There's a big difference between being a single guy and someone with a wife and kids. Taxes, bank info, family pictures, financial portfolios, etc, are things your family needs. Basically, so you have dependents other than yourself when you file taxes? If not, Geoff wasn't really talking to you.
