@@SuperSteve180 Yes a safety razor is much better than a cartridge razor. A straight razor is the best if you’ve mastered the technique, and put time into maintaining the blade.

Real Men Real Style All this is BS. Wash your face with a moisturizing soap and rinse. Apply 100 percent Aloe Vera Gel on your face and neck. Shave it. That's it all done. Since when did shaving become so complicated. What BS on RUclips.
Dear Antonio! Shaving tip: you need to work the lather more, until it gets as thick as whipped cream. This isolates better than the thin layer you applied, and thus keeps the skin and hairs warmer, for a better shave. To get a better lather with less work, aquire a shaving cup, bowl or scuttle, with an uneven surface, like ripples or dimples. Also, you should use more time on applying the lather, as the brushing too helps lifting the hair into the whipped cream lather. Always great to see a video on shaving! Sincerely Jeppe Schultz
Any number of my Vintage Gillettes, loaded with a $15.00 per hundred priced double edge blade, can meet or exceed the shave of your razor, and at a fraction of the cost.
Hi Antonio! Over the last 11 months I have gotten into "traditional wet shaving, " i.e. safety and straight razor shaving. Some people in the "community" use the One Blade while others have their own preferences. The one thing you could add to these steps is "building a good lather." To help get the shaving cream or soap under and around the hairs (also lifting them some), face lathering is a great technique. By taking those few minutes, you add better protection in both cushion and slickness. A good reference on RUclips is "Nick Shaves".
JustCallMeJohn, Executive shaving Co. the BraveHart 👌 great quality. Only like 50 bucks, y’all probably live in the United States, cost me like 20 dollars more. But it’s a life long safety razor
antonio, just wanted to say you are awesome. Ive noticed that since I started watching your videos I became a lot more confident, and a lot more grown up (im 17). If only every person my age started watching your videos, our generation wouldn't be filled with spoiled brats that think the world of themselves, and we would have a generation of well educated gentlemen. I can't apply all the tips you give, since i am just financially not able to, but you helped me be more aware of a lot of things, for that I thank you, and keep up the great work!
Floris Govers I am late to reply but I really hope you continued to search for useful knowledge and things for real life use. You seem like a really passionate kid who is curious in a good way. Take care!
I made the investment over a year ago (at the suggestion of my barber and your videos) to buy a straight razor, shaving brush, and cream. That's how I've shaved ever since and I love it!
I just wanted to say"thank you " I joined The Dollar Shave Club based on your thoughts. I never has a better, smoother, or faster shave than from the razor I received from the club. I'm now hooked to them. Well thanks again.
Mark is a great shaving tutor and I believe he already has lathering tutorials on his channel. I learned a lot from him. It is great that you are promoting the wet shaving in your shaving advices. That's why you are the only styling channel I follow :)
Nick shaves channel is also great and I never misses his videos. Nick gives you trusted product reviews and I always refer to his opinions when buying new stuff. mantic59 (Mark) is a great tutor for wet shaving, where you can learn so many techniques and so on. So they are both great but in different subjects.
It runs counter to most advice, but in the past I've been encouraged to shave with cold water rather than warm. Why? Apparently warm water does in fact open the pores, but in doing so you are far more likely to get ingrown hairs from your shave than if you had cold water/tighter pores. I had to learn my shaving habits through trial and error and my personal experiences seem to support this: I was dealing with ingrown hair consistently while hot shaving until this suggestion was made by a friend. Now I shave with cool water and the frequency of ingrown hair is markably reduced. Anyone else have a similar experience/heard this?
The only problem I had with ingrown hairs was when using a poor DE razor (from the 60's) and poor blades with poor technique. Upgrading tools and gaining experience helped a lot. But this may not be the case for you, so I say do what works. Maybe check out Nick Shaves on RUclips.
Hey I know you posted this two years ago. Sorry to bother you hahah but yes I'll try cold water shaving. Is it still what you do two years after this comment or do you shave differently now?
Ingrown hairs are the result of multi blade razors that cut wiskers off below the skin and get trapped below the skin and don't grow out properly a good DE with good technique should solve most of the issues however, if you learn to use a straight razor I rarely ever get any ingrown hairs for the last 9 years. Takes some practice but the temp of the water has nothing to do with it except softning your beard.
Shaving with a DE razor was one of the first steps I took towards improving how I present myself. Now I'm moving on to the clothing of a gentleman, hoping to set myself apart from the rest of the college students. You have been a great influence for me. Making your own lather as you do is a wonderful way to start your mornings, and I especially like the new idea you have given me to brush my teeth after applying the lather.
