      repeated slap in the face."
That's, so far, what the noms have been for Joey King-- she's had that award carrot dangled in front of her all four times this season (Emmy, Globe, Critics, SAG), and on the first three, she's had it whipped/whisked away by Michelle Williams and Fosse/Verdon. The good thing is, Joey has taken it in stride pretty much every time, and sooner or later, she'll get one (I hope they don't give it to Michelle and Fosse for all four on the SAGs).
That is not to say that Joey has been winless for any kind of award, though-- she has won a Young Artist for Ramona and Beezus, and a Kids Choice for The Kissing Booth, so surely there's precedent and impetus!

Erica was why I watched 'All my Children'. I love seeing what she was going to do next...hehe. It took her a long time to win the Emmy, but she was so gracious in her speech here. It shows just how good of an actor and person she is. So happy she won this Emmy finally.

The only soap opera I've ever seen is "One Life to Live" and even with that, this moment makes me cry like a baby. Combine that with how generous Susan Lucci is IRL and you better put respect on Ms. Lucci's name!

Susan Lucci's win at the daytime emmy's was not a daytime emmy moment it was a moment in history. Her winning and her amazing speech and the cheers and applause was huge - on par with the Oscars or any other award . You didn't need to watch her or know her show - this was truly a historic moment. You could tell the love for her from Oprah to her adoring husband to the fans and fellow professionals. I do agree her losing was a ratings bonanza - after she won the ratings plunged and now the daytime emmy's aren't even on tv and certainly not prime time. You need to separate a legendary character and actress. Both are worthy.

She could hear Dick Clark over the headsets telling the producers to let her continue. But they kept flashing lights at her to get her to wrap it up. She waiting a long time (too long) for this moment. The fact that they tried to rush her is ridiculous.

They have these awards shows, so we as fans can listen to our favorite person give their speech. And they never miss the chance to chime in with music to stop the flow of the speech! Isn't that whole point of these shows, the speeches? Susan waited 19 years to give that heartfelt speech ❤and they cut her off? Classless.
