Literally!! The scariest one is ‘gender neutral’ bathrooms at bars and clubs? I’ve only ever used one and there was drama? A creepy man peeing with the door open and walking around asking all of women he saw come in if he was ‘in the right’ bathroom when he clearly knew as it was marked. He used it as an opportunity to be a creep! Never again! I complained to the bar and they were like ‘get over it’ WHAT

I fear in the future it is going to begin escalating to violence and the minority that feels oppressed will become genuinely oppressed or even hunted down to extinction. I am not sayin I advocate it, I am just pointing out the direction things are currently heading if this type of thing continues. These mentally unstable people need real help before someone takes things way too far. And they are mentally unstable, the fact that he screamed at a woman uncontrollably over her telling him that he shouldn't have used a womans bathroom is evident of this. I think he was not telling the truth, I genuinely believe wholeheartedly he laid his hands on that poor woman. He is a mentally unstable and violent grown man, and a threat to society. He needs help before someone equally unstable sees him as a threat to society and takes justice into their own hands.

I have a hunch that these guys - men who claim they're transwomen but don't even *try* to pass as female - are more interested in riling up and harassing women, and now do this under the guise of trans rights activism. Back in the day, they would probably have been exhibitionists and their shenanigans would have been considered sexual harassment; but these those who take offense are the bad guys. It's truly a clown world we live in.

I'm a male and I've been in a woman's locker room dozens of times. My ONLY reason for being in there was that I was a janitor. I would always ask a female co-worker to see if the locker room was empty before going in. If someone came in while I was in there, I got out. I didn't want to be uncomfortable, nor did I want the woman to be uncomfortable-let alone file a complaint or sue or anything.
I made every effort to be as quick as I could while still doing a good job cleaning, and there were many times when that locker room wouldn't get cleaned on my shift because there would be someone in there every time I asked someone to check.
Unless it's a person's job, no man has any reason to be in a woman-only area.

TBH I (female) would rather have 10 of you in the locker room with me than one "Woman". It's the people who want to be in our private spaces, and won't let anything stop them, that scare me the most. Especially when they're doing it for sexual gratification like so many of these people are.

I’m a13 year old girl and in my school there’s boys and girls (separated ) bathrooms for all ages . Omg day I was in the bathroom and I heard a very obviously voice come in so I got out of the stall and saw it was a 6th year ( so an 18 year old ) male . I confronted him and he told me he was “identifying as women for today” even though the day before he was still identifying as a male ? So I was really angry and decided to tell the principal , and I got told off because I was “discriminating” even though this huge adult male was in a female bathroom for ages 10-18 so yes , there was ten year old little girls there to 😡

So it's probably cute that you and your trans best friend can go into the same restroom and girl-talk trash about whoever when you're young. But when you're 30 something and some strange 6'2" 200+lb linebacker follows you into an empty bathroom, it's scary. It is.

I'm a female and a few months ago I accidentally walked into the men's at disneyland! I noticed when I went into a cubicle and it was disgusting so I went to go into another and saw a few men stopped looking at me. It was horrible. Seems like it should not be a big deal but I couldn't run out of there quick enough. Men and women need their own spaces for all involved. Those men felt just as uncomfortable with me being there as I did, even though it was extremely brief.

To answer your question, yes, I actually did see urinals in a Ladies Room just recently...sort of. I was in an Off-Broadway Theatre in NYC, and their setup for the public restrooms was the most insane thing I've ever seen. Instead of the two rooms being labeled Men's and Women's, there was a long-ass sign outside that said "We at this theatre believe in being inclusive of all gender identities and expressions, etc. Therefore, please enter whichever of these bathrooms you feel most comfortable using." The two doors didn't have the normal Man and Woman icons but instead each had long signs describing the rooms (Example: "This restroom contains urinals, stalls, and sinks" and "This restroom just contains stalls and sinks"). Now when I really need to pee, I'm not in the mindset to read such a long sign and process all this information. And I feel especially bad for anyone who may struggle to read a long sign because English is not their first language (which is very common in NYC). So I just walked quickly into the first restroom, which I then discovered was for all intents and purposes the Ladies Room, even if it wasn't actually called that. In other words, I was the only dude in a restroom filled with mostly women. I felt awkward, they all felt awkward, but no one could say anything. I quietly walked to a stall and used it. I can only imagine how much more awkward it was in the other room with the urinals. This absurd situation is only causing more confusion and uncomfortable situations, not actually creating inclusion.

The guys I worked with would take turns standing at the door when I took a shower or close by to let other men know I was in there. As soon as the men found out I was in the shower room no one wanted to go in there for any reason. They had respect for the gender differences and they didn’t question if you would be uncomfortable with them in there. They assumed it to be the case and just waited. If there was a woman’s shower they would stay out of that and I wouldn’t go near theirs. It just made life so much easier to navigate and respect boundaries. I miss that honestly.

As a biologically female university student, when I need pads, they're not always available in every restroom on campus. Sometimes I have to go through at least 5 restrooms and then would find ONE restroom with those things to get the pads. Oftentimes, those things need coins, which in 2024, not a lot of people carry cash. Those should either be free or have some sort of mechanism that it would accept cards as well. But hey! having those fully stocked, that too free, in men's washrooms is clearly a bigger priority here.