I've had problems selecting a good razor. I've tried the disposables, the expensive ones and lately the strait razor. This OneBlade razor looks like the best combination of both worlds, can't wait to try it.
Just go for a DE razor, merkur or muhle with feather blades or astra. Also for shaving cream proraso/pacific shaving both have natural ingredients. Synthetic brushes are softer and are great too, no need for badger hair and animal abuse. For lather need a bowl which he didn't use in this video.
I pretty much avoid shaving against the grain, except for the moustache area. No matter how well I try to clean it up by going with the grain, there's some stubble noticeable all the time. I find the Gillette Fusion's precision blade handy in that situation. It's easy on the skin and cleans up pretty well.
If you want to shave properly and go against the grain you need a safety razor. You can also go across the grain with a safety razor as well. The problem with cartridge disposable razors is that the gaps between the blades are too wide and that then leads to clogging and scrapping against the skin.
To be honest, I had no clue what I was doing before. There was not a single tip I already used, probably because I found them too time consuming. I went to the bathroom straight away after watching your video to shave. I actually enjoyed it quite a lot, without the part when I cut myself, though. I cried only a little when applying aftershave. Maybe I need to step up my shaving-game indeed.
if your full beard has not grown yet, don't shave your upper lip, if its the typical teenage mid-pubirty mustache, you gotta keep it, if you got the full beard at 16 go for it, the reason is that shaving it at a young age makes the mustache thick so whenever you shave it afterwards, it's gonna live a little gray area
I use Nivea Men moisturizing gel to soften my stubble then I use Nivea Men shaving gel to shave it off plus finally use Nivea Men Post Balm cream to replenish my skin after it
I think if you're using even a cartridge razor, taking the step from pre-bottled shaving cream to using a shaving brush and lathering up your own is gonna make the biggest difference. I use a shaving soap that comes in a plastic bowl, you add a bit of water, lather it up using the brush, and then apply to the face with the brush.
The problem I've always had with shaving is the fact that the shaving cream I use (Barbasol) has never had any slickness whatsoever. Now while it's thick and provides protection, because it's not slippery enough, the blade tends to drag across my skin rather than glide more. I've now just started putting lotion on my face after a shower and then put the cream on and got a really nice, smooth irritation free shave. This is the way to go!
Watching this to get the cleanest shave for military service next year I always have little subbles left on me chin so I hope this method does the trick
HI Antonio Great video I am one who has been shaving since I was 15 and do use an electric razor and has the same effect as a hand held Razor because the razor is a self sharpening and does the same thing as a hand held I spent 60 Dollars for the Razor and have had it for a number of years my secret is to always use Hot water to clean and prep the razor after each shave
My shaving tips: First you need a silvertip quality badger brush and a high quality safety razor. Personally I skip pre shave oil and you don´t need it if you build a good lather. After using a hot towel I apply shaving cream from Truefitt & Hill (they are in my opinion one of the best and most traditional brands out there) which takes about a minut to build a proper lather. And Antonio I thought your lather looked a bit dry, try to add some more water, but not to much. After building a proper lather which almost should look like whipped cream for maximal comfort, I start shaving using a safety razor loaded with a Feather blad (they are the sharpest blades out there from Japan). I do 3 passes, starting with with the grain, then going across the grain and last pass against the grain. This will give you a baby smooth shave every singel time. Don´t forget to use a good aftershave balm that matches the scent of the saving cream. I then use different shaving cream scents depending on the season. A killer combo is to use Truefitt & Hill 1805 shaving cream, then the 1805 aftershave balm followed up by the 1805 cologne. Thank you for these videos Antonio.
OK Antonio - I am officially enlightened regarding shaving PROPERLY. I discovered I need to take more time and invest in better products. Thank you Sir!
A few months ago I bought the one blade advertised by Rick Harrison of the show Pawn Stars. I like that razor and it came with a year's worth of razor blades. I bought it at Walmart, in the products as seen on tv section.
Antonio, Big fan, all the way from Israel. Shaving is kinda big deal for me - I work in a big company with a "shaving" dress code. The video was amazing, throughout and enlightening. OneBlade seems to be quite an upgrade on my current razors!
I find this video pretty helpful. ‘Have had beard for more then 2 years now and I’ve been cutting it with trimmers but today I’m gonna use a razor blade by myself - feeling nervous 😬
Wet shaving is really important. It has a long tradition and is just better for your skin than an electrical razor. I am glad, that I discovered wet shaving with a safety razor. Too sad, that nobody had showed me before!
