I am following a couple of reaction challenge that cover one piece since the life action. I must say you guys are very attentive and minful and actually habe a lot of knowledge in the One Piece world already. more than any other reactors I have seen.
When Zoro starts his speeches on his attacks they are often related to Buddism. This speech about the 108 Pound Phoenix attack is a play on the Buddhist belief that there are 108 feelings and that from number 36 to 108 they are the feelings of the Past, Present, or Future. So they're translating this into the Pound Phoenix attacks. One swords style = 36 Two Sword Style = (36 x 2) = 72 Three Sword style = (36 x 3) = 108 In the manga there is also some extra wordplay going on in classic Oda fashion. The attacks can be both translated as "Pound Cannon" or "Kleshas Phoenix" (Kleshas = "Worldly desires"). Giving a small reference to the 36 pound cannons on French ships of the "Age of Sail" which were the biggest of the time. Has anybody mentioned that Oda is a history buff yet? ;) Note how Ohm tells Zoro to pray to god, and Zoro starts talking about his buddism inspired attacks. While being a clear atheist.. xD

To be fair, Eneru is stronger than most villains in the whole One Piece manga even later on, there's just a handful of them even recently that could go head-to-head with him, his powers are just way too powerful, not only the fruit, but the application to his mantra and his basic combat abilities and IQ are way beyond standard
id say to make the mid card game harder, try to guess the 2nd character/song when the first one comes. that way you two wont rely on the song because its a lot easier to guess when you only guess the 1st one after hearing the theme. sometimes the 2nd theme corresponds to the character that may have more focus or something to do in that half

The disrespect to Robin is crazy to me. She has already done so much more then some of these other straw hats. I don't care what anyone says, but there's definitely favoritism (which, to a point, i understand) but Robin has been done dirty since she has been introduced. There's no clear criteria for the rankings and that's also unfair. I do understand that Chopper can be cute but come on now. Easily Robin should be above Sanji, Usopp and Mami. But again there's no clear criteria. (Robin's knowledge and fight scene goes above the ones I mentioned)
Close to the point need to start posting to skip as much of long ring long land arc as possible (but making sure to watch again from episode 226) I know people who stopped watching at that point cos it was so bad
First of all people said to skip skypeia because it didn't seem to contribute to the overarching plot at the time, but now we know it does. It may not be just filler. But more importantly, filler is fun when the characters are fun, esp in one piece the casual crew dynamics are one of the best things. Most of the jokes in there feel like exactly the stuff they would enjoy. We get some zoro sanji banter, chopper being a cute thing to be saved, more robin, afro luffy, and even if they hate foxy it's a funny hate.
