I will write this down - something to remember for myself and others to have written on their wall to remind them every day !! 🌞 !!. God never ect. Thank you soo much always enjoy you and your information ! 🐧 !.
Wow, I'm truly blessed to live 10 minutes away from Disneyland. Like I can see the fireworks from my living room window. I've been going to auditions since I graduated highschool. I've never been to a character host audition, so I have very high hopes. If I don't get in, that's okay. I'm going to apply for college and see if can get into the Disney college program.
Good luck good luck good luck!! You have such a great attitude! That's the thing with Disney / entertainment world in general, you've gotta be willing to hear "no" and keep trying! And highly recommend the DCP if working in a Disney park is your dream! It's definitely a great way to get your foot in the door with the company
Just a tip for anyone wanting to work for Disney in a "support" capacity (aka not an actual castmember, just more of a backstage role) like I did with Security, best way is to go in through the military or a police force. Disney is really good about hiring vets for critical support roles like security, maintenance, etc. and it's actually a really decent job with a ton of perks. I did it for about 5 years until I got a better offer to work security for an oil refinery.
I know from workers in Disney, they recommend doing your daily makeup, whatever that may be! If you're like me & wear different amounts depending on the day, just make your best features pop! For example maybe wear some mascara, blush, chapstick & some coverup :) And wear your hair off your face! That doesn't necessarily mean a ponytail, just make sure it's not in the way/distracting & neat
I always wished I could work at Disneyland as a princess as a kid, and was so disappointed to look up requirements when I was 11 to find I was already too tall for all the characters lol
I just looked at the casting website and the star wars character descriptions were a range of 6’-6’3. Which I guess is tall ish but it’s not THAT tall. So idk. When I went Chewbacca seemed to have platform shoes so 🤷🏼♀️ but I also saw Darth Vader and Kylo ren and they seemed taller than 6’3. Guess if you’re really good they’ll stretch the height one way or the other
If you’re still interested... the new ride, Rise of the resistance (which is awesome, btw),has people working in the ride, as the first order. Those people ranged from maybe 5’6 to about like 7ft. It was crazy, but they where really tall. And the best part is, you get to boss people around all day. So that would be your best bet. Honestly, it seems just as fun.
I want to be a Disney Imagineer soooooo bad!!!!!!!! I've already planned out an engineering college and everything!!!! Thank you so much! Your videos encourage me so much every day! I'm in middle school and I want to be like you!! Thank you again!
I don't want to work as a performer but I do just want to work at Disney in general. I unfortunately don't quality for DCP since I graduated last year but I'm going to try for the internships once I get money to move out there.
Yeah I was shocked! Lesson learned that if I go again, have my friends wait in the car or at the Starbucks across the street because it won't take that long!
I wanted to work as a character performer when I was younger, I only auditioned once and it didnt go so well... kinda on the tall side and busty (if you catch my drift lol) but as a former gymnast and now aerialist it would still be amazing to work in a show or somethinf of that nature where i could use my talents! Love your videos ☺
To work in entertainment! I've been binge watching so many channels in prep for auditioning/ applying for fall term 2018 I Loved the video and your channel is amazing!!
Girl, I absolutely love your videos! I'm thinking about doing the DCP at Disneyworld next year, and your videos get me so excited to audition! Thank you for all the great tips and info 💕💕
Oh, and by the way, I just love all your videos. They are so insightful into the whole magical experience of Disney, so thank you for uploading them! ^^
*sigh* I wish I could go work at Disneyland. It nearly killed me when I found out about the auditions for Star Wars Land and I didn't have the funds to drive down there. And I would absolutely LOVE to be friends with Alice. I've had so many people tell me that I look like Alice and I've always loved the story... it would be amazing to hang out with Alice. I guess I'll just have to resign myself to the Disneybounds and being able to interact with the characters as a guest (which is pretty amazing in itself ^^ ). I've had some of the best interactions with the different cast members thanks to Disneybounds. lol
