  • A compilation of images of Tchaikovsky, the Russian composer along with some data of his life, and accompanied by Waltz of the Flowers.
    Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky 1840-1893. Tchaikovsky was one of the greatest composers ever to have lived and an artist whose music conveys the very spirit of 19th century Russia. His music is colourful, passionate and moving.
    Sorry for bad transitions! I didn't know how to make good transitions in my first videos.

    At primary school our headteacher always played classical music when we filed in for morning assembly. We hated it at the time, but I now realise he blew open the corridors of my mind to appreciate this wonderous kind of music at a later time. I owe him so much.
    Thank you, Mr Tiernan

    I really wish this era had such geniuses such as Tchaikovsky. Music is such a big part of our society and it would be a shame for such wonderful music to be forgotten in future generations. Amazing piece of music! :)

      best we get is haywyre in terms of musical genius. but his genre is completely different. go listen to "sculpted" and pay close attention to the pattern in the song. it literally spells sculpted in music.

    I've always loved his music. Something so fantastically romantic and brazen about his melodic writing. It must have been something to see when he was conducting and it was his vision brought to life.

    I went on a field trip with my class to see the Nutcracker when I was far too young to appreciate it. I sat bored for the entire show... until this song began. Immediately, the melody wrapped itself around me and pulled me forward, and suddenly, I was riveted. I leaned forward in my seat and nailed my eyes to the dancers, entranced. I don't remember much of that performance today... but I have never forgotten this song. It awakened me to classical music, and what an awakening it was! :)

    • @ziongite
      @ziongite 10 лет назад +4

      This has nothing to do with being in a band. I like this music very much and many others like it yet I have never been in a band. In fact I don't want to know exactly how it's all made because then it takes away from the experience.

    • @ziongite
      @ziongite 10 лет назад +2

      ziongite
      In fact you a wrong in thinking that just because you were in a band you can appreciate it more than people who have not. I would actually say it's the opposite. You would be thinking of how good the musicians were and thinking too much and missing the experience of the music itself which you should just listen to.
      As an example I am really good at 3d special effects and as soon as you know how it's all done then when you see a movie with good special effects it isn't as good as an experience as when you didn't know all the technical things about it. It takes away from the experience you are meant to have.
      Also most "bands" are shit. No talent. Talent usually comes from individual people that compose this music much like Tchaikovsky or Bach or many others. These men have the beautiful minds to create these pieces. Being some tool in a band doesn't mean anything.

      I don't think musicians are classed by how much someone likes their music - rather, I believe they are classed by how they themselves like their music. Music is an art, not some product you can sell for a price.
      Any man can play a song if he knows how. But that is just the first step of understanding what music truly is. Many are afraid to go beyond that first step and live up to their true potential.
      The problem with today's music isn't about its theme or how the people play it. The problem is that they are afraid to speak as they truly are. It's all become about money and being popular. They submit themselves to the judgement of others because they seek validation. Music isn't about validation. It is about the voice within.

      i believe the music industry goes out of its way to turn young white kids against any music that is "white", meaning it has melody and is not a grotesque form of expression, like a lot of rap. You need to tell your white friends to listen to not only classical but some country and the best rock groups of all time. Your friends are being conditioned by the Jews

    This just wears you out when you're playing it. Comes late during the ballet, and moves along at a brisk, unrelenting pace.
    Basically a big ABA-Coda structure with 4- 8- and 16-bar phrases repeated in AB within AB structures over and over. Gives it a hypnotic effect, but it's a long, tough pull.
    Feels good when the duple-meter coda phrases arrive. Love how this version ends without any ritard. Just slam 'er home, baby, Tchaikovsky already put in plenty of dramatic effect for you.

    This song reminds of my trip to Cadbury World in Feb 08 with my business studies class, it was cold but a magical place of many interactive tours, stories and rides. Despite being after Christmas, it just had that feel for me :D
