I always enjoyed your setting at the Arch Jake, was sad when I heard you were leaving, but subsequently really happy knowing you're getting to express yourself and do your own thing

-edit- also id like to hear more about the thought process for choosing what moves you want in the boulder

Agreed! let's get an insight into the head-setter process! What goes on wall, where, grade-range on the walls at any given times and desired amount in the gym + turnover times! Super interesting stuff!

please make a series out of these

They could make one for every grade and/or style or angle of the wall. Easy 20 videos of content right there, with almost no additional effort other than pointing a camera at Jake when he does the setting he has to do anyway.

It’d be cool to make this sort of a series and go even more in depth with it.

This is fantastic. Love this stuff and Jake is such a humble genuine guy it seems. Great video. Thanks. Now to find a plane ticket to London from the US.

I know people are gonna complain that this was quite short, but it was tightly edited and a pretty good viewing experience. Just thought you might wanna hear that lol

Allways been curious as a setter how do you decide the grade? is there set elements that make it V6 for example?

wow, three problems in one hous is fast ! I usually set 1.5 problems in a hour, though our wall is 4.5m height, and I tend to set withn 9-13 moves.