i really want to go to one happening later this month! i live in la literally an hour away from anaheim. so i really want to go an experience it, a little nervous but my gut is telling me to just try it! i watched ur vids a long time ago and im just back here getting more motivation haha
WDW is so much larger than Disneyland for everything 😊 thanks for the insider info. I grew up by WDW wanting to be a Princess but grew out of it haha but cool to hear about! 💖
I grew up 5 minutes from Disneyland and still live there and my high school is 5 minutes from there. Everytime I go to the park I see people from high school lol. I worked at Build A Bear in downtown disney and would never have wanted to work at Disneyland because it seems super nerve wracking (I’m 27 so I’m too old anyways). 8:43 I live 5 minutes from there and it takes me 20 minutes to get to the park because of traffic. Terrible.
YES! I used to live by Cal Poly Pomona and drive through Fullerton everyday when I worked at Disney and my "20min drive" would take 1-2hrs depending on what crazy car accidents I have come across, plus you have to be parked at LEAST 30min before your shift to get to your location on time to clock-in lolol so crazy but was cool
I would love to do any kind of design at Disney World! I went to school for interior design. The college program changed my life and I miss it everyday! DCP 2012!
@@olivia_simone it would be so wonderful to design anything for Disney! I worked at all star music food court in the mornings. It was the best roll out of all my roommates. I worked really early and got off by 11am and could enjoy the parks all day! My roommates all worked in the evenings. It was so cool gaining a new perspective on the entertainment rolls. Like when I was prepping to move for the program, my family would say are you going to be mickey or any other character, kind of with their lip turned up in disgust. But when I moved back home after the program I was able to explain that it was like celebrity status meeting people that were close friends with some of the characters!
I’m an actress! My dream is to play Rapunzel if Disney ever does a live action Tangled movie! I’m also interested in being a character look alike so I really appreciated this video! 💜
after watching this i looked up where the location is for the auditions and found out it’s across the street from where i work😂 sounds like i’ll be one of those ‘i’m free saturday’ type of things to me
What's the maximum dress size you can be to be a princess? I read somewhere it's a size 10 but I'm from the uk so I'm not sure if that was a uk size 10 or a us size 10 or even if it was true
Man I would love to work for disney as a character. I'm not good with face to face interaction unless I'm cosplaying as someone else and using another character for personality inspiration will definitely make me more confident, even as a face character instead of a suit, even though I'd probably want to be a suit character.
how interesting! They have auditions all the time so definitely worth a shot if you want to pursue that! the more i learn about cosplay, the more intrigued i am! that's so awesome you do it!
Yes! 100% They have an international exchange program and England is one of the countries they recruit people from! You should check out Ellie Steadman - she's doing it right now!
I’d love to work for Disneyland some day, but the closest one to where I live is Disneyland Paris-that’s also the only one i’ve been to. I wouldn’t be able to because of how far away it is from where I live [6 hour drive and overnight on a ferry.]
For the Disney auditions you have been to, are there every any girls of different races? Just curious as to how that works, since there are roles that require diverse performers!
Some how I missed this video. I would love to work in the tech department for Disney as an audio visual tech because that what I currently do at a night club and love it.
how old do you have to be to audition?? I would love to work at disney one day. I always binge watch your videos and everything sounds so cool and interesting!!
Do they teach you how to autograph while working there? I’d love to work at Disney world. I am currently the mascot at my university! Maybe I could even go in as Merida or Wendy! I’m 5’2 and was wondering what are the height requirements for each princess? Ps. I love your videos btw, you post a lot that others seem kind of timid to talk about. Thanks!
Mitchie V there’s a whole class and training that face characters go through! And also classes for accents if needed. You are trained to be a fur character first, although you may never be friends with one. Most princesses are 5’4” but they make exceptions. Otherwise you’d be more the height of tinkerbell and her friends. I’m not sure what what the requirement is for Merida but it might be shorter cause she is technically 16.
I think tinker bell and Alice are shorter. I'm not sure about the other princesses' specific height requirements but I am pretty sure those two are shorter because one is a fairy and one is a child.
