Mr. Zim, another wonderful video. I don't what it is , nor how it is; but watching your videos relaxes my mind after a rough day at work. I live in Southern California and here everyone is trying to get somewhere fast, right now. I sit back and watch your videos and can't help but think how nice it would be to live in your beautiful country. I will visit your country one day my friend.
There is a group of African American youtubers in Victoria falls town called "unapologetic nomads" you should link up with them and shoe them around zim. They have been traveling the world and we're recently in Zambia for 3 months
Thank you bro for giving light to my neighborhood.. my dad used to work at Nettleton jnr school from 1979.. so every school holidays into early 80’s we used to come over from Mutare.. it was always kinda strange me and my sibs never really had friends then and walking to Breaside shops was a nightmare koz almost every house had dogs and would bark passing to one another .. 😁we later eventually moved as family to join father in 1984,& that year there was no space for me at Net so had to attend breaside police school for a year then switched back but in a way it was actually good in terms of socializing etc compared to nettleton it was more of whites coloreds and Indians.. fast forward to 2010.. my daughter attended nettleton till 7 th grade followed by her younger sister..I rented and lived in Malta road for so many years and breaside shops and hood as a whole played a big role in my life..as a touring musician I left Zim for Usa back in 2014 so it’s really nice to see the new changes and developments,Mr Zim.. I salute you 🙏🏻thank you for remembering B-Side.. I follow you and you doing a great job it’s appreciated most..Jimmy (California usa)
19 Brookes Drive Braeside... Thats where the story began for me. Thanks for this video. Watching this from Northampton UK, My mind's blown. Really brings up great memories
Mr Zim, another great video! Seems an OK area with well maintained gardens. There are more up market areas in Harare and we mustn't forget Bulawayo! You have a nice little furry friend 🐕
Doesn't look like you guys have much of a winter since hardly anyone is wearing warm clothes! Nice to see all the greenery in the burbs as well as the new development going on.
Braeside was mostly a coloured people residential area stretching into St Martins and Arcadia. I went to Nettleton Junior School but lived in Queensdale. Back then Nettleton looked way different. It was well taken care of just like Braeside itself. My headmaster was Mr Hannaford and my grade 1 teacher was Mrs Bull. We had a school bus driven by a Mukoma Patrick and breaktimes and home times were signalled by the ringing of a big steal bell by the guy who did the teas and delivered our break milk. Yep, we had milk at break time from Dairiboard and I think quite a lot of schools did that too. Fond memories of sports days, civis days, cake sale days and nativity plays at Christmas time…. Those were the days…😊
Beautiful, I read somewhere that Ubert Angel was planning to build a Big hotel and conference centre bigger than the Mighty HICC in that Breaside area. How far is that project has it started or it's still a dream 😂 If you find time MR Zim please show us the recently opened Highland Park shopping center 🙏
Very nice and beautiful trees on the sides of those things we call "roads" in Zim. Actually, they spoil the whole scenery, and some cars not designed for rough terrain.
I went to Nettleton School and my 6th grade teacher was Mrs Glycen, the headmaster was Mr Hannaford! Lived at 9 Nettleton Road... Mugabe has really disappointed us....
Thriving, segregation is the reality of thinking too much, but not feeling too much, how blue is the sky in Mbare with all the smoke and dust? Nonsegregation is a dream. Good to see Roscoe and your drone.
