It was actually one shot every fifteen minutes, for a year, from a camera fixed to the Bawdsey Martello tower. It was an art project called 'Lines Of Defence'. There is, somewhere, a 30 minute edit I have seen. I don't live that far away - indeed, I've cycled to that very spot, and it's not a little frightening to see.
well Im not a super-expert thats true; but the film above shows clearly to me that it happens rapidly. And this is not the only erosion situation on this planet that happens very rapidly.
i saw this today in my 6th grade science class i came back because: 1. its was a cool video and i had to give it a thumbs up 2. i wanted to know the song great video btw : )
omg, so many people asking about the song.. :-/ i believe this research is faaaar more important than the song.. Liam, great work.. Can you update with a picture of how it looks today, 6 years later? I would appreciate it.. Ana
You should upload a slower version...with the same pictures, but slowed down---each shot a second or so. The contrast between the light pictures and the dark pictures makes it difficult to watch. But a really good effort.
Hahaha my teacher Mr Doherty Showed us this... we prefered it to the other class... cause we are the squirralsquad :L:L People that go to SRCC will understand what I mean if they have mr doherty :L:L x And IM loving the song BTW ;)
Im only a high school Geography student but I don't understand how this can happen over the course of one year. That surface soil, down to even the B horizon looks to be pretty dense to me. How can those little waves erode so much of that land within the course of a year ? Any explanations please.. The waves do not even look that big/destructive.
Brandon Carty the water could be acidic, breaking down the coastline, or because of the sediment in the sea colliding with the cliffs casing break down etc.
well if you think about that the world is slowly shrinking every year sense the dirt doesn't go back on land at all because dirt would just dissolve in the water
You should take in mind that this footage shows erosion of this particular mixture of materials. It looks like pretty soft material to me, like clay. If you've got a hard rock coast, the erosion process is a lot slower.
but thing is this type of erosion is not the only one there is erosion due to rivers as well and i made some movies about that on my own account about sediments and missing delta;s. thing is that geological processes are more rapid than regular science admits; this shows that the times of history are different thatn people think it is; billions of yrs shrink to just a coulple of 1000 of yrs. I have no problem with that; do you ?
This shows that continents are not as old as science say, if it takes 17 m in 1 year then it would take 59 yrs for 1000 m = 1 km; it takes aprox 60.000 yrs to wash away 1000 km; because England is surrounded by water + is aprox 1000 km length + is the smallest aprox 150 km it would take in between 9000-30.000 yrs to wash away England entirely. Which "wise scientist" would argue that this earth is billions of years old. + that continents are 100-s of milions of years old ?
but not being a super expert doesnt mean that one cant figure things out for himself and if I see that world wide this fenomena is taking place then it rises some serious question about what regular science want to put across to you and me; things that are simply not true: world wide coastalerosion shows that continents are not as old as science claims they are; they simply can't be. coasts are eroding way much faster than continents are claimed to be old. they're not milions of yrs old cant be
Artist: Ten Second Epic
Song: Count Yourself In

Im a science teacher and this is very helpful to explain my lesson... thanks for this video!! i used this video almost every years since 6 years ago.
my science teacher showed me this and OMG i loved the music -_-
My teacher showed us this and I searched it up just for the music

NASA's APOD in May 16, 2022 featured this video. It is really helpful! thanks!
Nice job we can see the evolution of this land.
Thanks for the video I used it to teach science in ESOL with my knuckleheads (cabezahueca)
hi im from Fulham prep miss botha showed us this video its amazing how far it moved back
Ibraheem farnsworth
Excellent! I'm sharing this with my university students next week. Thank you, Liam. :)
Omg my science teacher showed me this today !!!
My teacher showed me this too for a weathering and erosion unit. Love the music ;)
Submission is advancing at a frightful speed. Love the message of the flags!
Amazing! I never knew that could happen!

Seventh year of using this video in my Earth Science class. Thanks
OMG this vid was great it helped me alot in my project thank you very much (
great science project

So cool😊😉🐾🐾🔜🔜🔜
Great song. Who is it?

MY SCIENCE TEACHER SHOWED US THIS VIDEO TODAY!
My science teacher showed this in class today.!(:
my geography teacher told us about this but never showed , maybe he did but i wasnt in school that day haha. this is pretty cool
This is an awesome videos
incredible
this planet cannot be so old!!!
Amazing. Nice work, thanks for posting.
gotta admit thought its a pretty sick song especially for this project
NIcely done. I will be using this for a school project. Thanks!
what is this song It is cool

That would make it INCREDIBLY boring
my teacher showed me this vid, it is great! I hope I will get a 7 or higher for my test, haha!
sick song
Good work.

My Teacher Showed Us This
wow i am doing geography in 5th year this might come in useful
love you Mrs.White ;-;
well,, the video is ordinary thing,,, but i love the song !!!!!!.. so i like it !!!
What do the flags say? Submission is....???
Cool video :)
nice one but useless 2 watch it in lq but its quite good at HQ. what is exactly wrote with the flags???
This is really cool!
how many billion years did it take to make this
what song is that?
What do the flags say other than subscribe?
Love the song..

I do the waves hit the dirt and it gets moist and becomes weak and breakes down over a year
Brandon Carty the water could be acidic, breaking down the coastline, or because of the sediment in the sea colliding with the cliffs casing break down etc.
what song is that
it sooooo cool
Why didn't they dump big rocks down along the bottom?
gr8 vid, i am so using this for my ICT project!
Did the flags just fall off the cliff when the waves eroded the rock?
well if you think about that the world is slowly shrinking every year sense the dirt doesn't go back on land at all because dirt would just dissolve in the water
wow how long did this project take?
Can you upload it with some easy music? Good vid!
You should take in mind that this footage shows erosion of this particular mixture of materials. It looks like pretty soft material to me, like clay. If you've got a hard rock coast, the erosion process is a lot slower.
Awesome songg :D
I have a test on this tomorrow xD
same
I once saw this in my 5TH grade science class it cool what erosion and weathering can do at first i didntget it now i do
Commenting this so you get notified and get nostalgia
@MongoDePrito Do you go to St.Richards?? Cause he is my hums teacher!! well was but we broke up from school today :L
What is the song? Love the video by the way:)
August Pullman count yourself in
We watched this in class
blimey... at this rate there wont be anything left of us...
but thing is this type of erosion is not the only one there is erosion due to rivers as well and i made some movies about that on my own account about sediments and missing delta;s. thing is that geological processes are more rapid than regular science admits; this shows that the times of history are different thatn people think it is; billions of yrs shrink to just a coulple of 1000 of yrs. Song?
Was the timelapse 1 million years long?
The song is count yourself in by 10 second epic
wow. that sucks..
great video(:
You mean "slick', I suppose.
said "eh?" :(
Reminds me of my family in Canada...
nice
Nice time laps video showing the effects of coastal erosion. Sorry, I had to mute the soundtrack, too distracting.
It is quite a bit of erosion but I'm more worried about other aspects of global warming

Watt sonq iss thiss someone tell mii plz!
haha, what a geek
I typing this in my science class rn 0-0
Me to
HELLO
crazy hes like 26 now
Your comment shows that you do not have a single idea how the whole process of erosion AND DEPOSITION works.....
I'm not black
Rip
isn't this just erosion?
weathering is the process in which it breaks down rocks, erosion is when it carries those small pieces into a different location
Nice. You ruined our education
Would have been very nice without the bs music attached
learn to write english first.
nice
