It's much less complicated for those who are on a low budget... just lose some weight through exercise and diet, improve flexibility and strength for a better aero tuck.
Lol the numbers are so over the top. 😂 I spend tons of hours investigating this topic, and even tho there are savings will almost all equipment options mentioned, you can basically halve the value this guy stated. 😂
the biggest free speed upgrade is your position. Only make sure you can hold it, no use in having a super aero position if you can't stay in it for more than 10 min, or you cant get the power out.
Very nice. I thought I knew everything but the electrical tape was new to me and makes sense. Good point on the water bottle position but it is not practical.
Love it. I’ve been waiting on my choice IRC formula 1 pro TL tires for 2 months I get it but I’m mostly likely going to be running the GP 4000 I have currently this year. I will probably switch over to latex tubes to get the rest of those gains. I would have thrown in working on your position in the mirror on your TT bike in the free section and a waxed chain and EZ disc cover and chain ring cover on the list as well
i read 1' to 1'30 saved with shaved legs on a 40km TT . It's when you add all the gains together with TT helmet, body position, aero bottle, shaved legs or aero calf compression, rear disc wheel, etc that you gain a huge time without effort... 30sec + 1'30+30sec+ 30sec... it 3 to 5min at the end of your 40km TT...
nice collection of tips :) what does 40 watt mean on average around a typical cycling speed (lets say 30km/h)? how many km/h might these 40 watts be (roughly)?
Those numbers are all based on pro speeds and pro power profiles. No way the avg cyclist who’s averaging 200 watts can save 80 watts over your average items. Tires, clean drive train, and your position are probably 96% of total watts profile. And I don’t buy the total watts saved with speed suit vs avg kit these days. That’s probably 5w delta.
when i first started cycling, i never knew it would get this complicated 💀💀
lol its like a can of worms has been opened !! never ending !

divide by 10 for average cyclist. In other case you can ride without pedalling with that amount of saved watts))

awesome suggestions !! sorry for such the delayed response... cheers for the comment
Well - most of the things my wife told me to not wear it while I’m on a 20 mile radius around her. 😂
Of course, for my long commutes it still adds up.
Now we need to write down cost savings and price for each to start at the most cost effective place.
I have sum up all the savings and as a result I have now -30 Watts. Now I need better brake pads.
Pretty sure the shaving saves 14 seconds at 45kmh over a 40km TT. Not 14W. Do you have a source?

72Watts total saving ! Ha ha 🤣 . I don’t think so even on a very good day

hard to justify faster tires for puncture resistance, saving minutes versus seconds.
I never new I actually have a 400W FTP.....
Very good work!
Soooo many watts saved but invested in nothing!
aliexpress clip on aerobars
roadies hating
14 watts for hair????
its huge, yes. I know from swimming, it's 1-2 seconds per 100meters faster without hair.
Awsome
Closed mouth breathing too
All the time you said "saving XXX watts" without telling at what speed is physical non-sense...
Kool
💯🔥
omg i hate this language (accent)
