Genuine vs. fake. Some things are hard to tell. Such as emeralds. The fake are usually defect-free. Entirely man made. God wasn't involved, except of course, when he made the man who made the emeralds, in His image. Hanson lacks the knowledge of Christ, in whom is all truth and genuine wisdom.

I write down many words so that I can study history. There is a path out of this in the teaching. Our minds need to be occupied with learning. This is, I'm ashamed to admit, my first exposure to Rex Murphy. What an elegant thinker and speaker! Victor Davis Hansen has been interviewed by many fine broadcasters, but here he is with someone who strikes me as his intellectual equal.

This is truly the “Age of Envy”. When people began “throwing away” anything that was “broken”…even people…when we use to take time to “repair” those things that needed “attention”….even people. It’s a situation that is being used to “control” and “eliminate” those who have not been allowed to “speak” to the issues at hand.
Please please get together again because you two are a perfect set of "book ends" to encapsulate talk on the important issues of today. Great to hear both of your thoughts.

Rex, you are way too humble. Having followed you both for many years, this was a meeting of the minds and I love you both for your abilities to boil things down to the core of expression.
VDH brings the relevance of history to the present context and circumstance. I have listened to many of his lectures on classical history and had he been a professor where I attended university I certainly would have seen myself taking his courses. He is a public intellectual giant. Great guest Rex but about 2.5 hours too short!
Another great talk. Victor - I've heard you talk a few times before but I didn't know or understand your views. I also just watched your interview with John Anderson in Australia. Like Rex you really are exceptional. As I age and observed more I've gone from left wing to more conservative. I find the left, the Woke, the climate change activists, and now Prince Harry and Meghan very alarming. It's so nice to hear intelligent, respectful dialogue like you and Rex provide on important matters of our time; and to do this effectively a person needs to know history, which both of you do.

Victor Davis Hanson is probably one of the brightest and insightful teachers/speakers/authors/farmers/military historians we currently have in America today. Unlike numerous intellectuals and academics he has a brilliant way of conveying history/classics/culture that is relative and meaningful to average working class americans. Unlike leftist elites, he actually lives in a diverse area and has made a living working with his hands. He values the contributions of people who stock shelves, drive trucks, deliver goods, grow produce, fix cars, build homes, etc. He pointed out that these citizens, especially during the virus, were the real essential workers and not the people who were able to sit in the comfort of their own home on zoom and skype and make hundreds of thousands of dollars. These working class folks were out there every day taking risks so the people who were able to stay home could have everything delivered to them. I think Victor offers such a unique life perspective especially when compared with many of his so called “colleagues.” This is my first time hearing Mr. Rex and I found him to be an excellent interviewer. Is he based in western Canada?? He deserves much more exposure.

Thank you Rex for saying what I believed to be the case. The heads of these big oil and gas companies care more about their status at the "clubs" than the success of the industry as a whole. They get their massive pay regardless, where as the field workers are deeply affected by the lack of intestinal fortitude.

And until we END this vile, corrupt, criminal & yes, EVIL, Weaponized Progressive Media (WPM)? NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE. EVER. THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE- But they will not.
