- Presented by Pure Adrenaline Motorsports. SnoWest test riders Ryan Harris, Rhett Clark, Bruce Kerbs and Broc Genta review the 2024 Catalyst mountain platform and M 600 sled following our initial test ride.
I've listened to this a few times and it singlehandedly sold me on the catalyst more than anything else I've seen. I sold my 19 high country last week and ordered a 146 M today. I always struggled with that divey front end where it's unrideable in certain conditions when going slow because you can't keep a line and it wants to tip and dive constantly. Under power it's always been fine. So that part really resonated with me. Hoping it's great!
From what I've heard it won't dissapoint.
Great job guys. Hit the nail on the head with the one thing Cat needs to deliver...that is to deliver. Still waiting for my R-XC. Pulled my deposit tonight and will be SnowChecking a '24.
Got to ride with Dave McClure and Todd Tupper a couple weeks ago during the Cat photo shoot, great guys, very memorable! This is great info, didn't get to ride the Catalyst M, just ZR's and Riots. I echo what you're saying on the trail sleds.
Stiiiiill waiting for mine. 😅 I just found this espisode and I'm glad I did. I dont want to get beat up too bad by the 800/850 guys. Turbos are out of the question on this.
So, did Broc Pre-Order one in the 15 minutes or so they were available yesterday morning?
So update did you guys get to have some more time on the catalyst m600
sold. 858 motor is going to be insane. selling my new skidoo expert 🏆🎯💪
so, you are saying this might be a step up from my 04 900-king cat titanium......
Straight line performance… No. Anything and everything else yes. Lol
How did the motor feel? I hear power to weight is noticeable and I hear it also feels different all around and like it’s a little tuned up
Great podcast guys. I can’t wait to ride the catalyst with the future motor! They are dang fun though !
Hi! I’m subscribed to you
@@CrawfishPlays 🤘🏼 appreciate it
How is the throttle response? Haven't been on an arctic cat 600 since 06-07 and never liked how it seemed to lag on the throttle compared to the 800.
Several years ago I rescued someone on a rental M6000, got it out of a shithole and up to the trail for him. I felt it was pretty snappy for a 600, it would've been a 2014 or 2015. One of my buddies still has a 2006 M6 and that thing is an absolute turd.
Great episode gentlemen!
Whos going to have the first big bore kit
Why'd you take it down and repost it?
We removed the intro and outtro, and added a caption that the battery is actually still mounted under the seat.
I might have to snow check a…..600? Yes I said it!
Did arctic cat fix the steering post wobble?
Yes, as mentioned in the podcast the steering system is all new and doesn’t have the slop.
Haven't made it that far yet. Lol
So if you like the current Alpha will you like the Catalyst?
Bruce (in the video) has several Alphas, and he absolutely loved the Catalyst.
Cat patented a turbo 2 stroke in 19 or 20 I believe
They need to change the handlebar set up. It’s so annoying on my alpha hardcore
I’m still riding my 19 Alpha and will be snowchecking a 2025 with the bigger engine. But why why why are they using the same shitty handlebars and controls. I hate the switches on my sled, I really hope they will change/update it for 2025.
I think that's the comfortable part about the arctics. Easy to access.
Artic cat is playing catch up. Releasing a new chassis with just a 600 isn't going to move the needle. I want so bad for them to compete, but no matter how good the chassis is it not going to be a big seller for a serious mountain rider. When 900 and turbos are selling out. It basically a more expensive evo/neo
No ride footage though...
It’s a podcast...
It’s a podcast… 🤷♂️
Ctec first year was 14
2012-2017 was suzuki 2018 was the ctec in-house engine
600 came out in 14
Same problems as always left hand controls are crap and prone to melt , and they still over heat , and the biggest problem with cat is warranty , and quality control , life long cat owner , and do not forget clutch , crap ,throw out cat clutch and put in a power bloc.
Cat lost another lawsuit for 47m. Smdh
Are you guys telling lies to make friends? Can’t think it’s junk then oh it’s so different it’s a new brand? Seems like bs lol
everyone that has riden the catalyst has had the same statements. Yes they are all in the lie together. smh.
Sounds like Ryan will be preferring the Cat in a couple of years.
Lol more like everyone next year will be 🤣
