Girl!! Everything you mentioned about braiding your own hair is the TRUTH I’m also a self taught braider and NOBODY has touched my hair in YEEAARRSS but me and I love it that way because I’ve had experiences to where my edges fell out so I’m very selective on who touches my hair which is only me 😂😂😂😂. This is my next hair style that I’m going to do on myself! I love it! It’s so gorgeous you did such a good job!!
I agree im the same way and i braid my own hair for years to. I just braided my hair with this hair in black im try another color next time. I like saving money to doing my own hair im not perfect at braiding either. I didnt take to many breaks i like to try to keep going but im was tried lol. Im try to do the front first.😂 Lol yes the parting was longer i was like will i ever be finish. I was starting to get tried but i finished it and like it. Thanks for sharing your hairstyle have a good day.😊👍👍
@@traquilasmith831 yes!! I did this hairstyle and left it in for a few months I loved it and even washed my hair with them in and the curls never got tangled and the hair always looked refreshed everytime I washed it! Def gonna do these again in the future and I agree I always start with the front first since that’s the biggest part of the head lol! I try to give myself the whole weekend but I def don’t like taking breaks either and rather just keep going until I really can’t anymore!
This is such a great video. I myself am a self taught braider. I’ve need braiding my own hair for over 40 years. This is the first video that I’ve seen that someone has said they are self taught braider and I found it inspiring to know there are others as some of the other comments have stated. Thank you so much. Your hair is beautifully done.
Looks great!!I love it. One of the thing I miss about being a loose natural was throwing braids or twists in when I felt like it. I loved braiding my own hair and it’s absolutely economical lol! So great Chavi!
It took me 2days to finish because I was busy with other things, I started with the back and did the front next day, love my hair so much it is very beautiful
OMG! Girl you came clutch with this hair!! I’ve been searching high & low for the curly braiding hair ❤️❤️ You got me thinking bout just doing it myself lol
I was searching too in the local beauty supplies with no luck. So glad I found it online & could share! I hope your hair turns out well. Just a heads up, it’s very silky so your grip game has to be strong.
I love this you did a great job. I watched another video before yours and she did a good job but she took entirely too long to do it and she's a so called professional lol. Your technique was so much better 👍🏼❤️❤️
I really want to love this technique and I even started learning how to braid like this. Idk when or how but my braids start slipping out after a week 😢. Imo this is the fastest way to braid
Oh no! With this technique you have to ensure the braid is tightly woven. It’s probably not the best technique for shorter hair but with practice, it can last.
I really love how your came out. I want to do this but I just don't have the time so I usually pay someone. But I want to learn I was the baby girl of 14 female cousins and sisters. So I never learned because there was nothing more fun to do on a Saturday then braid the baby's hair. So I've been paying for tie-zillions for 2 decades now but now the hair is hard to find and my hair is too long to get them anymore. So I want try to see if box braids will have the same feel as my zillions. So how many packs of this hair would you recommend?
Thank you so much for watching! Braiding your hair is such a valuable skill & it’s never too late to learn. I’d say go for it! I used 3 bundles of hair for this style. I’d recommend buying 4 bundles just to be safe.
I really want to do this!! But I’m scared because I’m mixed (half African American/ half Japanese) I’m worried people will call me things if I do it. Is it alright for me to?
Did you have any issues tangling/messing up the curls while braiding? I seen other videos where ppl said a lot of curls looks shabby by time they were done from tangling while they were braiding
You was preaching the gospel when you said braiding your own hair saves money. I used to pay $250-$350 for braids and they would braid too tight or I would be disappointed with the style. I been braiding my own hair for 10+ years

@@ChaviAllie I have armpit length hair. No matter how tight I do it the braids slip from the root.
I love curly braids ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m going to Hawaii I’m definitely going to this style
I hope it turns out how you’d like! & Enjoy your trip! 😊
How long did this style last?
Would you say that the box braid method lasts longer than knotless?(Also I love it💕)
I’m my opinion yes it does!
This is really good.. Started doing my hair at 18 in boarding school because my friends complained about my hair being too thick 😢😢
When you washed the braids did the curls drop or tangle and does blow drying after washing make them drop or loose shape?
I didn’t wash or blow dry my braids. But when I wet them with product, it helps maintain the curls.
I didn’t wash or blow dry my braids. But when I wet them with product, it helps maintain the curls.
The hairstyle looks great. I have a question, is this the single braid method for French curl braids?
I guess it would be considered the single braid method 🤔
So stunning 😍
Thank you ❤️
Please whats the name of the product You sprayed on the braids?
It looks so good…how many imches
Thank you! 18 inches.
Looks great
Thank you!
Beautiful..which products this you use as a gel and as a curl mousse ?
Shine n Jam & Lotta Body foam mousse.