I stumbled onto your you tube and am completely ecstatic about finding it. Thank you for so much valuable information, and thank the gods that be style and class are not dead and buried......I'd been away from upping my appearance for quite some time because life happened. This information is helping my "inner light" express its self once again! I have been using my uncle,s safety razor from the forties and am willing to venture out on a limb to try this new razor...thank you, kindest regards David
The only best shave of your life is in a barbershop. Every gentleman needs to make a trip to the barbershop at least once a month for a shave, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a barber. I will say though Antonio that you were on point with all the steps. Thank you💈
I personally use a double edge safety razor and do two (sometimes three) passes, the last two passes being against the grain except on my throat and under my chin as the hair is thick and causes irritation. This method works well for me but at the moment I am using a canned Gillette shaving cream (don't crucify my I didn't pay for it, I'm a sucker for free stuff). After I've emptied the can I'll be investing in a nice shaving mug and some quality soap as well. Shaving is quite the relaxing ritual for many men.
Been shaving with a double edged razor for years, an excellent and cheap way to shave. The razor baldes cost next to nothing, and I can get at least 6 shaves out of a single blade. Picked up a feather all stainless steel about five years ago, it shall outlive me easily.
Step 1 buy a DE razor $15.00 Step 2 buy a $5.00 brush Step 3 buy a $1.29 cake of soap Step 3 buy a .50 shave cup at a thrift store Step 4 buy 100 Derby blades for $7.00 Step 5 save $280.00 and shave for a year. All the steps you need.
Thats the Point to win the match! All what you need is a Merkur Futur 700 with Gillette Perma Sharp Blades, a synthetic brush and the Tabac shaving soap, Tabac Aftershave ... You will have a First class shave.
I am on the pale side, with sensitive skin, so razor burn looks real bad. Slowly I learned this economical method as a young man(pre-internet). Apply really warm water, apply barbasol/soothing aloe, Wait 2/3 min. Shave with an extremely cheap Personna Twin II plus disposable razer, with the little white strip. Switch handles on the sink and rinse with cold water, then I let it air dry as I pick out my days cloths. No after shave, something(the aloe) in the barbasol leaves a film on your face. You can feel it when rinsing. The shave is silky smooth, fast, simple, and nearly free.
Huge thanks for this video AC...no one taught me either and my grandfather was a Barber to boot 😲. The preshave lotion and badger brush changed everything for me... haven't had razor burn since!
I heard that it's after shaving, it's recommended to use rubbing alcohol instead of aftershave. Apparently some people don't like the scent of aftershave and get turned off if you're around them.
Different people have different tastes, and different aftershaves have different smells.. I use aftershave balm which and you can't really smell it, and if you do it smells good. As for rubbing alcohol, that can dry your skin out too much, I would stay away from rubbing alcohol if you live in places with cold weather like I do.
Yeah that's actually what I thought as well when it comes to rubbing alcohol. I was experimenting it for a few weeks and then I stopped. I'm sure each aftershave is different. Just a matter of choosing the right one.
bacon You can try Nivea Men Aftershave Balm, it's about 5-7$ for 100 ml and it's alcohol free. That's what I've been using for about 2 years now, works pretty well for me, and it doesn't have a strong odor
A quick observation( not a criticism ): looking at the design of the One Blade's head and blade placement then watching you shave with it-the razor seems like a cosmetically updated take on both the Schick Injector and GEM or American Standard Company Single Edge safety razors. Even though it is described as "not a safety razor" the shave technique and angle is identical to that of the aforementioned. Incidentally, I'd never encounter the "2 minute wait" after applying the shave lather. I will give it a try. Thank You.
Thanks a lot for the tutorial Sir. Because it is really something that I always needed since I have got blessed with beard. As I always had to visit barber for a quality shave for special events.
I shave my face. I use Creamo shave cream applied with a brush. Sometimes, if I’m in a hurry I’ll just put some hair conditioner on my face. It works fine.
Great video. Really great for young man learning basic. But you get the like, and my admiration, for that cheeky app advertisement. Haha. :) Keep it going, Antonio!
Great video Antonio! You don't see many video's like this were somebody does everything right! I shave with a DE razor because I think there is more choice of blades! Thank you for this video!!
I recently heard about OneBlade Razor and have done some research on the brand. Everything I have seen seems to indicate they are the best quality. I currently shave with a safety razor, thanks to your advice, but my poor technique sometimes leaves me with more cuts than what would be desirable. Would love to try my hand with a OneBlade! Btw, guys, once you try to shave with something other than a cartridge razor, you never go back; not to mention, the money you save is ridiculous!
