Perfect vocals? 1:38 says hi. The tension in her belts is strong. I love her passion and her singing on a stylistic level, but shes got a weak technical foundation. What made Whitney one of a kind is her good technique coupled with a pristine tone and emotive delivery. Then you have singers like Beyonce who have a stellar technical foundation but she cant always let go and pour her heart out in her delivery. Whitney and Mariah were the full packages.
This was okay she has beautifual voice and is very talented singer . But When it comes to singing Gospel music it's supposed to.come from a intimate place. It's not supposed to be performative performance like her other songs. This was just supposed to be a moment her and the Lord. But it felt like she was just performing one of her songs. If you watch Whitney Houston sing I love the lord live in concert. You will understand what I'm trying to say.
Xtina is not vulnerable enough to sing this song. Whitney sang for the Lord, Almighty. Gives me chills every time I hear it.Christina is just singing it like the national anthem or something.