It looks super great but near the ends did you put rubber bands then left the curls alone or did you just keep on braiding and then stopped?
I tied where I ended my braid to keep it from unraveling.
@@ChaviAllie Okay thank you so much. You look very btw ❤
Sou brasileira e adoro seus vídeos obrigado pelas dicas
Aw, thank you so much 🫶🏾
Wow how many packs did you use
Hey love, what’s the length of this hair? As in which length did you use for this hairstyle
Hey hun, 18 inches!
Hey would 6 packs be enough for the whole head? It takes long for the hair to deliver 😫
6 packs should be more than enough. Shipping is a little longer but it’s worth it!
Please how many months i can the hair last and is the extension reuseable
I’ve kept my braids in for a month & a half at the longest. The hair still looked good! It is advertised to be reusable if you take care of it.
Ms where do you get these curly braids cuz I look for the everywhere and I can't find them in the city where I'm from
Ayya Hair. My most recent video of me refreshing my braids has all the details on this hair. Check it out. & thank you for watching ❤️
@@ChaviAllie okay I will thank you also
What was the length of hair extension you used? 18" or 24" ?
I used 18 inches!
Quantas mechas vc usou?
Did you have any issues with the knots at the ends coming undone without any glue?
No issues. I do double knots to make sure it’s secure.
@@ChaviAllie ok ✅. Thanks!
How did you stop the braid from coming a loose
I knotted the ends. I gave a tutorial in my last braid video. Check it out to see how I did it.

Hello!!! Can I cut this hair, because I like it shorter.
Yes you can!
I really want to do this!! But I’m scared because I’m mixed (half African American/ half Japanese) I’m worried people will call me things if I do it. Is it alright for me to?
It’s totally acceptable for you to wear this style! It’s apart of your African American culture! I’m sure it will be beautiful on you 🫶🏾
@@ChaviAllie thank you so much! I just recently cut my curly hair and missed it long, so excited!
Did you use any nail glue for the ends?
No nail glue. Just knots. In my most recent braid video I show how I knot the ends. You should check it out.
what's the name of the type of the braids cause I recently bought fake ones and was not good
From research, the closest name I found was French Curl.
How do you tie the ends of it ?
I share how I tied the ends in this video. Check it out!

@@ChaviAllie thank you
hey how many inches is the hair that you bought?
18 inches.
Cute! 😍 How long did it take you to complete?
Thank you! About 10 or so hours but I really took my time.
@@ChaviAllie that’s actually pretty reasonable and in the end well worth it without having to do your hair for at least a month!! 😉
Hey!! Do these come in singles or in packs? 💕
The hair comes in bundles.
How did you keep the ends from unraveling?
I tied them in knots.
Hi, can you go to the beach with this hairstyle?
Absolutely.
Does the extensions come thick or thin ?
I’d say average.
Does this style keep for a while?
Yes! I wore these braids for 6 weeks.
Is this knotless or regular box braids?
Regular box braids.
Did you have any issues tangling/messing up the curls while braiding? I seen other videos where ppl said a lot of curls looks shabby by time they were done from tangling while they were braiding
Not with this brand of hair. It’s very silky & that makes it more manageable as far as tangling.
Does the hair tangle?
It doesn’t if you take care of it. The tangling is very minimal.
Can you get the hair from Amazon
Ayya Hair isn’t sold on Amazon to my knowledge. I’m sure you could something similar but I can’t guarantee the quality.
can you please tell me how many inches this is
18 in.
How many packs come in one order ?
You order by bundle. I used 3.5 bundles.
What’s the colour ❤
All details are on the description box 🫶🏾
What is the name of the hair again?
Ayya Braiding Hair.
If we put them in boiling water instead of mousse, do we lose the curls?
Most likely, yes. I wouldn’t recommend.
Good job
Thank you so much!
How long are your braids?
18 inches
Beautiful job! How many packs of hair did you use?
Thank you! 3.5 packs.
Do you know how many braids you did total ?
