The stars on the astronaut definitely look more realistic with the varying sizes. Being able to point it any direction is also really nice. Other projectors should really add that feature.
I liked the stars on the Astronaut too. It would be better if the stars were blue and you could turn the nebula off. If the stars from the astronaut combined with the nebula from the galaxy one it’d be perfect.
I forgot about this channel.. never again. I've always been obsessed with lights and basically everything this channel covers, one of your first video finally inspired me to get a neon sign, something I've wanted for ages. Now I have 3!
While the nebula is disappointing, the star pattern and spread is the best I have seen from your videos I have watched. And the price is great. Thanks for reviewing it!

Yes!!! I wish it had like a zooming option to make the nebula bigger on the astronaut… it would’ve been amazing, I would not care If it’s not bright enough as the other one.
I think they could have done a much better job in Galaxy projector 2.0 as far as the star pattern is concerned. They could for example show the core of the milky way instead of showing a pattern of stars that looks like the kaleidoscope effect. The repetition of the pattern of stars is quite noticeable. Not worth the price at all. Nice review.
Yes - if you look at the axis of rotation, the 'stars' form a series of concentric circles with a few other stars scattered about. I prefer the star distribution of the Astronaut projector, with a few bright stars randomly scattered among the less bright ones, even if the overall effect is not so good. I won't be buying either.
I have an astronaut star projector and i really like it, although there are a few little things I wish I could change. I got hit with an IG ad for a company called Pleshy, sayings it's "the original" and I'd be really curious if it actually is the original or any better, or if it's exactly the same. It's too hard to tell these days what companies are legit and what aren't.

Others do, but those don't seem to illuminate the room as much, from the videos. I'm getting one, and while I think I'll love to look at the realistic photos going to bed, this one seems to create more of an atmosphere.
It's a shame, we need to combine both. As others pointed out, the stars of the astronaut look much better, they are rather stochastically scattered and variable in size. Also they are really pretty intense dots, no matter if they are on the ceiling or the wall. The galaxy projector has much better nebulas but the stars are pretty terrible actually. The elephant in the room is green stars. Integrating a white LED with the RGB seems a no brainer. Surprised you don't notice that, given video production quality.
They are laser stars...not LED stars. There is no such thing as a native white laser. Green lasers are the brightest source power input and why we see them on most star projectors by default. To produce a white laser is much more advanced and would involve combining a red, green and blue laser of different wavelengths into a singular beam first. This would complicate the product design from many different aspects including, power, heat, safety, cost, and size just to name a few, which is why we only see what appears to be "white" colored lasers on advanced projection systems and in professional applications, (stage and concert visuals for example).

Ok see how the astronauts stars are not spinning but the nebula is ? And on the galaxy projector 2.0 the stars spin with the nebula? I like the stars being stationary while the nebula spins. Even though the galaxy nebula is bigger and brighter. I wish we could take the best of both
This thing sucks ! All the stars are in a linear format, and they're way way too bright. Real stars are dim, and they are unevenly placed in a random order...just like in the universe
Eeeew, did anyone see the little jump the nebula did at like 3:57 or so? Is that an editing issue or does the light really jump like that? That'd be a dealbreaker for me. Haha he addressed it a couple minutes later; I really need to learn to wait to comment. But yeah that jumpiness would absolutely ruin it for me personally. Not worth it no matter how cute the little astronaut is.
Yea I did find there was a little jump. however the good news is multiple people in the comments report that theirs does not do this, so I think I just had a bad copy. It shouldn't do this if you buy.
I first saw this at the Marriott Courtyard hotel in Titusville, Florida, where I could see NASA directly from my bed. Every room there has one of these astronaut star projectors and the majority of people had them going in their rooms at night. Back around December, Amazon was selling these for as low as $7 each, and I picked up a bundle of them and gave them as Christmas gifts.
On the Astronaut, the stars spread way…… better, more realistically, the other one it’s brighter and what not but they’re not realistic looking and they’re way too together.
The stars on the astronaut definitely look more realistic with the varying sizes. Being able to point it any direction is also really nice. Other projectors should really add that feature.

So what's the hack ?
Would have liked a comparison compared to the bliss lights too cause it's similar in price.
I Have A ? After Turning Off The Nebula Light How Do You Turn It Back On Is My ? Please Let Know Thank You
Ok see how the astronauts stars are not spinning but the nebula is ? And on the galaxy projector 2.0 the stars spin with the nebula? I like the stars being stationary while the nebula spins. Even though the galaxy nebula is bigger and brighter. I wish we could take the best of both
You can! Just buy both lol
I have the same one but I’m pink I am using it right now and I LOVE it so much I recommend
This thing sucks ! All the stars are in a linear format, and they're way way too bright. Real stars are dim, and they are unevenly placed in a random order...just like in the universe
Are the stars only green on the astronaut?
Yes unfortunately.. just got mine today and I am really happy with it so far tho
Yo just bought one of these for £12.99 ! It’s great
Galaxy projector looks more cheap.. stars doesnt look stars and has fixed patterns
The astronaut had a black hole pulling on it that's why it shifted lol
The nebula has stopped spinning, it still lights up but it's not spinning. Do you know how I can fix this?
Unrelated, but what camera/webcam did you use for this video? It’s so clear and picks up LEDs gorgeously (thanks for the review btw!)
Your most welcome, working with this here as my main camera: amzn.to/3tfv1I7
Does the head make a noise when the nebulosa start spining ?
It shouldn't.
Why on the earth stars are green? 🤦♂ White/blue would be perfect. And grid looking not good. It should be less intense, and in different sizes.
None of these devices use real photos as ads. They get stock photos and slap some baloney magical light show filter in front or behind. Weird
Since my hobby is to write Progressive Sci-fi Metal I need this when writing and playing 😂😂😂
Is the galaxy lamp 2.0 worth the extra 70 euro's? It's 100 eu. And the astronaut 30
Oh, it's not quality. Used like 20 times and I have it in pieces. Aurora lens is blown.
love from India 🇮🇳
I like the astronaut look and stars and the galaxy rgb strength.
if the two would be combinet it would be perfect
My astronaut buddy doesn't skip while rotating and it makes absolutely no noise or sound.
I think yours is defective
my model is a little different, but very similar, though. it doesn´t have the timer spot and keeps turning off after like 15 minutes...anyone else?
Mine only lit up 2 colors. Blue and green.. don’t know how to fix it
Do they have bluetooth speaker as well??
Does anybody know how to turn on the stars projection permanently? Mine keeps fading in and out.
Buy A Telescope…Naked Eye You Can See Andromeda..Walk Out and Look Up…Take In Real Star Gazing
Thanks for the comparison between ASTRONAUT Projector VS. GALAXY Projector 2.0...
I like the astronaut ones more, not as powerful but better projections
THe other one has too many stars and it looks more "Fake" so to say
How do I turn off the green dots that show
Idk why people like the Galaxy Projector 2.0. The projection looks like a grid. Doesn’t look natural at all.
My astronaut projector nebula motion is pretty fluid.
Neither of them are true star fields.
We are on our third one in 3 years. Last one only lasted two weeks. Each of them were different companies.
What is the best galaxy projector on the market at the moment
Probably the Blisslights Evolve, but depends what your after.
Glad I watched this first
