Hi Dave. I fished a guided day with you a couple of years ago with Rob Brennan. Best days barbel fishing I've ever had! Can I ask what make and model landing net you used in this video? Cheers. Phil

little tip on the Audio Dave....with those little wifi mics, when your back is to the camera.. clip it the mic to your chest as normal, but clip the transmitter to your back or side so that it maintains line of sight, they are notorious for losing signal outdoors....the very best solution is to get ones which record a safety track internally at the same time, then you will always have a fall back...forgive the pun....you're a hero!

Thanks Dave. Is the lack of salmon linked to chicken shit in any way?

No. The salmon decline in the Wye happened suddenly in the late 80s. Since then, despite a couple of glimmers of hope here and there, what’s left has declined at the same rate as most of Europe.
It’s hard to find anything linked to chicken shit except the growing number of ‘Not fur Profit’ organisations flooding the Wye Valley looking for money.

Get a weigh sling. Good grief.

      Oh do shut up.
The landing net is good enough to land the fish but not good enough to lift up for 10 seconds for a weigh! 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Get a grip!
