Is no one gonna talk about how awesome this editing is??! Actually begging for a tutorial!
Lively promo/tutorial, Curtis. Nice. Here’s a tip for using a CPL for artistic effect: Stand a piece of clear plastic cutlery (like spoon or fork) between a polarized white light source (like a TV, laptop or notebook computer displaying all white) and polarizer on camera lens. Turn lens polarizer until the white field darkens in camera live view. You should see the colorful stress patterns of the plastic emerge.
Cheers!
Thanks Paul! That’s a really cool tip! Thanks for sharing 🤙🏻
Had been trying to dive in the whole “filter” system. Simple, easy to understand explanation 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad it helped!
Hi Curtis - the link is to 82mm but my Tamron 20-40mm is 67mm is there a 67mm.
I have a love hate relationship with this system coming from their versatile magnetic VND set. Love the ND range and the CPL is so amazing, but the dam screws! Had to order a bunch because I bent the ones it came with and dropped and lost one :'( this is more a me problem but kind of wish it was just a button or slide switch. My gear does take a beating as I'm a full time videographer but I'd definitely recommend this filter
Great review as always dude! Love these freewells!
I can not find these on Amazon U.K. Any ideas?
can you use this filter when S-log 3 is on?
I have VND, CPL and Mist filters …this seems like the perfect setup for me
Good timing ive been debating on the hybrid or their magnetic set
Beautifully made video. And yeah, it's an ingenious invention.
Great video thank you. Question: would the CPL filter be effective for reducing glare/shine in a headshot studio set-up? Thanks!
"One band manned" ! - 4:35 Ha!
Haha I completely flubbed my words there and forgot to put a caption saying *band 😂😂😂
Thank you!
Is it also protecting against UV radiation?
Would love to get this filter, but it's way too big for APS-C. I have no intentions on moving to Full Frame and my current lenses have a max of 67mm filter thread (most are 52mm/55mm).
You can always grab a setup up ring from 55mm to 82mm. That’s what I do 🙂
@@CurtisPadley Considering a 55mm->82mm step up ring, but worried that my a6700 + Sigma 18-50 won't comfortably fit in my Peak Design 3L Sling due of the increased size. If I have to add/remove the step up ring every time it kind of defeats the purpose of the filter's magnetic flexibility. Decisions decisions. Either way, thanks for the suggestion.
What’s Up Curtis,
Im Not Educated At All On Filters… However, All My Video Content I Record Outdoords… I’m Looking For A Good VIR- ND Filter And A Polarized Lens Filter … I’m Working With A Sony A6600 My Lenses Are:
Sony E16-55mm 2.8 And Sony E15mm F1.4..
Thank You…
For this kinda price they also need to put the phone filters in the sets, because the price is just ridiculous 229$ for the set
is it possible to adjust it as just polorizer or just ND?
Yes, by using the screws on the filter. This will allow you to change to adjusting the cpl part of the filter
@@CurtisPadley Oh cool! thanks!
First Comment!
Which filter is suitable for sigma 18-50mm apcs sony e?
I use these filters but I actually use a step up ring from 55mm to 82mm :)
