Braiding and banding holds your hair in place which will help prevent slippage. If you have it loose in a bonnet it's still moving around while you're sleeping, so that can cause slippage/unraveling. I had to learn this the hard way. Lol
Is it best to do the root of microlocs interlocking or with braids? I have the same hairstyle like she does with the undercut. I did interlocking before but kinda didn't like it because between the stylist and myself messing up the pattern, let's just say my locs started to thin and mess up. Currently my undercut is longer than 5 inches and I just want to start over these "microlocs" 🤦🏾♀️ I'm not happy with the install. The way the loctician did them don't resemble these microlocs at all but more like plain comb coils all over my already low density hair 😒
