Of course the day was a lot more than what I’ve recorded but I tried to focus on the topics that I know you guys are interested too, like skincare and makeup. The reality is I don’t apply makeup anymore unless it’s for work. I’m sure things will eventually get better! Thanks for watching!

Right of the bat 51 seconds in I just want to say thank you for being real and vulnerable with us. Thank you for showing You and not a picture. Social media has been conditioning us to believe that women look perfect even when they themselves say “oh don’t mind my messy hair today” or what ever else. Yet they are sitting looking pretty much perfect.
Also, thank you for being so raw about the journey in early motherhood. We don’t see this almost anywhere. And this gives such a new perspective for those who don’t have children yet.

It’s a surge right now in the Covid Pandemic. Omnicron is 50 times more contagious than Delta variant. She should not be allowing the public, friends or not, anywhere near her son, let alone holding him. Those flimsy face masks are useless. Approved N95 or K95 respirators are the only effective face masks!

I’m a new mama too (my baby Felicity was born two days after Eden!). Thank you for showing what it’s really like to be a new mum as opposed to the perfectly curated images we see on social media. I’ve felt so guilty on the days I couldn’t even leave my bedroom let alone leave the house.

Agree. My pet hate is how the younger generation positively rattle with affectation, fast-paced linguistic trends. mobthink and slang words. I can't even see an individual personality in any of them as it's all learned behaviour, vocal fry, vulgar language, performative quirkiness, Starbucks and uptalk. None of them speak English properly or communicate well despite it being the only language most of them speak or have as their mother tongue. All this 'yaaaas kweeen' and the b-word used to address their imaginary audience. Their communication is one slang term after another, it's so off-putting. It's not proper English, it's just affectation and this bizarre made up language with the word 'like' burped out to randomly punctuate every second sentence. Nothing is articulated. I can't believe nobody really talks about this online or elsewhere for that matter. Girls are so heavily influenced by gay men and drag queens it's unbelievable. To see 16 year old girls doing their make up following theatrical make up and drag queen techniques at 11am is so weird. That stage contouring and those lacquered dark brown eyebrows. Wahey!
It’s amazing how much time our babies require when they are so little; but it will change too soon. Eden is beautiful like you & Alex. So happy for you both💙

As a mother, and as a nurse...
I was given a great advice from a wise doctor father of 5 that was my chief doctor for more than 25 years. Advice was: New trends and new medicine, take it slowly, but you can always trust the things that had been proven to work for more than 50 - 75 years.
And yes, I had the exact same problems with my daughter, and yes I doubted about old things...you know...and yes, I learned those worked wonders and helped my child and me to have a better quality healthy life through those first months.
So in that moment I recalled that old advice and nodded....I had to be more wise and hear the eldest with more interest. 😉

True as long as you also question things that feel wrong to you. I'm glad some things have changed. And as long as mother-in-laws don't give you lectures on why they know better.
@@surlespasdondine we moms also question things...that are wrong to us and even those that may work. I was lucky my mother in law was intelligent enough to back up and be there only if I asked for any help, well, really my mom did too. And they were amazed by new things we have nowadays and enjoyed them a lot when taking care of my child.

As this is so sincere and human. It’s just the way it is - having a new born is so hard. Oh my gosh, I have three children and I know exactly what you are going through. I wish I had these video's when I was young and having such issues with tiredness, anxiety and physical problems. I wish you all the luck and now that I am over 50 I can tell you it was really worth it many times over. I cherish my children, they are all well, extremely successful and happy. I have one grandchild and now that is like starting over, only now it's only for 1-2 days. Oh my, life is just so much fun. One thing I can say is that time goes by so fast, everyone told me this and I just didn't get it, now I do. You will loose a bit of your hair, it will come back. You skin will go through a lot of changes, it will all settle down but it takes a good year. I live in Los Angeles and I am a Dermatologist. You will be fine. The supplements you are using will help. All the best to you, you look so happy and your son looks so much like your husband, this will change too. What a lovely family
My first baby girl would ALWAYS fall asleep nursing. My mother-in-law would tell her "No snacking" 😄 Everything truly revolves around their feeding schedule for a while. You look so happy...soaking it in...you're really doing it! Congratulations! ❤

I used Fenoiul tea for both my kids. It's an old remedy and it makes a difference. My kids are adults now 32 and 24. It's old school and it's fine Andrea. It's normal your skin is acting up, its hormonal and it is temporary. Take good care of yourself and Eden is so precious and a beautiful baby boy.

Love this! I can totally relate to the no naps thing. It would be like, "he's asleep, now I can take a nap!" and then I'd just lay there, my mind racing. And I did get to a point where I think I was hallucinating from lack of sleep, saw something cross the floor that wasn't there. Ah, motherhood!
It looks like becoming a mother has changed you 360 degrees! I have no kids but have nephews and nieces to me it looks like the life of my sisters is over😒 but they say is worth it and no regrets, they look as happy as you are.

I didn't have much support with my newborn - at least not the one that I dreamt of about - and when you said that when the baby is awake is your favorite time, I felt that deeper than I thought I would.
For me, it was the opposite - I was so tired and I was also scared to enjoy him and to not hurt him somehow - that I was loving and looking forward to his sleeping time. Now I regret this so much. 🥺

I loved this video!! I especially loved the part of you spending time with your friends. You have such a beautiful smile. As much as you want to get things done when your son sleeps, you really need that nap to rejuvenate yourself. Otherwise you will crash and burn. Trust me I have been there. Plus you are still recovering from surgery. You need to save energy for feeding and taking care of yourself and your baby. Congrats again!!

For boosting milk, try boiling fennel seeds and water with same amount of ajwain, you can get this two items on any Indian market. It’s ayurveda recepie.
I agree it's the product formula that matters, when i started using retinol i bought a 1% retinol serum, then watched some videos in which they raccomended to slowly increase the percentage in order to have better and better results. At that point a dermatologist video showed up saying the exact thing you are saying, it's how the retinol and whatever other ingredients are combined that gives you results. So now i'm sticking to my 1% retinol serum, which by the way gives me amazing results. Enjoy your mom's life! I wish you the best 😘

Just a hint on the pumping. Have either item that the baby wore to sleep in or one of the little blankets that it was wrapped in before washing. It has the has to baby scent on it. It helps bring on your milk. I did this when I had to pump at work. Or you could feed from one side and pump from the other at the same time. Just enjoy your time with your beautiful little one. It goes by fast.
You’re so funny! I love your honestly and willingness to share your natural self with us! You are beautiful 🌺 Here’s a tip to wake Eden up for his feed: Wipe his face with a nice warm facecloth. It will make him more alert.

I just had my fourth son two weeks ago. A couple of things I can relate to but finally figured out with baby no. 4: milk supply can be directly related to baby’s latch. If the baby isn’t effectively pulling the milk out, she won’t stimulate enough milk production. An oral motor function specialist who specifically works with infants would be the best person to help evaluate baby’s oral motor strength and function to see if there is weakness there that could be impacting her latch. (I had low supply with my first two (have since learned they both had tongue ties) and finally figured out the correlation between oral function and milk production with my third and successfully EBF him for two years).
Second, the texture change you’re noticing around your nose and chin - I get that with every single pregnancy and only when pregnant. It’s called perioral dermatitis and 10% Azaleic Acid gets rid of it. Apply twice a day (it burns for the first few minutes). It takes a few weeks to get rid of it.

I am your size, both my boys were Eden size. Yes it is physically demanding feeding a big baby. You are doing great. I also could not take naps. Just not me either. Big babies are now in late 30s. I also worked when they were babies. Motherhood is a powerful force. X
