I have a problem of open channel like a pipe is embedded transversely into the channel and a slit or cut is made along the length of pipe on the top of pipe so that pipe gets water from channel and out it into the side channel. I want to learn how to proceed it for simulation, I have tried alot but failed. Kindly suggest me. Thanks
hello Sir, I have a problem if you could solve. In modeling, I have rectangle 2D, done with mesh and want to give convection temperature on one of its verticle side. But when I click that side then the option of convection disappears automatically and couldn't be able to give that temperature. hope you understand
Hi Tanmay Thank you for the video. 1. How to make a 3D geometry into half along its symmetry plane? for example, If we want to cut the 3D mixing elbow into half along the symmetry axis to reduce the meshing and run time? I have seen that option in design modeler, but couldn't find that in SpaceClaim. 2. In the above video, how to locate the circle at certain distance from any of the edges? Thank you in advance
how to make fluids to flow from 1 geometry to another, as if a pipe joined to a cylinder. do we need to specify special boundaries? as if its outlet of one body is taken as inlet of another body?? any help will be appreciated..
why in mass properties the principal moment in ( mm^5) , what this mean???it must bee in( mm^4),if they mean( principal moment of inertia)>>>>whay its for power 5???????
Hi Tanmay, Thank you so much for this tutorial. I want to know how to create a hole across the solid at any angle. My problem is like inverted V hole configuration where one hole is at the end of V and another hole is at the another end of the V. These two holes are extended into the solid and make an angle at centreline of the solid.
Nice video. I'd like to create a tank with a pipe, so I created two solids, the pipe attached to the tank's surface, do I have to make a hole in the tank? and should I define the pipe like fluid? or they I just solids? cause I want to simulate a draining tank
Very Informative sir. I am a beginner in ANSYS. Can I know if I want to incline a channel on particular angle how can I customise the angle of inclination in space claim geometry. Thanks in anticipation.
I believe you can define the base geometry at an angle. I haven't used SpaceClaim in a while, but there should be an option of defining the angle between your base rectangle and any axis that you want to incline it with.
@@TanmayAgrawal7 Thanks for the quick reply sir. Can you plz help me in the modeling of mud slurry in a rectangular channel.I want to know how can be defined the rheology of the flow in Fluent CFD. is it possible to add the rheological parameter CFD analysis and how ?
Hello sir, I want to design the same structure in the micrometer range (the slab having dimension of 10x10 micrometer and hole radius of 0.1 um). Is it possible to design such a small structure in ANSYS spaceclaim?
Hello, your sharing video is very good. I have a question I would like to ask. I want to draw a wave spring with spaceclaim, I need to draw a rectangular cross section and then stretch along a spatial curve. How can I achieve this? Thank you
Personally, I have not worked much with spaceclaim. In CAD software, there is usually such feature that you can "trace" a goemetry (rectangle) along a curve. I usually work with Inventor and import the .IGES file in ANSYS.
@@TanmayAgrawal7 Hello, I am doing a sensitivity analysis of wave spring, using the optislang module in the workbench. I made a parametric wave spring 3D model with Siemens nx and imported it into the workbench, but it can't display these parameters in the workbench. Do you have any good way to display these parameters in the workbench? Thank you
thank you for the tutorial, are there any combustion design tutorial on spaceclaim ?

In my opinion, as long as the mesh is continuous, it should flow flawlessly.
How can I change my units from mm to m, while using the geometry, please can someone help me?

Usually I create more complex geometry in Inventor or Solidworks and then import that in fluent.
how did you select the plane to sketch that rectangle?
The planes are shown as a very light color if you observe. Still facing issue?

Yes. There are options to change the units, as simple as that :)
Thanks tanmay! But I need you help actually I'm making my graduation project on ansys itself and there are lots of problem I've been facing
Brother how to create 2D surfce using spaceclaim it's easy on ansys 15 with design modeler but with spaceclaim I am facing difficulty please help
You can still use design modeller with newer version of ANSYS. Right click on geometry module and you should see an option to do that.
@@TanmayAgrawal7 thanks a lot brother for early reply actually my friend was facing the issue I still use ansys 15

how to import cad models from catia to ansys
In the earlier version, I used to export .CAT 3D model as .IGS/.IGES and import it over to ANSYS. Have you tried that?
No,pls can you make a video on how to import catia file to ansys
