I didn't think it was faster. I think it's a more nimble wheel, but since the ACM is a heavier wheel, the ACM feels more 'grounded' and therefore more stable at high speeds. It's a nice wheel but it's no ACM killer.
I don't have any personal experience with this site, but the person who bought the GT16 that I'm riding in this video bought it from here: www.aliexpress.com/item/Rockwheel-GT16-powered-unicycle-global-booking-84-v-voltage-858-wh-speed-surprise-Electric-bicycle-mini/32772917120.html?trace=msiteDetail2pcDetail
Hi Marty, forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/1019-the-video-thread/?page=118#comment-88009 I read your review above. Thanks for sharing this. I am trying to pick my EUC now, and I am wondering whether you can give me your opinion vs Gotway Tesla. Which do you think is the better EUC? and what are the reasons? I am a little more interested in off-load condition such as Death Valley and the mountains in Yosemite. I live in CA too, so you know the type of off-load I am thinking. Thanks!
I'm not sure which review you're referring to, but if your question is Tesla vs GT16, then certainly the Tesla. This is an old video, and the GT16 in my opinion now feels like an older generation wheel. I rode a GT16 again a couple of months ago. My opinion has not changed. The Tesla feels like a much more substantial wheel with a better build quality and features. Of course, if your main interest is off-road conditions you may be better served with a modern 18-inch wheel.
No, I was able to borrow a friends and ride it for about 7 miles. My more detailed observations can be read here: forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/1019-the-video-thread/?page=118#comment-88009
Did you buy it Marty?
If you ever get a chance to review an InMotion V8.. I would be interested!
Wow! It looks tiny in comparison to other wheels today.
Marty, did it feel faster then your ACM? Thanks
