As you enter the tea plantation, in winter, there are Japanese cherry blossom trees. and Himalayan sakura
Here you must try Yunnan Sukiyaki and Yunnan Noodles.
The place if you go up to the top of the mountain is next to the border with Myanmar. It used to be the 93rd Division of the Chiang Kai-Shek Army from Taiwan. which has invaded the Chinese Communist Party into Myanmar before moving into the Thai border and help prevent the Thai Communist Party from expanding its influence in this area

We had no idea that the area had military history like that. We also heard that Ban Rak Thai was founded by Chinese soldiers that preferred Thailand over China. Really interesting area!

How to drink tea is to pull the long cup and smell tea's fragrance like you do with wine when you open the bottle or when you pour win into the grass you smell it first. The long cup purpose is to trap tea's fragrance while the hot water extracts the tea's favor and fragrance.

Ban Rak Thai means the village of persons who love Thailand. Because of The King PhumiPhol (RAMA IX) let the lost chinese soldier in Yoonnan by Communist Moa Army and their family can live in Thailand. So they called their village Ban Rak Thai.

@@OnePackWanderers Thank you for your Valentine wishes! Answering your question: My last two trips I have started in Taiwan. My very first times I went to this island and I really fell in love. Wonderful people, quaint littel villages and high tech cities. A great mix of cultures, ancient, religious and ultra modern. And the people are sooo nice. But most important, I guess, for Tia: the food. OMG the food is out of this world. Classic beef noodle soup, xia long bao (soup dumplings), oyster omelets. The night markets with a massive amount of different street foods. The only thing that should be out of this world: stinky tofu.
Typically after that I travel to SE Asia i.e. Singapore and hang around ther for a few days. From there there are cheap options to travel south to Indonesia or north to Malaysia. Special message for Tia: every way you go there it's food heaven. The hawker centres of Singapore, the food in Malaysia (visit Penang) or a food adventure through Indonesia. Both Malaysia and Indonesia offer great nature, on- and offshore.
In Indonesia: don't hang around too long on Bali. Go to all the other islands. They have such a long history and so much to show for it. Relax on the Gili islands, east of Bali. Then go to Lombok, Sumbawa, Komodo, Rinca, Flores, the spice islands, etc.
All in all a great place to visit. And for food: while in Indonesia enjoy the fried rice, beef rendang and babi guling (on Bali) its roasted suckling pig. So good.
I hope to travel again in April this year and again start in Taiwan, Singapore and then wherever I am allowed in again. About 6 to 7 weeks.
I wish I could make a trip like yours and spend more time on the road, but, well that ain't gonna happen.
I wish you all the best on the road. Be careful, look after each other and yourself (in reverse order is ultimately the best) and enjoy and indulge.Take only pictures and leave only footsteps behind. Love and respect.
      😎😷❤❤❤🤟👍🍀🍉🍌🍓🥑🧄🌶🧅🍖🍗🥩🥣🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧

@@ed7872 Thank you so much for taking the time to type this all out!
We've heard the stinky tofu is quite the 'acquired taste' haha 😅
Would really love to visit more of SEA, at the moment we are sort of waiting for more places to open up! It seems that is happening, though, with the Philippines opening and some other places announcing plans to. Cambodia has been open a while, but we were worried about getting stuck there.
Anyways, cheers and thanks again for all of the insight! You've really sold us on Taiwan in particular!
