Wow Blake, I haven't been to your channel in a while. Almost 70k subs, that is so awesome. You do such a good job on your videos. Keep up the good work. Have to catch up with you soon. We still need to do that video on Raptor.
Nja. Another's country oil May vary in the southern part of the country and in the northern part of the country. Liquid oil and thick oil machine. The gym uses only average synthetic oils. Because simultaneously lubricated engine and and cooling systems cool the oil change easier for the oil pump to work. If there were liquid oils the pumps would burn out quickly. But if the thick oil. Will not be able to cool and wait a long time while filtering the oil while the engine is dry burning oil. I recommend to everyone only the average oil density. According to the F-1 formula for a power engine for both drift and rally offroad. Video Good 😎 👍
Teflon seals like those updated RMS go out of their way to say not to use lube during install. On the other hand, I used WD40 on mine because I didn't know and it still works. Probably not much chance of it messing up the seal, but just for future reference. Also I don't know how you don't have interference between the 75mm stroke M50 baffle in the pan and the 89.6mm stoke S52 crank, lots of videos out there of people with "rod knock" after assembly that is actually the sound of the rod bolts hitting the windage tray. The baffle that came with the engine is lighter and almost certainly more effective if you happen to be in there again for something.
Well I check it multiple times with the pan unbolted and I didn’t have anything interfering at all so idk. I know there are a few different variants of the E34 pan.
When i put an e34 oil pump on my euro s50b32, i had to use the s50 gear on the e34 pump. The e34 gear is smaller than that of the s50. Using the e34 pump and e34 gear on an s50 b32 euro results in the chain being way too slack. I havent finished building the motor yet so will have to wait and see how it is.
Hey Blake, great stuff. Been following along a bit. Doing nearly identical swap upgrades but on an M50B30NV. But is it just me or did you skip the windage tray entirely?
Did you remove the bracket to hold the e36 pick up tube from the main bearing cap? I removed mine and got really freaked out about removing one cap considering the torque sequence. I understand they are stretch bolts so I replaced both bolts and did 20nm + 50 degrees for the cast block.
Hello friend, does it matter if the oil pan/ oil sump is from a m20b2x or a m50b2x?? I live in chile and I found a m20b25 oil sump, its from a e34 but i am not sure if it makes a difference
@Blake's Garage really? I was told the oil pan would be one of my biggest obstacles(that and the rad) because the s38 oil pump was in a different location
do i have to install an m52b28 on a bmw e21 315, do i have to do this job to be able to install it? turn the oil pan so it does not touch the engine cradle and steering box .., thanks
Not for all the little things. Sure if I just showed myself just bolting everything on it. Most people are thankful I take the time to show all the small details that need to be addressed.
Thanks for finally posting, I’ve been patiently awaiting the arrival of this footage 🙏🏽
Holy shit dude new website is really dope, big congrats on the launch of that! Looks awesome!!
perfect timing. I'm going to be doing this next weekend

I'm starting to gather all the parts I need for my E30 M5x swap - so learnt a lot of things to look out for and what to expect, thanks! :)
Nice glad I could help.
Friday I pick up my m52 engine to put into my e30 as well as a z3 rack. It’s going to be my first engine swap. These videos have me super excited!

@@Adrian-bz2lp hahaha 🤣 nice well thanks I appreciate it!!!
New site looks great! I'll be reading the steering wheel post, for sure. And I'm jelly you got one of the *HOLD FAST* wheels, lol
Thanks man hopefully people like it it's slot of work to edit and do a breakdown of everything but it will definitely streamline the process
Learned a lot from this video just not even about the swap thank you! Love the channel, trying to do something similar with mine :)

Thanks Steve yeah that would be fun. I kinda want to buy one to be honest.
Nice work Blake! About to operate on my m52tub28 and drop in a m54b30 rotating assembly. Keep up the good work!
Thanks
Awesome! Thank you Blake!
This'll be a good watch. I've just picked up an S50 to swap my E30. I'll be putting the same sump on it this weekend.
Definitely every bit of info is in this video 👍🏁🏁🏁
Was it a euro motor? Did you have to use your s50 sprocket?

Looking forward to the writeup
hey man here from Monterey, Love the videos! you're making me write down a parts list right now xD
Well I have links for everything on my website and if you buy through the links it helps the channel out 👍🏼

Let the truth be told
Oem bmw gaskets are the best

Yeah seems like euro motors are a bit different
We want MORE!
Hey Blake, great stuff. Been following along a bit. Doing nearly identical swap upgrades but on an M50B30NV. But is it just me or did you skip the windage tray entirely?
I was thinking the same... may not have fit due to the baffle?
Did you remove the bracket to hold the e36 pick up tube from the main bearing cap?
I removed mine and got really freaked out about removing one cap considering the torque sequence. I understand they are stretch bolts so I replaced both bolts and did 20nm + 50 degrees for the cast block.
Which brake booster should I use when swapping M50 b25 or 30 into E30?
I Love your Videos Man And They Really Help Me Out No Joke Thank you!!! Thank you!!! ..Wrench On 🔧🤙🤟🤝
Thanks Mario
Well done
Thanks
so glad i found this video very helpful for my swap is the oil deflector thing on the oil pan a mod ? because mine seem to be rivet to the pan it self
I have a 318i 91 4door, any suggestions for buliding a complete exhaust system (CARB approved)?
Great to Kno doing one myself bro
Thanks sir!
No problem glad I can help man. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have any

Has to be from a M50 the M20 pan isn’t correct
Congrats for putting this together! What about the picked tube? Did you cut and weld it or used something else?
I will have that info later in the series after the intake goes on as that's nessasary to figure out at that stage.
@@BlakesGarage I had a typo there :) I was referring to the oil pickup tube.
Did you need a special tool to reinstall the crank bolt?
Nice
Do you have a link for that specific kit from elring? I can only find the gasket separately
Hello Blake, off topic, what fuel pressure regulator did you go with on your swap?
OBD II with a bit in FPR I have some for sale they fit perfectly and you don't have to modify anything. DM me on IG @Blakesgarage
So if I wanted to put an s38 into my e36,I'd have to do the opposite of what u are doing? Am I correct in thinking this?
It would be rear sump.
@Blake's Garage really? I was told the oil pan would be one of my biggest obstacles(that and the rad) because the s38 oil pump was in a different location
@@TechTokOffical oh yeah I just googled it it’s in the middle, so yeah you need in the rear on a e36
do i have to install an m52b28 on a bmw e21 315, do i have to do this job to be able to install it? turn the oil pan so it does not touch the engine cradle and steering box .., thanks
You will need a E34 oil pan
@@BlakesGarage ok thanks, okay oil pan e34 m50b20? or m50b25?
Giuseppe Turco 25 and the oil pickup and the dip stick tube. To change it from rear sump to front sump like the E34’s.
@@BlakesGarage OK thank you very much you are great;))
whered you get those gloves from
What air conditioner do you use for your garage?
Newair system I did a video on it about a year ago
24v sensei
Right . . . 'cause BMW OE gaskets never leak. Bah!
عمل جيد جدا👍
The engine, oil pan, and exhaust are the most expensive parts of the build 😂
+1 on Victor Reinz... Don't use that crap on your BMW.
Exactly
"Victor Reinz. Leaks More Than Before™"
Hey Blake,Do you like to test a DIY scan tool ? we just sent a email to you,Please check it.Waiting you reply,Thank you
