  • Billie and Neil went for a great fall hike to the Nottawasaga River for some fun Steelhead fishing. Single barbless hooks make it very difficult to land these big fish. It’s also a lot safer for the fish!

I remember my first time fishing that spot. It's very productive for salmon and steelhead and less anglers as well. Nice video sir. I have some buddies lived up there at barrie and showed me that spot . Lots of hiking lol

Havent fished there for over 30 years, had a salmon broke my treble off a spoon when i was young there, still think about that fish today even though i got 100s of them since.

I've been single hook fishing for speckles for over 30 years . I leave the barb and if there's trouble just cut the hook with mini side cutters. I have switched all lures to single hooks.

Awesome video guys. I go there very often and heading there this weekend actually. My question is that deep pool south of the bridge or north ? Thank you 🙏

We think it was to the south. Honestly can’t remember.

Where abouts is the spot where you hooked into those big steelhead? It’s completely fine if you don’t want to share the exact location.

You had me worried for a second lol. You’re absolutely correct. We had the fishing access pass added when we purchased our licenses this past spring.