I'll be going in for my audition in June, really hoping it goes well. I'm well aware my chances are better as a fur character being 6'0, or as a villain, or - as my friend mentioned who works there now as a character - for jedis or captain phasma, because apparently the 6'0 girl that usually hangs out with Phasma quit recently, so that's pretty cool :D I'm too tall to be a princess LOL Also yeah RIP the I-5 has weird gap times that don't have traffic but otherwise ya screwed LOL
Yes! Its a large part of the reason I have only been to Southern california a handful of times haha My dad hates going down there. How far north are you? For us it is like a 7 hour drive. A tip is if you leave this area at 5 A.M on a weekday we hit almost no traffic and got to San diego by noon. That with traffic would have been around a 10 hour drive usually haha That could have been a lucky fluke though ha
YESSSS! hate hate hate traveling down there! I'm about an hour north of Sacramento - it takes us about 6 hours to reach the grapevine, and then what should only take about a 30 min to an hour to reach anaheim then takes 2.5 hours >_< and we've reached LA before at noon, 1, 3 - there's just never a good time it seems!
Oh Okay Im like an hour south west of Sacramento maybe an hour and a half? something like that. Anyways yeah the drive is always painful. Its because there are only a couple ways into LA, a major city with one of the most popular theme parks and all the fame that hollywood comes with. It's really just bad planning!
That's so true! I don't think people in the past could have ever believed how large the population in SoCal would grow as well! I just learned that California is the most populated state in the country and I was like honestly, not surprised considering the SoCal and bay area traffic I've been in before lol
Like any role, this job also has requirements. For an accountant a requirement might be to work Excel, in merchandise the requirement is to be able to lift 40 pounds, and in Disney entertainment the cast members must be able to stand, kneel, and jump around for long periods of time, sign autographs and pose for photos, as well as be able to imitate the character!
Everyone had one with them so I would say yes, unless when you're filling out the application online it explicitly says not too. (at the time I auditioned, it requested you bring it in)
I love you lots but I need to know... what is the best ride to go on if you don't like big rides. I am going to Disneyland on the 5th of November xxx lots of love xxx
Thank you so much for showing this!!! It’s my dream to work as a performer. I look a lot like Moana and I would hope to be her, but right now, I’m only 5’1 and a half. My sister is 5’2 and I read that you need to be at least 5’3 to be Moana. If I get to 5’2 or 5’2 and a half, would Disney make exceptions for an inch off?
It really depends on the actors they have at that time! The height requirements are flexible and more so depend on how tall the current group of performers is.
@@olivia_simone ok thanks! cause this has literally become my new dream lol. I would love to be friends with most of the princesses, but my top two would be Moana or Anna :)
Your videos are so informative! I'm 5"2 and a junior in highschool. (and I don't think I'm growing any taller haha) It's my dream to go to the DCP in Orlando and be a character look alike!
All of the auditions are posted on the Disney auditions website, and like I mentioned I believe this audition was for 4ft 10 to 5ft 1, and I'm 5ft tall :)
i honestly wish i could audition to be a character at Walt Disney World or just simply be a cast member but my dad doesn't want me to and i live in Scotland and i cant do different accents to save myself ahah
they have auditions all the time for Disneyland Paris in the UK too! Hmmm.. maybe take your dad to disney world so he can see how amazing it is, and then use that to convince him to let you work there! haha XD Thanks for watching my videos!
Olivia Simone hahah we’ve been before like 10 years ago but he just wants me to have a bigger career than working at Disney since you don’t get paid a lot but hopefully one day I get to!! And You’re welcome!! ❤️
Who wouldn't want to be a princess? Honestly though, I'm about 10 years too old and I'm a nurse...so...I would love to do that there or I could be Ursula lol
Olivia Simone Oh! Im sorry! I mean: Is this audition only for people who look like Disney characters? or is it for people who would like to work at Disney? :)
u would be a good alice or tinkerbell
Thank you!
Definitely.
i totally agree
Her voice and personality matches up almost perfectly, but she doesn’t have Alice’s accent, and her facial features don’t really match.
OMG! you as a tinker bell would be magical! 🤩🤩🤩
I love that.
God never says no.
He says:
Yes
Not yet
Or
I have something better planned.

