      Thanks Linda! I've spent thousands of hours to get where I'm at as far as experience, but I don't do a bunch of flattery , I don't really try to grow using nice camerwork,fancy intros or editing,I just try to be a normal guy and I feel gifted but without all the flattery I don't get that much credit.You can watch a beekeeper in there first year with fancy editing and they'll have thousands of subs...it's just society these days and I'm still just me,a simple country boy with a passion for family and bees... so I appreciate the Compliment!

    I hope I get half the takes you get when graft next season. My best one was 70% take, but a rogue virgin was loose due to me not catching a cell. Good job for sure John.

      Thanks Buddy!! You can do it man! It's like everything else,once you do it some more it'll get easier and cell won't seem so small.You done seen you can do it and 70% is good, so now you got confirmation you can do it and you'll only get better and more confident and comfortable!

    Nice man! I'm trying to talk myself out of making a late season split myself. I'd be cutting it a little close I think here in SW Iowa.

      My deadline is late July but we been having strange weather and my hives are slamming so I can make em strong enough to catch flow or at least big enough to make a decent amount of winter bees so I'm pushing it but God keeps telling me to do more, so I am lol I gonna leave one cell in builder and give all the rest of them to a buddy of mine to help him out,there's drones in cellbuilder like hungry wolves waiting to follow her out lol they weren't there when I made it lol

    These frames come 3 queen bars each. I saw another bee guy only use the lower frame and got better results like your doing here. I get that the best cells are the swarm cells on the bottom so Im gonna give this a try next spring. Grafting in August seems too late to me but would love to know how many girls come back mated and living through winter. Are your north or south?

    • @badassbees3680
      @badassbees3680  3 года назад

      South but not deep south, meaning we have bad winters still.. for months,if starter /finisher is correct it doesn't matter as much I don't think, but bee coverage is better on bottom,we are definitely at cut off I had a buddy asking me to do this for him...hard to start colonies this late here and overwinter,better make strong splits and then may have to help em still

      Yea same here in North Carolina. My bees are kicking out the drones so getting mating will be really hard. Good luck with your queens Mr. Rob

      I seen drone kicked out yesterday, some of these are mated and Laying, some aren't yet..thanks for watching and good luck with your hives!

      We are moving next spring to Asheville and I will go to 500 hives within 2 years. Maybe more...So yea Im going to do lots of queen rearing. I will start up a youtube channel as well under mile away bees for new beekeepers. This is my 10th year and I learn something new everyday. I love bee keeping. My gal raises monarch butterfly's every year. She released about 600 so far this year. We look to give back where ever possible.
