Performance by Loretta Lynn. Loretta, the coal miner's daughter, is famously from "Butcher Holler", a section of Van Lear, a mining community near Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky.

What a voice.
Introduced by the great Tex Ritter, father of John Ritter. She looks better than Tex even wearing his hat.

I love it! 5+++++++++++++ Just had to twitter!
I am searching for a song from Loretta, I find it nowhere. "If I ain`t got it, you don`t need it." I don`t think it was a very big hit, but do anyone have it? Would be nice to hear it.
That was on her 1982 I Lie LP
Who was the gentleman playing the pedal steel??
Hal Rugg who also played on most of Loretta's recording sessions.
anyone know the year?
Well her first album came out in 1966. This song wasn't on it. Tex said she'd been on the scene 5 or 6 years. And judging by his apparent age and how she's dressed, I'd put this around '70 or '71.
You're welcome 😊
@Villeneuve27 next to patsey
Dudes patronizing Loretta and they cannot hold a candle to her
