I have always assumed that like in the US/Canada, we have addressable systems with conventional non-addressable zone expansion modules in the UK. Is that not the case?
You dont really need a manual to set the dip switches. You just need to be able to add up. 1,2,4,8,16,32,64. Chose any combination of switches to make upto 127
The panel should be protected by automatic fire detection and the cable is fire proof for 60 or 120 minutes,,,if its fitted correctly it should be fine
so it's all the disadvantages of conventional with the cost of addressable... I could maybe understand it on an upgrade but even then it's not a good choice. Just fit a full addressable system. Conventional on a new system in 2024 is foolish.

It depends on your location. I’m in the US and our current life safety code requires a detector within 5’ of the panel.
Yorkshire? South of the Humber Bridge? Surely that's North Lincolnshire. I can't keep up with all these invasions this week.
The detectors can me fitted to existing Apollo bases. You just need to break off a little tab.