My dream job at Disney is to sell those water spray bottles with the fans on them. Hehe. Great vids.
haha my roommate did that! She hated it lol
I would have thought it was the best job since you can stay cool all day but I still dream of working there when I'm old. lol
Lol

Awesome advice and I especially like what you said about God. I love that, "Yes," "Not yet," or " I have something better." Love it.

How did you do?

God bless you as you navigate the 405 and other SoCal highways lol

It would be a dream to be an instrumental performer for Disney. I have no idea how auditions work for that, but it would be an amazing job.
If you want to avoid traffic while taking the 210 freeways get the fast track! It usually almost always saves me 20 - 30 mins.

how do you know characters you are eligible to be friends with
On the auditions website, click on the audition that is your height range and it usually gives hints!
Roxy McKenna What do thdy mean by "be friends with"

So if you do DCP is there a thing where it asks if you want to be a character/face character?
On your application you can put "high interest" on those roles, and then you attend an audition and see if they cast you :)

Also yeah RIP the I-5 has weird gap times that don't have traffic but otherwise ya screwed LOL
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Olivia Simone thank you! I'll be sure to let you know how it goes, probs gonna put a video up about it after too 😂
Please do! Can't wait to hear about it!
What happened to your audition?? 😊
What is a "friend of Tinkerbell" or other character..? What does that person do?
I live in the Bay Area. We take I-5 all the way down too
baibai247 so you feel my pain! Lol
Thank you for this. My dream is to be a high fashion runway model. Love your attitude, personality and vids!
Thanks an awesome dream! Good luck!! and thanks so much for watching my channel!
Do they discriminate against disabed? I have a slight bent spine and poor gross motor skills and poor muscle strength would that make it harder?
Like any role, this job also has requirements. For an accountant a requirement might be to work Excel, in merchandise the requirement is to be able to lift 40 pounds, and in Disney entertainment the cast members must be able to stand, kneel, and jump around for long periods of time, sign autographs and pose for photos, as well as be able to imitate the character!
this is a dumb question but can you do the dcp if you go to a school far away from orlando?
Gracie Beardsley yes you can! I go to school in California and did the dcp in Orlando!
Did you have to do this audition for the Disney College Program Entertainment section or just to work there in general?
just for character performer!
I hope they make a Disney by me because its so far from me!
Love your Disney videos and tips
Thank you!!! Thanks for watching!
Thanks , you made me smile ❤️❤️❤️😊
I'm so glad! :D
Since you had the digital check in do they still need a physical resume and headshot?
Everyone had one with them so I would say yes, unless when you're filling out the application online it explicitly says not too. (at the time I auditioned, it requested you bring it in)
I love you lots but I need to know... what is the best ride to go on if you don't like big rides. I am going to Disneyland on the 5th of November xxx lots of love xxx
My dream job is to be a Pyro technician for Walt Disney World!
that's so amazing!!! My traditions facilitator has that job!! Best of luck achieving your dream!
I love your videos! I just started making youtube videos!!
thanks so much! and that's awesome!!
aww hope you get pick soon cx and you should cosplayyy
I would love to be with a princess but I’m only 14 and I’m 5’9 :( so I am too tall 💗🙃
Can you join the DCP if you don’t live in America but are willing to move there?
You would do a different program that's similar, but for international participants. disneyprogramsblog.com has all the info!
So I am interested in being in the Disney College program where I am hoping I could be a potential Disney character look alike are we allowed to?
yep! You just have to audition and hope you get cast as that!
Your videos are so informative! I'm 5"2 and a junior in highschool. (and I don't think I'm growing any taller haha) It's my dream to go to the DCP in Orlando and be a character look alike!
Thank you! I definitely think you have a shot !
What were the height requirements for this audition & what height were you ? Thanks it would mean a lot ! 🤗🤗🦄❤️🌈
your welcome
I really want to be a disney princess but I also want to be an actor for tv shows and stuff!! 😂 i'm torn!
Might as well try for both!! Best of luck! :D
Who wouldn't want to be a princess? Honestly though, I'm about 10 years too old and I'm a nurse...so...I would love to do that there or I could be Ursula lol
I would love to be friends with Anna or Rapunzel .
I think they would definitely be the most fun to hang out with!
Can you just pass this audition if it looks like the character?
I'm not sure I understand your question?
Olivia Simone Oh! Im sorry! I mean: Is this audition only for people who look like Disney characters? or is it for people who would like to work at Disney? :)
I really wanna work at Disneyland:3
do ittttttttt
I want toooo!
Your entire energy is Tinkerbell. Idk why. 😂
hahahah thank you! 😂
I wish I hadn’t already become an old woman so I could do the dcp lol
I am Really good Friends with rapunzel in the thumbnail. (We went to High School together.)
That's so cool!
Do look alike auditions for disney world happen in the uk? Xx
I'm not sure! I know DLP ones take place in the UK. disneyauditions.com has all the audition info! :)
Olivia Simone thank you so much for replying love your videos xx
I really want to be a princess in Disney world. I’m 11 and already 5 foot 4
Definitely go to an audition when you're older! You never know what can happen!
