It does Make alot of sense. Teddy k and cappa set to walk after the 25 season. So we keep both for 2 more years technically.

Lee has huge potential and will benefit big time from 2 years working with Ted and learning. Lee will take over for Teddy K and Ted will make sure he's ready.

It's a great move and Matt Lee will benefit as well from getting two full seasons to sit behind a beloved veteran leader and learn the schemes, the culture, how to train, getting his body right, getting his mind right, and everything else. When Teddy K is done after next season, Matt Lee will be ready. I think Ted sees the potential and that could be a small factor in resigning. Ted won't retire or move on unless he knows the next man is ready. He puts so much on himself to make sure every lineman is ready. He will get Matt Lee ready to start in the next couple years.
