    Hang on a mo, at 11:35 why not a Geometry Check ? Hmm, looks terrible. That particular area is done either intentionally extremely poorly as an example or done by someone who shouldn't be designing...Ok, i just read the discussion about this - a novice designer...modeling to represent welds that explains those shapes. Useful discussion re pro's and cons on Tet / Quad meshing - Thanks.
    Some very good tips re repairing troublesome geometry.
    A useful video all around.

    so for CFD meshing, all different parts of geometry somehow need to be connected ??

    One question: if we eliminate this issues around the surfaces, which is what we aim for, we are adding a very small amount of thickness and that is actually a modification of the original component, right? Do we want that? Thanks for the video!!!

      All models are approximations of reality. Small deviations will not significantly change the result.
