Yuh because that’s his dad. Homer does take it to the extreme (like his damn choking) but in Asian households like mine, it’s normal to give small slaps on the hand. The difference is that in countries like America, teachers hitting students on purpose is highly inappropriate and we don’t expect strangers, much less teachers to be hitting our kids.
@@poutypineapples5556 that was kind of my point. bart already receives corporal punishment so obviously him getting hit by a teacher isn’t going to change his behaviour since he already gets it at home

You clearly don't know how to educate a child bruh Bart is chocked by Homer literally since he was a baby, how that make any difference? The reason Bart is like this is because of Lisa and Homer mostly
One of my favorite cartoon characterss in this series happens to be Lisa, Martin Prince, and Edna Krabappel, and Ms. Hoover. Over time Bart has become less annoying to me than in previous seasons and less poorly drawn too but that's understandable with a lot of none animated series not filmed in Japan, but that still doesn't mean he's one of my favorites. However Patty, and Selma I cannot stand in many seasons no matter how well drawned they've gotten. They're one of the least attractive characters in this series next to Moe. Kind of amusing how Edna slapped him once and was basically like “I’m losing my job anyway, might as well get my licks in” before slapping him again.
