I have someone I know who went to a local branch for fun and did some of their interviews. They didn't like the sort of manipulative practices and racist practice remarks you had to make to other initiates, so they walked out. This was in the 80s. To this day, they still get mail from Scientology wherever they move, unwillingly.

This body/ego/life is not meant to be tho, and its obvs our fear of the unknown/death that causes that want of being immortal here and ppl like Ron take advantage of that.. but that fear is only existing because we have a veil of forgetfulness we are under while reincarnated, it's not really unknown.

The very Basic course on Dns. & Scn. includes the exercise "stand up, sit down" that this man is referring to. In such exercise the student holds with both hands an ashtray and as loud as he can he orders the ashtray to stand up as he lifts it up. Same operation is done as he brings it down. The purpose of that routine is to Strengthen the student's INTENTION level at giving an order and be obeyed in the everyday real world. That course is called "The Communication Course", which takes about five weeks to finish it. No esoteric deal whatsoever. "😱" 🤗