Anybody else notice that Aaron Marino cup @2:13? Shots fired at Alpha M? lol jk I like both channels. It's good to have competition anyways, for both companies to push each other and strive to always be better. Great content on both channels. Keep up the hard work Gentleman.
I would suggest to apply the cream by "randomly" moving the brush in order to cover every spot under the beard. that's why brush is used instead of hands.
I had one safety razor and I gave it to my uncle. I do not know if he still uses it. I found it takes too much time, I can easily get perfect shave with cartridge razor machines and it takes me a lot less time. There is a reason why somebody came up with those.
I have been wet shaving for over 4 years and will never go back to cartridge razors! Check out Italian Barber, that's were I get all my blades, brushs and shave soaps. I have old school razors I buy that are over 70 years old and pop a new blade in them and I get a BBS shave every time. I prefer OC and slant razors as well! Carry On!
Jarvis - this razor is not about saving money. It's more expensive - hence the Ferrari comparison. But it's amazing to use and worth consideration for the man who appreciates the art of shaving or wants to try something that is a mix between straight & safety razors..
Great video Antonio! I started wet shaving few monts ago, I am very suprised how good of a shave it gives me. And You were the one who persuaded me to try this. One of my best this year decisions, saved a lot of money, even though I've been using safety razor for a few months only. Thank you! And if you don't know wheather to start wet shaving or not - do it. It is far more effective and cost-effective than cartridge razors.
+Real Men Real Style Yea, I really like the idea of using hot towel. To this day, I simply poured warm water on my face. Your idea seems much more comfortable
I have a routine that's perfect for those that suffer from ingrown hairs, acne and burning associated with having a nice smooth clean shave. Been doing it this way for years if anyone is interested. I don't use any fancy products either. I shave twice a week! It's a bit fussy or ocd but it works quite well, not one ingrown hair, zit or razor rash and I get a perfect shave every time!
I wonder if it is easy to disassemble the OneBlade. When I want to make a full cleanup of my safety razor I just need to take off the shaft and then I have three pieces. The OneBlade has screws as far as I see it.
this guy is a very good salesman. guaranteed he's making great income. he hit all the key points in selling a product, and did it without seeming like he was trying to. cudos.
Bro I was thinking about how he straight away started talking about a Ferrari like shit he’s already caught me in his trap
But is One Blade as good as other razors.
@@SuperSteve180 Yes a safety razor is much better than a cartridge razor. A straight razor is the best if you’ve mastered the technique, and put time into maintaining the blade.

Thank you for these videos Antonio.
oliver lönnberg wow bro hahah cool
Great video! Picked up a tip I was missing - the 2 minute wait. Thanks for a well presented video.
OK Antonio - I am officially enlightened regarding shaving PROPERLY. I discovered I need to take more time and invest in better products. Thank you Sir!
Boom! Winner - Please send your full name and address here: www.realmenrealstyle.com/contact/
No bullshit ads got straight to the point thats a sub for me!
A few months ago I bought the one blade advertised by Rick Harrison of the show Pawn Stars. I like that razor and it came with a year's worth of razor blades. I bought it at Walmart, in the products as seen on tv section.
Nice video. instead of reapply the cream I use just ordinary Vaseline then wait for a while & shave over it. it looks to me as a magic clean & soft.
Brilliant video Antonio.
One of the best shaving videos I've seen on RUclips in a while.
Appreciate it!
Very nicely done, Antonio! One of your better videos out there. Nice production and informative. Thanks!
Thank you!
Antonio, Big fan, all the way from Israel.
Shaving is kinda big deal for me - I work in a big company with a "shaving" dress code.
The video was amazing, throughout and enlightening.
OneBlade seems to be quite an upgrade on my current razors!
Definitely! Cheers Israel.
after watching this, I'm glad that I'm an Eastern Asian where my facial hair is very scarce
Right, and you are also glad that your willy is small
+EddieDuesentrieb this was uncalled for
+EddieDuesentrieb this was uncalled for
Uncalled for but made me laugh.
+jballau the internet is just one large roast. XD
I find this video pretty helpful. ‘Have had beard for more then 2 years now and I’ve been cutting it with trimmers but today I’m gonna use a razor blade by myself - feeling nervous 😬
I shaved last week for the first time over a year and got crazy burn.
Wet shaving is really important. It has a long tradition and is just better for your skin than an electrical razor.
I am glad, that I discovered wet shaving with a safety razor. Too sad, that nobody had showed me before!
