This has made my day, really. I got pregnant for the first time when I was 41 (I already thought I wasn't able to, because although we didn't actively tried we didn't use anything to avoid it for at least a couple of years). Unfortunately I lost the baby when I was 11 weeks pregnant, and even more unfortunately when I go to the hospital because of it, I got out of it having contracted a tuberculosis. I resulted being allergic to the best TBC antibiotics so I had to take another less effective medication for 18 months, and between that and the time the doctors took while they made test and find out what I had, I am 43 now (my birthday was a couple of months ago). Just when I was cleared to try again the pregnancy I even contracted Covid too, so my life has been like endless bad luck in the last two and a half years. I hope I'll still have time to try and see if I can get pregnant again (one of my school friends is pregnant right now and she's the same age as me) and hearing that there are more people that had their children in their forties give me hope I will still be able to have a baby. I really want to be a mother but I don't know if I'll still have the time for it...

@@hayjay1130it's true though. I was shown a chart in my clinic about the increasing chances of down syndrome and other genetic disabilities the older the woman is. Also no body talks about the increased risks of miscarriage and complications the older you are. It's great that older women can go on to have healthy pregnancies but that's not always the case. Just being honest 🤷🏽‍♀️

It's good to be aware of the risks, but also of the possibilities. In the end.. it's just different for everyone. I entered perimenopause when I was 42 and, at the same time, one of my friends (with 43) was having her second (perfectly healthy) child.

I think it’s important to wait for the right time and that is different for everyone. Having said that, a woman’s body does have a window when pregnancy is possible, safe, etc. and doctors are only trying to be realistic and cover themselves. Obviously things happen more easily and quickly for women in their twenties but with today’s advances in medicine, women are having babies safety into their forties.
For me personally I am glad that my husband and I were young parents. Happy to now be young grandparents and be able to enjoy life, travel, our grandkids instead of dealing with kids in school or paying for college.

Personally, I think early thirtees is fine, rather than taking too much pressure when you're 29, 30 etc. The desire to be a mom should come naturally. Its a huge decision and being pressured into it is scary and difficult.

I got my first vaccine within the first month of pregnancy (but of course had no idea i was pregnant) and then my second dose at 6 weeks. My doctor recommended i go ahead and get the second dose because the risk of getting covid while pregnant was greater than the shot. I did get symptoms the following day (fevers, fatigue) but it only lasted 24 hours. Baby is fine and have had a pretty good pregnancy so far. I'm considered low-risk etc. I'm so happy I decided to get the vaccine. My younger brother got Covid and was sick with fevers for over a week! I can't imagine getting that sick while pregnant 😟

Congratulations to you both! I was so happy to hear your news as I’m pregnant with my first too! Everybody has such different experiences with it all, it’s fascinating to hear about it.
I’m from the UK and now fully vaccinated with Pfizer. I had no side effects although was a bit tired and had a slight headache in the first 48hrs after each dose. I’m also an epidemiologist! But not a medical doctor. I was nervous too so I did my research which reassured me. Before I got my first dose research came out from the USA explaining that over 90,000 pregnant women had been vaccinated with either Moderna or Pfizer with no adverse effects. Being vaccinated massively reduces your risk of getting Covid-19. If you were to be very unlucky and get it despite vaccination you would also be less likely to experience severe symptoms. For me, any fears of vaccine side effects were outweighed by the knowledge that getting Covid-19 whilst unvaccinated could put me at risk of severe symptoms and also miscarriage. In other words getting Covid-19 is much riskier than getting the a Covid-19 for most pregnant women.
As I say, everyone is different and you may have specific medical circumstances to take into account. Please speak to your doctor and read the advice from French public health bodies. I can also share links to published public health research. Much love x

Congratulations what a blessing. Your happiness just shines through. I had a natural childbirth and I couldn’t imagine my husband not being by my side for support. It’s an experience we will never forget. He loved it so much he wanted to do it again. Which we did 2 1/2 years later then again in a year. So we had a 2 1/2 year, 1 year and a newborn. Alex could do like my son-in-law did just stand by your head. I watch a Dr here on utube and she got a vaccine when she was five months pregnant.

What a blessing! First of all congratulations! I am also pregnant so please continue to do videos on it bc I am very interested since I am going through this pregnancy journey again for the 3rd time. You’ll look back on these videos and be so grateful you have them. And it’s your RUclips channel so do as you please. My only tip would be to make your plans but know they may not be exactly what you thought. Everything from how you plan to birth to how you plan to feed changes with each child. Also, don’t get too much baby stuff bc all you need is a few basic things. They really only need their mama! Lots of love, Andrea

Our family doctor told me that I have U shape uterus; so impossible to have a baby. I cried even though we were not planning to have a baby with my husband. And few months later I got pregnant. And then the specialist told me I have fibroids, so I may loose the baby. I was 40. So they warned me about possible complications autism etc. You know what I did first I changed my gynaecologist. I found more optimistic one. And I didn’t focus on my age possible complications. I just tried to connect with my baby. And I said I am here I will protect you. I was 41 when I have my son.He is almost 8 now. I wish all the best to all pregnant women out there. Trust your doctor; but it doesn’t mean they know everything. Mother knows best. LOL!

Felicitari Andreea!

Congratulations Andreea! I am 30 weeks pregnant and I had the Moderna vaccine. I live in Ireland and here they prioritised pregnant women for vaccines when they started having cases of placentitis on women who had covid, that led to early births and in some extremely rare cases to stillbirths. At the time when I decided to get the vaccine there were already over 100,000 pregnant women in the US and over 50,000 in the UK who got it, with no major side effects. It's not an easy decison to make, in my case I was more scared of the virus than the risks related to the vaccine, but I respect that others have a different perspective. Best of luck for the coming months, keep us posted! Bonne continuation!

Congratulations! I’m pregnant in week 22 and I absolutely got the vaccine! I figured that it would actually be worse for the baby (and me, and the community) to get sick with COVID than to get the vaccine. No side effects other than a sore arm. But I’m not judging anyone - I completely understand the feeling of worrying! Everyone should do what they’re comfortable with! I’m married to a doctor which is very comforting and he helps calm me down. Wish you all the luck! And I really look forward to videos about pregnancy and what to buy and skin care and so on! ❤️
