As a cbr650r owner as well I have a couple questions: 1. How much was the tune and how did you tune it (what was the process of getting it tuned) ? 2. Did you replace the restricted air funnels or is it just exhaust and tune?
Hey mate, I used dynobike based in Melbourne and just removed the ECU then sent it to them, they then flashed tuned the ECU for the mods that I've done then sent it back. I also swapped the air funnels from LAMS to a derestricted one, I ordered them from America of memory.
@@JamesBond-ph6hr Might sound slightly different. If you like to hear the difference please check out some of my older video's where it wasn't destricted :)
Cheers, I believe I little bit of both. I did some when I had no tune then after the tune did more pops. When I removed the cat from the exhaust it now shoots flames on high rpm.
It's got a secondary (fresh) air supply to the exhaust side to minimise the amount of unburnt fuel on overrun. Normally that finishes combusting in the cat and muffler. With no cat and a fairly open muffler you get to hear all that combustion going on. Some people hate it and block off the hose (see PAIR valve delete, as in Pulsed secondary AIR), but I think it adds.
What are all the mods on this, especially where did you get the quickshifter from. I have a 23 cbr650r and want to similar if not the exact same mods. Thanks
I've never heard a motorcycle pop and crackle on the exhaust overrun then this bike. I guess it will work on a CB650R since its mechanically the same bike.

I love them personally but after using the shorty and the regular, I personally would prefer a regular lever than a shorty one but the quality on ASV levers are very good.

I ask you if you know where I could get it (SC1-R or S) and then how it works to make it do pops in engine braking and shifting, like in the video, thanks!
@@TeSfonno145 not too sure on what emission standard it is. I have removed db silencer and also removed the internal cat and had the bike tuned. Hope this helps :)
Why does it crackle like that? I mean I'm a fan of a bit of popping and crackling just like anyone else but that doesn't sound natural, it sounds forced. Like someone tuned it to just dump unburnt fuel into the exhaust. Sounds a bit try hard to me but to each their own.
Hey mate, this is cause by the AIS or Air injection system. Probably give it a google search if you're interested in it but it's an emissions thing to help burn up all unburnt fuel leaving the combustion chamber. Since the bike has been tuned and is running richer with an SC project exhaust it pops quite loud and even shoots flames at higher rpm. I could get a block off plate installed to remove the AIS but too be honest I can't really be bothered 😆
I’m not really too sure tbh, I’m around 180ish cm mark and I can have both feet almost complete on the ground. Maybe see if there’s one at your local dealership :)
Hey mate, Not too hard you just need to remove the bolt which is just tak welded. It is in there pretty tight but with a few decent hits it came out no problems. Hope this helps :)
