    Lively promo/tutorial, Curtis. Nice. Here’s a tip for using a CPL for artistic effect: Stand a piece of clear plastic cutlery (like spoon or fork) between a polarized white light source (like a TV, laptop or notebook computer displaying all white) and polarizer on camera lens. Turn lens polarizer until the white field darkens in camera live view. You should see the colorful stress patterns of the plastic emerge.
    Cheers!

    Had been trying to dive in the whole “filter” system. Simple, easy to understand explanation 👍🏻👍🏻

    Hi Curtis - the link is to 82mm but my Tamron 20-40mm is 67mm is there a 67mm.

    I have a love hate relationship with this system coming from their versatile magnetic VND set. Love the ND range and the CPL is so amazing, but the dam screws! Had to order a bunch because I bent the ones it came with and dropped and lost one :'( this is more a me problem but kind of wish it was just a button or slide switch. My gear does take a beating as I'm a full time videographer but I'd definitely recommend this filter

    Great video thank you. Question: would the CPL filter be effective for reducing glare/shine in a headshot studio set-up? Thanks!

    Would love to get this filter, but it's way too big for APS-C. I have no intentions on moving to Full Frame and my current lenses have a max of 67mm filter thread (most are 52mm/55mm).

    • @CurtisPadley
      @CurtisPadley  5 месяцев назад

      You can always grab a setup up ring from 55mm to 82mm. That’s what I do 🙂

      @@CurtisPadley Considering a 55mm->82mm step up ring, but worried that my a6700 + Sigma 18-50 won't comfortably fit in my Peak Design 3L Sling due of the increased size. If I have to add/remove the step up ring every time it kind of defeats the purpose of the filter's magnetic flexibility. Decisions decisions. Either way, thanks for the suggestion.

    For this kinda price they also need to put the phone filters in the sets, because the price is just ridiculous 229$ for the set

    is it possible to adjust it as just polorizer or just ND?

    • @CurtisPadley
      @CurtisPadley  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, by using the screws on the filter. This will allow you to change to adjusting the cpl part of the filter