It’s a person who has aired my grievances online before I can tell you with full confidence that a lot of people don’t have what you have they don’t have a therapist to talk to you they don’t have a friend or family member or colleague anyone in real life or anyone they could talk to personally about it. But the one place that most people have access to is the Internet. And some people just want someone to see what they’re going through and someone to rent to, but they don’t really know how to approach anyone in real life so they just put it on the Internet. It’s a lot easier to drop a bomb online and to find someone to do it to. There’s some people who say oh why not get a journal but the thing about journals is that no one will likely see it and when I want to rent I want to rent to people sometimes I just want people to know stuff but I don’t know how to bring it up casually so I just put it online. But that’s why you see so much people putting things that you might consider private or personal online because they want someone to see it but they don’t know anyone in real life, and being online gives that feeling of anonymity.

So, I walked in and witnessed a wall of urinals with men using them and proceeded to the toilet stalls, which fortunately had doors. Immediately after I returned to my table one of the urinal men came up to me and asked me to dance. He was really handsome and under "normal" circumstances I would have danced with him but I was so embarrassed, probably had a beet red face, and could not look him in the eye. My answer was NO and I turned my back on him, at which point he walked away. Some would say I was rude, but really I was shocked and didn't know how to deal with the situation. This subject is always so interesting to me as a trans man. For awhile in the beginning of my transition, I chose to still use the womens restroom because I felt I didn’t pass enough so it wouldn’t be appropriate. In general, I try to avoid public bathrooms unless it’s an emergency. I just simply don’t feel comfortable in them. Well one day at work, one of the men I worked with saw me coming out of the womens restroom and got upset with me for it. He didn’t understand why I wasn’t using the mens and then made an offer to me that if I ever needed to go to the bathroom, he’d wait outside the mens if that would make me feel safer using it. I chose not to until it got to the point in my transition where it was obvious I was making women feel uncomfortable because I physically came across as male by this point. I’ve never had issues using the mens except one time at a bar when a man broke into my stall because I have to sit down to pee. Since that incident though, all of my male friends have taken it upon themselves to ‘guard’ me any time I use a restroom while we’re at bars. I never made them do this they just all felt the need to keep me safe cuz of how hard it can be for me to use the bathroom since I’ve been attacked for being a ‘man’ in a womens restroom but then have also had incidents in the mens for not actually being male. Honestly at this point I just try to use the family/‘gender neutral’ type single stalls as often as I can.

Not really the same thing, but I was recently at a new donut shop near my house. They had 2 small, one person bathrooms, and both said "All gender", or whatever the wording was. However, one had a hand written sign that said "contains urinal." Oh, such wokeness. 😂

To me, the weirdest part is the urinal in the women's room. Seriously, here where I live (Italy), the vast majority of men don't use it because it feels super weird to piss in the open in a bathroom. It's less weird if you're in the woods and it's an emergency. But normally, if you need to take a piss, you go in the stalls and do it there, so you don't have anyone bothering you. So it weirds me out that they even put it in women's bathrooms, because unless you're an exhibitionist, other than a trans woman, (so much for "feeling threatened", huh?) then why would you ever use it???

Omg, so true that someone else says this. As a kid, I was consistently bullied by guys and my only real friends were girls (oh, that added up to the bullying as well for not being a "real man") which developed a lot of mental blocks to me. P.E. classes and gym changing rooms were also a big bullying space if you weren't the traditional masculine dude (what can I say, rural area in a very Balkan/Slavic country which is very homogenic in a lot of things - political, racial, sexual, etc).
But yea, without rambling much on and going off topic, I developed this block where I am veeeery conscious about being so physically.... open.... when using a urinal because, well, other guys would be around and I legit can't piss when there's other guys around. My mind and body just get into lockdown and as soon as a cubicle becomes available, my mind and body instantly unlock.
But yea, I would personally get rid of urinals completely and just make rows of stalls instead. Any gender should have privacy in the restrooms/bathrooms, if nowhere else, while they're out in public.

I saw a jar of tampons in the mens room at an old navy store a few weeks ago. I didn't even know what they were at first. I picked one up wondering what it was thinking maybe individually paper wrapped ink pens? Then i read the wrapper. I thought I must have went in to the lady's room by mistake but when I left i checked the door and it was definitely the mens restroom.

I don’t live in the USA,in my country boys over 4 years old are not allowed in women’s locker room,so there is a special family room for changing and toilets so kids that age don’t do into man’s locker by themselves

The fact that not a lot of places have free pads/tampons - I know in some schools they do, and women have advocated for more sanitary products in women's bathrooms, but it fell on deaf ears. Now this? Slap in the face.

Her face of disgust looking at that dude is priceless. Obviously, the guy can't get close to real women unless he fakes his way in. 😅

In my past I used to work in the polling stations for the elections. Part of the criteria laid down by the council who were responsible specified that according to GVT dictates a person such as you describe HAS TO PROVIDE WRITTEN OFFICIAL PROFF OF LEGALY ACCEPTED GENDER………

That's a man. Can you believe I just entered that as a comment a few minutes ago, and RUclips not only took it down, they gave me a warning about "hate speech". Oh, yeah, that's right, I called him a pervert.