For sure. You can download my free ebook here: www.realmenrealstyle.com/shaving-ebook/
I saw that alpha m cup ;) great to see references to other channels I love it
That was my Easter Egg :) I'm going to make these videos more fun :)
I heard that was a Christmas gift. I wonder if Aaron will mind how Antonio's using it. XD
im glad Us men can Have beards or will when we are older because in the winter you can just let it grow and just chill.
Nice! Thanks for sharing your routine. Here are other steps to take to prevent razor burn: www.realmenrealstyle.com/avoid-razor-burn/
, thanks Antonio for this tutorial, I already bought a OneBlade razor, and it's an amazing razor
Men, I love your tutorials!
Recently I got into podcasts, and I should say that yours is a MUST for everyone!
Good job!!
Very informative. Loving the new video styles
Thanks Henry. What else do you want to see from my channel?
This channel is amazing brah
I´m 16 but i still watch all the videos to see if i learn something
keep up the good work.
great video thanks Antonio =)
You're welcome!
I just admire how you have stepped up your video/audio game with this new level productions !!! Great job!
Thanks. I'll look into it.
Thank You.
All of your videos are GREAT !! so glad i found your channel
Thanks for watching!
Suit jacket and shirt have great contrast! Cool looking razor too
Appreciate it!
Another excellent video.I would mention heating the blade with hot water.
Yes!
Yes, while I'm prepping my face I heat the blade and soak the brush in the soap cup. Only thing I haven't tried is the 2 minute wait.
+Gregory Saunders yeah idk if that's really necessary
+Sean Mcgrew no he doesn't. In fact he often loads the blade after applying the lather so he doesn't worry about waiting a short time post lathering.
+Sean Mcgrew I've watched loads of his videos. Any product he likes does not dry out. If it does then he won't be recommending it.
Thanks a lot for the tutorial Sir. Because it is really something that I always needed since I have got blessed with beard. As I always had to visit barber for a quality shave for special events.
Another great video as always, thanks Antonio.
Appreciate it.
Your videos are so high quality
Thanks!
Thank you so much Antonio, for all the hard work.. Keep Going!
dude, ur using an alpha m. mug. the two of u rock!!!
After the cold rinse, i recommend using an Alum Block of some sort. stops those bleeders dead in there tracks.
The annotations dont work on mobile.. it would be a good idea to include a link to oneblade in the description!
I shave my face. I use Creamo shave cream applied with a brush. Sometimes, if I’m in a hurry I’ll just put some hair conditioner on my face. It works fine.
Great video Antonio! Eloquent as usual
i love the new background
Thanks!
Hi AC in Malaysia in the afternoon just put water only no need hot water because wheather is to hot sunny almost 40'c...thanks⚘
Clean shaven. Like a true gentlemen
I like the new background man!
Thanks Jackson.
Yup - they are the real deal - the Ferrari of Razors!
hey the razor is not in the link
Anybody else notice that Aaron Marino cup @2:13? Shots fired at Alpha M? lol jk I like both channels. It's good to have competition anyways, for both companies to push each other and strive to always be better. Great content on both channels. Keep up the hard work Gentleman.
You know we're business partners, right?
+Real Men Real Style How about that. Like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan doing business.
Best video I've ever seen.
I would suggest to apply the cream by "randomly" moving the brush in order to cover every spot under the beard.
that's why brush is used instead of hands.
that was really helpful , when i have an occasion i'll follow these steps
I had one safety razor and I gave it to my uncle. I do not know if he still uses it. I found it takes too much time, I can easily get perfect shave with cartridge razor machines and it takes me a lot less time. There is a reason why somebody came up with those.
I have been wet shaving for over 4 years and will never go back to cartridge razors! Check out Italian Barber, that's were I get all my blades, brushs and shave soaps. I have old school razors I buy that are over 70 years old and pop a new blade in them and I get a BBS shave every time. I prefer OC and slant razors as well! Carry On!
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out as soon as I can.
How much money can you look to save using this type of razor when compared to say using one of those Gillette fusion blades?
***** Many thanks, Sean.
+Sean Mcgrew sure thing! As I am from the UK, I would be most grateful if you could link some websites as well. Thanks in advance!
Thanks Daniel - appreciate it! Did you learn anything new in the video?
+Real Men Real Style Yea, I really like the idea of using hot towel. To this day, I simply poured warm water on my face. Your idea seems much more comfortable
Highproof is a great shave great video
ahhh aaron marino! oh btw nice new background
the mug was from aaron marino!!
What do you do?
I wonder if it is easy to disassemble the OneBlade. When I want to make a full cleanup of my safety razor I just need to take off the shaft and then I have three pieces. The OneBlade has screws as far as I see it.
